Enjoying our final “paktor” to the fullest before I start work next week! Did a whole lot these two days - Avengers movie, tried German burgergrill Hans im Glück, checked out the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar, went for the “Our Untold Story” exhibition at the National Gallery, Truffle Ramen at Kanshoku and finally some of my favourite soufflé pancakes at Hoshino Coffee. ❤️ #justusnokids#joblessdays#nationalgallerysg#hansimglückburger#kanshokuramen#hoshinocoffeesg
[Hoshino Coffee] - Pancake Souffle Style with Strawberry ($12.80) which consists of a double layer of thick pillowy pancakes soaked in fresh cream, and topped with strawberries as well as a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The dish plays out a perfect tangy-sweet balance with the fresh berries and ice cream, while the fresh cream added some moistness to the pancakes which have a drier texture. Do note that the dish takes about 20 minutes to prepare, so it’s best to let the service staff know in advance once you are ready to have it served.
These light and fluffy pancakes is good with seasonal strawberry. 🍓 🥞 You may order this dessert for your dinner set! .

Ginger Chicken Rice from Hoshino Coffee Singapore (@hoshinocoffeesg). The chicken rice elements - down to the distinctive fragrance of coriander - played surprisingly faithful to their source material whilst the rice was a cross between baked and glutinous rice, resulting in a curious crossover not unlike a rhinoceros wearing a Nanyang Girls' High School uniform. 3.5/5
PS There is an on-going $60 all-day promotion which covers two mains, two drinks and a dessert, which is tremendous value.
Fuwa fuwa omu soufflé porcini rice ($17.90) at @hoshinocoffeesg. Waited suuuuuuuper long for it (my colleague was like 3/4 done with her food). If you like cream of mushroom soup, al funghi or just mushrooms in general, you may want to try this! The soufflé is light and fluffy with a crispy crust and there’s cheese in the rice too. It tastes similar to mushroom risotto.
Personally, i like the mushrooms and rice but not so much for omu soufflé coz I prefer to taste the full flavour of eggs. The omu soufflé mellows the egg flavour so it tastes somewhat like a bubbly froth with a hint of egg-iness. Service is wonderful despite the long wait. .
