LIVE • LOVE • LIFT
It’s crazy that less than three years ago that third L didn’t even exist for me, and now I’m not myself without all of them in harmony. •
To think how many years I spent as a strictly cardio bunny 🐰 to avoid getting bulky by lifting weights 🙈
So happy to continually learn as I go through this life.

This is a picture of my 2 car garage that i decided to turn into a full on #garagegym about a week ago. As you can see I had/have a lot of work to do. Over the next month or 2 this thing is going to be turned into my dream home gym(minus all the crazy expensive equipment.) I’ve done hours of research and searching to find the best bang for my buck, and between that and cleaning/remodeling the whole garage, in all I estimate over 20+ hours to create what I wanted. Stay tuned, the next time you see this bad boy it’ll be a thing of beauty🤠. 🏋🏻♂️ #garagegymlife#fitfam#homegym
PS: thanks to my wife for allowing me to do this- she didn’t quite realize all the boxes and deliveries and excessive talking about it that was involved, so preesh to you wifey!🙌🏼
Yeah... YOU!!! Happy Saturday gorgeous! Got my workout in with my ladies and Gracie this morning (see stories)... also got my 🍑 handed to me with THE BEST HIIT circuit ever... no seriously!
Working out used to bring me so much anxiety. I’d miss a workout... because LIFE... and then give up! How messed up is that? I would never have given up on a friend if plans fell through, or my hubs if he didn’t do the dishes one night... well maybe 😜
My #accountabilitypartners keep me focused and on track. Honestly, from the beginning, they are what changed around how I work out and WHY! And now I’m down almost 25 lbs and stronger than ever. Need something powerful like that? Join us! #youcansitwithus
Don’t neglect your hamstrings!
I hope you know that there are so many ways to target the back of your legs that help us in so many ways as athletes and as people!
I am using our home gym door attachment and our pull-up band to do a single leg standing hamstring curl!
What is the exercise that sets your hamstrings on fire?! 🔥🔥🔥
We’ve really been digging in over the past few weeks & pushing the diet while keeping the effort up in the #GAMESandGAINS so although there have been a few tough days along the way, looks like things are slowly coming together & I think we’re going to be ready to rock in 16 days at Muscle Beach💪🏼😎👍🏼
Week 5 done!
I’m sorry I didn’t post yesterday... we got home from camping unpacked, worked out snuggled the dogs and just felt like doing nothing! .☠️
I intended to workout in the woods but my phone didn’t download my workout fully. So I did it when I got home.. not my best workout, I love doing it in the morning when I’m fresh and full of energy!! I did increase weights and worked my 🍑off doing the HIIT component!! Happy weekend all!!
🔥 BANDED BURN 🔥
Bands ... we love them AND we hate them. 😈
I played around with my new @hopefitnessgear bands yesterday and created this little full-body workout for ya!
I’m using their medium red hip circle band and medium latex miniband here. I love this brand because they donate 10% of their proceeds to charitable organizations helping children with childhood cancer and other illnesses. This is a purchase you can feel good about — and one that’ll give you a solid workout. 💪🏼 Use code “ABBIE” for 15% off!
Banded knees are a great way to increase that glute burn on exercises like squats and lateral steps, but it’s important to follow a few key rules:
👉🏼Don’t step out so wide that you simply drag the back foot along (lateral walks).
👉🏼Don’t allow the knees to collapse inward (drive them out).
👉🏼Maintain tension on the band.
I love to find ways to use my bands for core and upper body, too! Try out these plank lateral stepouts for a shoulder burn like no other. 🔥
Focus on your alignment. When everything is in its place, embrace the burn! .
12 front squat (goblet squat will work, too!)
12 Romanian deadlift
12 pulse jump squat
12 lateral plank stepouts
12 kneeling row (12/arm)
12 overhead Superman pulls (sorry you can barely see this one ... thanks, pups 😅🐾)
Saturday spin and hiit workout because I had the day off on Wednesday with my little Anna and @masksbykathryn in skeggy. 45 minutes hiit, 15 minutes spinning maybe an hour's dance practice is better than watching old man vs food all day. Which is what I usually do on a Saturday 😆 #instafit#hiitworkout#endorphins#exercise#homegym#listeningtolitaford
Quick lower body workout:
Curtesy lunges 4 x 12 each leg
Banded hip thrusters: 4 x 20
One DB Squats: 4 x 10 (this method helps me keep weight off of my back. Because I have a history of a broken vertebrae I have to be wise in my exercise choices)
Reverse lunges: 4 x 10 each leg
Calf raises: 4 x 15 —this is a quick at home workout!
If you don’t have dumbbells then find something heavy in your home to use.
—bands can be found on amazon. These are MUST haves for your fitness needs. —share and/or save this post to refer back to it.
After a whirlwind international business trip at 34 weeks pregnant I can offer the following tips and observations.
-Get a note from your doctor stating that you're medically cleared to fly! I was asked for it both times.
-Pack light! You're already lugging around an almost fully grown baby so why add more weight?
-Look for priority lines! Traveling to Latin America has priority lines for pregnant women, families with small children, senior citizens and passengers with additional needs. I entered into the regular line at one point and a Chilean customs agent came out of his booth to escort me to be next in line!
-Chile in particular has a pre-maternity leave policy so they aren't used to seeing bellies as big as mine in business suits and meetings! I got asked a lot of questions about why I was still working, let alone doing international travel! Everyone wanted to carry my bag, offer me an arm to walk down the stairs and make sure I had everything I needed.
-Drink tons of water. Duh! And because you're drinking so much water you'll have to get up a lot to pre and that movement helps keep circulation flowing.
-Use compression socks for the flight. I had no issues swelling.
-On the overnight flight, don't try to sleep the whole way. There's no point. Eat the meal, watch a few movies and when your eyes are barely starting open, close them and sleep for a few hours. A body with 34 week pregnant belly is just not going to sleep comfortably for more than 4 to 5 hours on a plane. And within those 4 or 5 hours you'll still wake up to pre in the middle anyway. -Being this pregnant on a plane can make some people nervous. My neighbor on the flight back was an older gentleman who didn't say one word to me until we landed safely. In the morning he said to me that he'd been praying my safety and smooth travel through the night. Some people just aren't used to seeing super pregnant women kicking ass. That's ok.
-Stay super intune to your body, baby and your belly. Do several "body checks" where you take a few moments to really scan how you're feeling. Mentally and physically. Is your body feeling ok?
My shirt says it all #thankful for the company I work for!! Today as a huge company @beachbody did #TheBigSweat what a way to get us all to workout. It’s the biggest virtual fitness event of the summer!! Hopefully you all got your workout in today, too 👋🏼 #promotionentry
Friendship isn’t about who you have know the longest. It’s about who walked into your life and said “I’m here for you” and proved it. .
Who knew starting my own business would give me the best friendships that I could ask for. 💕
Holy ish that humidity was ridiculous this morning! Completely drenched. Breathing still wasn’t great and dealing with extra 😪 but dig deep and got 5 miles in, with hills 👊🏻
For the price of a #lululemon outfit , I was able to start a business where I would turn a profit in month 1 by working 2 hours a day (depending on when the kids napped)😳😳😳. Let that sink in for a second.
But the best part of it all was that I can grow my income as fast and as BIG as I want to (that 2% raise I used to get per year was crap) 🙌🏼❤️. I’m so grateful everyday that I saw a post on Facebook 3.5 yrs ago about turning fitness into a business and I said “yes” (when I was hesitant) !! Stop playing it safe and do something that challenges and changes you!!! “You don’t have to be great to start - but you DO have to start to be great” 💜
My new coach Intensive training starts Monday !! 5 spots available 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
