This week we have the famous Ed’s Warehouse in business from 1963-2000
After purchasing & refurbishing the nearby #royalalexandratheatre Ed Mirvish (of #honesteds fame) realized the need for local dining in the otherwise still industrial area of #Toronto
He bought & renovated the adjoining warehouse featuring garish red flocked wallpaper, Tiffany lamps, huge vases & bronze/marvel statues. It opened with a cost saving set menu of prime rib, mashed potatoes, green peas, Yorkshire pudding & gravy. Jacket & ties were mandatory for men (as I remember from dining there in the early 90s)
It was so successful he eventually expanded along the strip of #kingstreetwest opening Ed’s Seafood, Ed’s Chinese, Ed’s Italian & Old Ed’s eventually capping off the area with the #princessofwalestheatre in 1993
Slowly through the 90’s the restaurants closed with Ed’s Warehouse being the last closing in 2000

Look 👀 out world 🌍 I’m coming for you. #Fabricland has always been my #fabricstore from when I started sewing with my mom @eulahebanks and when I was sewing in high school. I would make it my task to go everyday after work to the location that was in #honesteds . I need to start going back to the location on #orfusroad because I did buy some great #fabrics . I was doing my little hip dance when I was telling my mom that @fabriclandontario put my photo in their story 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾. This is the greatest news I heard today. Nothing can stop my glory 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. Wow 😮, thank you Fabricland. I need to make a post with only fabric from your store as my way of saying thank you 🙏🏾. I would have missed this story if I didn’t take a break from #reupholstering my sisters chairs. I just wanted to see what was happening on #instagram and what great story Fabricland was having. I’m so happy I never missed this 🤩🤩😍😍 shoutout. I’m on top of the world 🌎 right now 😜😜😜🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩. Ok my sister Linda I will get back to your chairs 🤗🤗. Oh yes and the fabric I’m using is from Fabricland 😍😍😍. It’s a sign 😇. Enjoy your day everyone and continue to dream big. I got a post from FABRICLAND!!!!!!!! (yelling from the top of my lungs) Many blessings 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. #biggirllife#fashion#material#store#company#shoutout#6ix#northyork#toronto#dufferin#membership
Today was AMAZING!!! I was still nervous 😬 but everyone was truly great. I made new friends 🙏🏾🙏🏾 which is always great too 😍😍. Let me start with getting up this morning and I started getting ready around 9:00-10:00am. Mind you I didn’t have to be there until 2:30pm. I wanted everything to be perfect. Today I’m wearing #madebylesiacole#mentalhealthtshirt with pride. I knew only a selection of people would get the symbol for #bipolar so it wasn’t too bad and for the people who understood I didn’t feel any negativity from their vibes. Just like the song, I’m a walking trophy 🏆 @hoodcelebrityy #igotsuperpowers @kanyewestt_official. I don’t think this will be my only time making this design 🤩😍. Special thank you goes out to @hrh_foundation @hrhospital @lfrae, @davewelbourn, Lori, @christinagapic @lizgareri and getting to #model with my nurse 👩🏾⚕️. Everyone was amazing 🤗🤗. I can’t stop saying #amazing . I told you about the @hrhospital and the wonderful washroom mirrors that take off about 20lbs 💪🏾. I just love my #hospitalwashroomselfie 🤳🏾😍😍. There is so much more beautiful spaces in this hospital 😍😍. One space on the 5th floor has this bridge, just like the one that was in #honesteds but this one is a natural photo ready and you can take a seat on the benches to take it all in. I didn’t fully get to enjoy the space but I did really enjoy myself. I bet the closets have great lighting too💡😜😜. Do you see why I gave myself so much time with my makeup 💄 lol 😂. This was another amazing experience and I will never forget it 🗄. My selfies are just a little taste of what we have in store for everyone to see. Back to work and we will talk soon. Many blessings 🙏🏾🙏🏾. One more thing. I really could get to really and truly loving this star treatment 🤩🤩😍😍😂😂😜😜. Sweet dreams 💤. #biggirllife#fashion#hospital#photoshoot#photography#photographer#africancloth#wilson#northyork#fam#godsplan#walkingtrophy 🤩🤩😍😍Fabric: @jagjittextile

With every photograph Giancarlo demonstrates a level of artistry in his composition that is absolutely amazing to look at. We were struck by how intensely he conveyed thematic mood in his work. Every photograph of his that we’ve seen feels like a story unto itself. Cheers to you Giancarlo!
