Kidding! This is a spoon made a gallium- aluminum alloy which reacts with water. HORMONES UPDATE // Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the messages I received regarding my rant about hormones a couple of weeks ago.
It's because of your helpful suggestions and support that I took action and visited a specialist today. She was very helpful and guided me through future options. Long story short, she affirmed that my body doesn't produce progesterone nor estrogen by itself. So even if I were to switch from a non-hormonal coil to a hormonal one, I'd still have to get estrogen on prescription (albeit half the medication therefore half the cost). Due to positive feedback from you guys, I decided that this is something I'll do in spring when this batch of HRT runs out, and at this point I'll have an evaluation again. While I hoped my body would sort itself out, over the last 2 weeks unwanted symptoms of hormonal issues have started to return, such as spots. I'm too vain to let these get any worse, so I accepted a further 6 months treatment. 😂

It's not fair. Let me just start with that. Because it isn't fair that your adrenal glands misfire cortisol and keep you from sleeping and then that lack of sleep makes those adrenals misbehave even more. Lame.
Sleep is crucial to regulating cortisol levels. However, people with high anxiety often have sleep disorders as well. Sleep disorders can exacerbate anxiety, which further worsens the body’s cortisol levels and inflammation.
In a typical circadian rhythm, cortisol levels rise in the morning to help you wake up. At night, cortisol levels decline as melatonin rises. Bedtime is the time when your body “resets.”
For some people with high anxiety, this rhythm can be flipped and instead they produce high levels of cortisol at night and low levels of cortisol in the morning. This can a disruption in the circadian rhythm and cause fatigue during the day and sleeplessness at night. Not sleeping can worsen inflammation and illness, which further contributes to high anxiety.
You need to get your body back to a healthy sleep pattern to reduce these cortisol levels and have a restful night’s sleep.
For patients in my practice struggling with anxiety or sleep disturbance I recommend two supplements—Adrenal Calm and Sweet Dreams. IS STRESS DERAILING YOUR HEALTH?
In my time working as a health and fitness professional it’s become evident that the biggest struggle for many is their stress levels.
Working too much or not enjoying it, tricky relationships, poor diet, over training - all cause physical and mental stress.
Stressing the body through physical means can have both positive and negative effects. Pushing yourself to extremes on a regular bases, combined with other factors such as an inadequate diet or heavy work load will cause the body to break down. Injury and illness is almost a certainty.
When your feeling a little overwhelmed, take a step back, breath, and looking for a solution that’s going to reduce the stressors or mind and body one step at a time.
Managing stress levels via alternative means such as yoga, meditation, ti chi, and other less assertive methods of movement can be a great way to bring balance and lower those cortisol levels.
And remember, most of the shit we stress about doesn’t even matter...we just need to let go 😉
Dr Dan Maggs is a busy health care professional, his busy lifestyle meant that he was grabbing food on the go a lot, relying on what was available in the hospital and surgery canteens.
As a GP he'd tried all the conventional advice around less calories in (being hungry) and moe calories out (more exercise) but despite his best efforts he seemed to be getting heavier and heavier.

The Seeds Cycle.
Now we all know seeds are good for our health. They're packed with omega 3s and antioxidants.
Some seeds also help boost estrogen and progesterone levels to keep them hormones balanced. If you're looking for a mild simple harmless way to help your cycle and boost hormones, this is it!. From day 1 to day 14, one tablespoon each of ground flax and pumpkin seeds. This is for estrogen.

One year ago today I began my transition, yay one year!! Haha.
Before I began #hormones I didnt think I wanted to be open about my #transition , I didn't feel like being known as #trans would be in any way good for me. Well I was wrong. I am so proud to be a #transman and it didnt take long after beginning hormones to figure that out. Seeing many trans men being open and honest on social media and how much they were helping really opened my eyes.
I live in a small town and wasn't sure how they would react, but since the beginning I have been lucky enough to have little to no problems during this year. I am also very lucky to have an amazing group of friends and awesome family who have supported me since day one.
I am truly blessed by the life I have been given and being able to live it how I want.
To anyone who may not have support from friends and family, there are people who are just a short message away that can give you support. Even complete strangers. Don't be afraid to reach out to the community

Las famosas pastillas anticonceptivas.
Es la regla: si tenés #SOP lo primerísimo que te recetan son anticonceptivos hormonales.
Según yo (bueno, según la ginecóloga) estas pastillas me iban a “regular” el ciclo. Así que yo, muy obediente, las tomé por 13 años sin falta.
¿Me regularon el ciclo? No.
Me inhibieron la producción de hormonas. Básicamente me pusieron los ovarios en off. .
Vean si no me regularon el periodo PARA NADA que de hecho no tuve periodo en 13 años.
Lo que experimentamos durante los 7 días en los que no se toman pastillas (o se toma el placebo) es un sangrado por deprivación, no es la menstruación.
¿Me curaron el SOP? Tampoco.
Sólo me callaron los síntomas del desbalance hormonal porque dejé de producirlas y en su lugar estaba tomando un compuesto químico parecido a mis hormonas naturales.
¿Qué sí hacen las pastillas anticonceptivas?
* Provocan cambios en el peso
* Cambios de humor
* Incrementan el riesgo de algunos tipos de cáncer y enfermedades cardiovasculares
Y otras tantas cosas...
No estoy haciendo campaña en contra de los anticonceptivos orales. Yo soy la primera en defender el derecho de cada una a elegir lo que prefiera PERO también defiendo el derecho a tener la información correcta. A conocer los efectos y los beneficios que lo que consumimos nos puede ocasionar, o en este caso no ocasionar.

SEED CYCLING FOR HORMONE BALANCE 🌺 I typically wait to share about things until AFTER I’ve tried them, but I’ve read so many success stories following this method that I’m instead inviting you to experiment alongside me! Seed cycling involves eating specific seeds at specific times during your monthly cycle, specifically flax seeds and pumpkin seeds during the menstrual/follicular phases [days 1-13], and sesame seeds and sunflower seeds during the ovulation/luteal phases [days 14-28].
