Picked up some noble fir from Safeway and I’m not mad about it. It’s snowing today so it’s the perfect wintery touch for the weekend 👌🏻🌨 I popped them bad boys in some cold water away from any heat source and I’m praying they stay lush for a while 🤞🏻 Hope you have a fantastic Friday! 🤗
I’m so happy and proud that my kids love books! I love changing the theme every couple of weeks and I love to see my daughter’s face when she comes home and is excited to see what books are up! 🤓 #beingnerdyiscool#bookworms#shelfie#fallvibes
Hosted one of my first events last night at the Rewilded Loft with the delightful @littlejoskitchen and her Aryuvedic cooking classes. Delicious and beautiful amaranth porridge and jackfruit curry with wonderful company.❤🙏❤ Just need some proper Indian textiles in here but that will come in 2019!
• N e s t i n g • Ok, so no surprises! But alongside my relentless sickness I think it’s possible my nesting has started 🤭 I mean, it’s mroe@of a constant thing for me, pregnant or not. But it seems a whole new level of intense knowing a new member of the tribe will be joining us in a few short months. Today the kitchen got it. Our recycling is now full of odd Tupperware lids, slightly chipped glass wear and anything else that stood in my way. Feels.So.Good.
Loki definitely has that Friday feeling! What are your plans this weekend? I feel like I’m coming down with the lurgy that’s going around and I have a very busy week coming up, so I’m planning a slow, lazy one. The cat clearly is, too...
As many of you may know, my husband and I have turned our love for fixing up homes into a business! We are super new to this whole "running a business" thing and have alot to learn. That being said, God created this desire and gift in us for a reason so we are going for it! You can follow along our journey (and snoop through my house a little) via our Instagram account @lifespaceinteriorsllc 😉
// The trees are pretty bare and the days are short, but the upside is it's so much brighter in our kitchen during the winter months. I'll happily take it, even if it does only last for a few hours. 🙈 #wisconsinlife#hibernationmode
Also I spontaneously decided to take the doors off of some of the cupboards in our kitchen last night in a fit of organizational destressing...and I think I'm a fan. 🤷🏼♀️ Are you team open shelving? Or does it drive you crazy to see the clutter?
Happy Friday △⃒⃘ ⚯͛ Finally we’re going to watch the Fantastic Beasts tonight, I’m so excited. I’m seriously thinking going all dressed up with my Gryffindor uniform but not sure how the muggles in Switzerland will take it... ✨
Just have to share my secret to hanging frames and mirrors! *************************************The little gadget I discovered makes it soooooo easy to hang things! You literally push them into the walls with your thumbs(must be drywall)! The first time I tried them, I hung up all my art in 20 minutes! It's perfect for renters too because it leaves the tiniest holes in the wall. The next time you move, you can just remove them and dab the matching paint on the hole with a cotton swab. Super easy!!! Follow the link in my bio, then scroll to the end of the post! 📸@srivkiphotography, @arttoframes for great frames!
We’ve been using our Caria hand and face towel lately and are declaring it our favorite face towel ever, of all time, ever and ever. It’s so plush and soft and absorbent but also gently exfoliating in a way that each time we dry our faces, we’re like, “oh hello there, ya beaut!” You know when you just get your face routine down so perfectly? Favorite face wash, favorite towel, favorite face oil, and voila—fresh and glowing skin! Such a good feeling so if we’re being too enthusiastic, DON’T CARE. 😝

Well hey there Friday 👋🏻 .
I’m baking today!! But not these 😬 you can check my story later to see my progress.. 🦄 🎂.
Do you have a go to Holiday cookie? Put it below!🥧🍪☕️🥐
Cheers to all my favs!
A perfect example of my style and emotional needs being met! This is my quiet time nook. Now I have my quiet time after I feed my little squish. I sit here to pray and meditate while rocking her. It's a small space so I needed a small scale chair that was also comfortable. Check! This vintage rocker doesn't look comfortable but it is! I recovered it in vinyl so it would resist coffee stains and now spit up stains! I also needed a table that was no larger than 12" in diameter but also had storage to hold my journal, bible and any book that I am reading. Love my nook and it feeds me emotionally! Now more than ever!

TGIF friends! 🎉🎉🎉
If you've been following along with us for while, you know I've been looking for the perfect piece for our entry way. Well, here it is! 😍
We live in a rustic log home with hints of Spanish elements. Initially I had tried to play off that with more rustic and antique pieces, but I felt that it took away from the natural architecture and feel of our home. 💁🏻 I've always LOVED the look of midcentury modern decor as it lends itself to a more simplistic clean look, and well...with a house full of character, we needed to tone it down with the furniture we choose for it. The majority of our furniture is handmade by Ryan, so we decided to take a vintage piece and refinish it for this space. 👌🏼 We only refinished the body of this piece, as we wanted to embrace the natural wood and small imperfections of the drawer fronts. ❤️Each imperfection tells a story, and I love that! ✨
We're still running our GIVEAWAY of three ceramic wall hangings for you and two friends. Check our previous post for details on how to enter. This is a detail of one we wrapped and sent out this week. Can you see the faint stamp detail on the tissue paper? So so faint.
snow = weekend spent indoors with a good book ❄️
what’s a must read book for you? mine is bad feminist by roxane gay. I always go back to her essays when I need an intelligent read or a good laugh, or both!
Hey all I don’t know about you but this time of year has me considering new projects and looking for inspiration like what I’ve found by Kathleen @fadedcharmliving and my own friend Ronnie @ronnieisenberg
I just love the look of all the white and then the baskets 🧺. I mean seriously what’s not to 💕love?
So check them both out if your looking for #inspiration because they both have tons of it but in different styles. ⠀
My shop will be on a break for the next week. We are celebrating my Mom’s birthday this weekend ✨. She is amazing and she is coming to town AND we get to celebrate her in her new house! 18 more days until she officially moves to Spokane. We will be taking extra care to be present with each other. Many of you are aware that there will be an empty seat at all our celebrations this year and you have sent uplifting messages and told me you can relate to losing a sibling or close loved one. My thoughts are with you ✨. I know these holidays will sting in those moments when we can tend to focus on the void and loss. I am going to work hard to set my prayers and thoughts towards the positive moments we had with my Sister, Nikki. My Mom and I want to celebrate her and find JOY in the beauty that is present and around us. We all believe that she is with God, in the most beautiful place imaginable, Heaven. Can we just think about that for a minute? How amazing is that promise?! .
Thankfully I get to call this cozy home ours. That chair is my comfort zone. I have curled up many times there, in prayer or to drink my evening tea. I’m starting to read again, too. Do you have a favorite book? I’d love some uplifting, encouraging book recommendations.
