“White the October air, no snow, easy to breathe
beneath the sky, lies, lies everywhere writhing and gasping
clutching and tangling, it is not easy to breathe
Lies building their tendrils into dim figures
who disappear down corridors in west-side apartments
into childhood’s proof of being wanted, not
betrayal staving off loneliness...”
Sure. We know. Obvious, right? But the point is: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Strategy as a term is used so flippantly, that sometimes we think it can only be that big 10-yearly event where the entire future of the company is decided and there's no going back. And sometimes we get so overwhelmed with the complexity of it all and abandon all plans in the name of "creativity". That's not good either. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While you must have a longterm vision - 10 years is reasonable - the ideal strategy identifies strides to take for 2-3 years. The world develops at such a rapid pace now, that anything more is just wasted work as you'll have to revise. You identify three big things that must happen to get you to the next level, and then you drill down. What must change? In which areas? How? What's the measure for success? How will it affect our people? How do we handle that? Who should do what? And how do we make sure that *everyone* understands what, why and how we're doing this - and takes ownership of it right from the beginning? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A couple of pointers:
- If you haven't considered the latter, your plan is doomed.
- If it doesn't make sense to your people, you're doomed. - If they're not somehow involved in deciding what must happen, you're doomed. - If... ok. You get it. People. Your strongest asset. They make the strategy happen. They achieve your vision. They need to be in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🏰HOW TO GET TO MONT SAINT MICHEL 🏰
As promised, here are all the details you need to plan your day trip to this surreal place!
-It’s just 3 hours from Paris
-The Mont & Abbey can be covered in 4-5 hours, making it convenient to return on the same day
-You can catch the train from Gare Montparnasse direct to Mont St. Michel via Villedieu Poeles (no need to buy separate tickets as the change is included in the original ticket price)
-Just make sure to reach Montparnasse way before time as it’s a huge station and finding the correct platform is not super easy
-Once you reach the Mont St Michel stop, there are free shuttles every 10 mins which take you to the Mont
-If you prefer to experience the horse driven carriages, you’ll have to shell out a nominal charge
-While at the Mont, make sure to try the Salted Caramel Ice-cream, it’s soo freakin good, I could’ve emptied the entire tub! Also, it’s a speciality of this place 🍦
-For lunch, you can skip the famous Saint Michel Omlette, as there’s nothing so special about it, I would suggest to try the Crêpés instead
-Make sure to carry Water with you as the walk to the Abbey gets pretty exhausting. Also, be prepared to be swamped with tourists in the narrow passageways, the local population of this place is around 50 with 3 million tourists every year! 🙀
-The wind situation here is pretty bad, my heavy iPhone 8 Plus was about to fly off! #justFYI
Hope this helps you to plan your trip the next time you’re in France. This place is definitely worth a visit! .

If you dare to Lunge forward without certainty about where you are going or how to get there, you stay open to what life has to offer you apart from what you think it is like.
I can’t help but reflect on this saying when the whole new Boston 2020 qualifying times were announced yesterday.
My qualifying time was 3:40 and my PR was 3:47. Now I have a few years at 3:35 and then a whole 5 years at 3:40. This feels so daunting to me!!! I have always dreamed of running Boston. It’s the one thing I have yet to do... and I have done a lot of stuff 😉 I always thought it was somewhat attainable but now I may have to wait until I’m 50 to get there!
Guess it’s time to buckle down and ask myself how bad do I really, really want it?!?
Also for anyone who ran a qualifying time and didn’t get in. I am so sorry! I know it has to be heartbreaking to qualify and yet not be able to go and run it! 💔 -E
The festival will be held at the Jewel beachfront and will be accessible from Wharf Road 👍🏼 Although street parking around the precinct is limited, the festival is easily accessible from the @gclightrail or you can park and walk along the beautiful beach from Surfers Paradise Beach or Broadbeach 🚊☀️
Two weeks ago we were exploring for the first time the streets of Philadelphia. Got to run the “Rocky Steps”, eat more cheesesteaks than we should and learn a little bit about history 🇺🇸 #madeinamerica
Value yourself first, so you don’t need validation from outside. Even though seeing your own worth and accepting that is the hardest thing for some of us, it’s necessary otherwise you’ll just stay “stuck” desperately attracting what you want even though your heart and soul very much know what you actually need.
Unconditional love, is rare and I feel we all owe it to ourselves, after all the relationship with yourself is the longest one you will ever have. And don’t fuss, be in this state and you’ll meet others that are right there with you. 🤗🙏🏻
