I’ve been waiting for my dslr WiFi plug-in thingy all day so I can take some better quality photos and not have to do the whole upload/download business but no luck so far... so here is my beautiful Syngonium Podophyllum or Pink Arrowhead Vine which I got in my last shopping spree snapped once again on the old faithful iPhone. The soft pink makes me think of the 80s and my little denim biker girl outfit I had in this exact shade .
One of our favorite things to do is #explore 🌲 sometimes we run across plants that we know and it feels nice to be able to name them. Other times, we run across plants that we have never heard of and we go on reddit to try to figure out the name. This world is certainly filled with amazing and beautiful plants. We thought it would be nice to share plants that we have come across for day 3 of #campplants 🌿
#GrumpyGardening (aka forced gardening): when you don't particularly WANT to be messing with plants for the better part of the morning, but it's summer so they've all decided to come down with various bugs (literally) and your options are either deal with it now or a worse problem later. 🤦
It's today!! You guys! My very first Houseplant Basics (of many more to come!) is happening in just one hour!
I am over the moon excited. What an honor to share my crazy love for things that grow in such an intimate setting.
If you want in on this action jump on my email list! Plus, to do so, you can grab your free copy of the Houseplant Warning Signs Guide. This guide is designed to be a resource to keep you from freaking out! To remind you that's you've got this and that plants, like all living things, have natural growth cycles, experience pain and hardship, and great big spurts of growth. (And it'll help you figure out what the heck is wrong with your plant!) Alright. I need to go prep for the WORKSHOP!!!! 🕺🕺 I am a happy mixture of so freaking excited, nervous, and feeling just completely blessed to be here.
Photo by @asia.dore. She is the best at capturing my goofy self. And just in general. 😘
Missing home like... a lot. I guess the person who inspired me to be the person i am right now is my dad. Look at his tiny garden on one of our windows 😍 and it's just a small corner of the apartment filled with green roomies 🍃 i miss them
Let’s talk about the 🐘 in the room. Or plant rather 🌱🤔 I’ve been struggling to decide if I want to remove all the soil and attempt to separate these three Anthurium Veitchii. To be honest, I’m a bit scared! I don’t want to hurt this babe but these guys grow into massive plants. Having three of them crammed like this can’t be good for her long term. On the other end of the argument is the worry that I’ll hurt it in the process of splitting them up. So far each of these plants has put out at least one new leaf in the last couple of months. One of them decided it was time to put out a second. It’s that fresh baby you see at the end. So here I am asking you guys for a little input. Should I let them be or split these babes up? Decisions, decisions! 😆
🌱Pothos propagation update🌱 Swipe to see ——> exactly one month ago, on May 23rd, I had cut off all vines of my most viney pothos. Decided to cut those vines in three and water propagate them. One month later and this is one of three-four new plants 😁
I love a good variegated plant. They almost don’t seem like they can be real with some of the patterns they have. I’m always on the lookout for an #aglaonemapictumtricolor or a #musaaeae but for now I’m happy with this beauty who has been putting out fancy new leaves nonstop.
ATTENTION: All large indoor ficus plants are currently 30% OFF for a limted time. 😱
If you've been wanting to bring home one of the interent's most famous #houseplants , then you're in luck. We have Ficus lyrata (Fiddle Leaf Fig), Ficus elastica (Rubber Tree), and more.
