While I’m not home and eating this Frankenstein toast, on the most delicious plant based gluten free bread @littlenorthernbakehouse , I sure am craving it. 👻 And my kitchen. And cooking. And my bed.... While I’m having the best time on our vacation, I get homesick pretty easily. So I miss home. I miss my routines which I thrive on and comforts and everything else. But I’m going to remain in the moment here. Soak it all up. To all my basic 🎃 lovers out there, here’s a must try recipe for pumpkin spice cake! Festive AF + gluten free 🙌🏻 ⠀
1/4 c pumpkin purée
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pumpkin pie spice
1 packet stevia ⠀
Cook for 2 mins in the microwave, top with nuts, mini chocolate chips, banana slices, honey, or more peanut butter + enjoy!!

• i complained about it being too cold the other day and then last night, the radiators kicked on and it was 90° in our apartment! beggars can’t be choosers though, right? now today it’s a perfect 58° and the windows are open and i cannot stop burning Woodland Harvest. so clean and fresh with just a hint of spice and fruit. i think i found my new favourite 🍂🌾🍃

I remember the first time I cried in a department store dressing room after trying on a pair of pants that in the past would have been 6 sizes too big and that day couldn’t be buttoned.
My boyfriend (now hubby) saw me come out and say “why didn’t you show me how the pants looked?” And I just looked at him with tears in my eyes and said I was ready to go home.
I remember feeling that way SO many times and feeling all the negative emotions you can think of. Anger, embarrassment, hatred, depression, self loathing, defeated, anxiety, resentment, more anger, etc.
Now I can remember the day I put on the pair of pants I found in the back of my closet from so long ago “just to see” if they would fit. And let me tell you, being able to button those pants felt better than any number on the scale could ever show 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So what changed? Well...me. I found a healthy lifestyle that worked for me, instead a set of rules I felt imprisoned by. And most importantly (and this is a big one, so if you’re still with me pay attention) I found a group of people who support me, believe in me, and have never given up on me even when I gave up on myself. And that my friends, made all the difference 💕

Do I wish my 2 kids ate everything I ate?! Of course!! It would make my life a whole lot easier!! But that’s not my reality right now. We are taking little steps to improve this- it’s just not an overnight fix in my house. •
So, here is my dinner- Spaghetti Squash with a meat sauce and a little parm!! It was so filling and delicious. I didn’t even miss the pasta! •

I am a homebody. I’ll be the first to say it - even though I’m sure most of my friends are well aware 🙈. I usually say no when I’m invited to things or feel relieved when plans are cancelled. I’ve noticed that lately I’ve been in the habit of saying no to everything; even the things that I know will be good for me. This awareness has been weighing heavy on me. So this past week I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and be a “yes” girl. And holy shit the shift I’ve felt is unlike anything else. I said yes to holding a 1 on 1 coaching session with someone, yes to listening to @cleowade speak, yes to going to yoga, to teaching 11 classes, to putting my phone away, to going on longer walks than usual. I’m starting to learn how to say “yes” to the things that development me - even if they’re scary. When I’m in this headspace I can filter the invitations by asking myself this: is saying “yes” going to make me happier, better, healthier or more grounded? If the answer is yes to any of the above then I’m in 🙋♀️. Here I am opening my palms up to miracles and feeling them land over and over again. I deserve this and so do you ✨
