HEY (^O^)／ You tryna have a Reese’s PB cup and eat your protein too? OooOoOhh do we have the treat for you! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Chocolate Cake Batter PB Cups ✨
Per Cup: 3c/10f/6p ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ever have mad cravings for a Reese's? Goodies loaded with HEALTHY fats and LOW amounts of sugar can actually be so beneficial in managing cravings. The *good* fats keep us energized & satiated, and the low *or zero* sugar helps keep blood sugar levels stable - aka NO crash💥and burn affect (as detailed below)... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let’s break some cravings down… You know that spike of energy🔼 we get from candy bars? Blood sugar was raised - rapidly. That hyper-like bump in energy is not sustained, blood sugar quickly decreases⏬and we find ourselves feeling more tired (aka “the crash”) a bit after consumption. Leading us to consume more… cravings increase… feeling unsatisfied… the cycle is not a pretty one! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Treats like these can potentially help break that cycle =) You CAN fuel your body with things that taste muy delicioso, give you fuel, & don’t encourage hyper-consumption - but actually ✖️fight it ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We found #19 fun and unique. Recruit Gift Givers: Rewarding yourself with gifts along the way is great in theory but tough in practice—your schedule is already jam-packed! Make it more fun and realistic by getting your friends involved. "One of the best ideas I ever heard was from a SparkPeople.com member," Nichols says. "She gave several of her friends $20 each to buy her a surprise gift, wrap it and everything. Then for each 10 pounds she lost (you could determine the interval yourself), she would open one of the gifts purchased by her friends for a really fun and surprising reward along her journey."

Regrann from @natural_natosha - Turmeric is a wonderful but are you absorbing the major component (Curcumin?)
Curcuma Longa (Turmeric)
Has a lot of health benefits and has been used for years for medicinal purposes. Its main health benefit being that it is anti-inflammatory. However turmeric possesses a important component that it gets its healing powers from in that is called (Curcumin)
Turmeric has low absorption/bioavailability for a few reasons.
1. Short half-life
2. Tissue distributions
3. Serum concentrations
4. Rapid metablosim
The problem here with turmeric is that the bioavailability of it is very low two individual if they are not activating the curcumin in it properly. Since Turmeric is classified as a fat souble it makes sense to add it to health fats so that it can pass the gut and be absorbed into the liver in the intestinal wall. Black pepper which contains pepperine as the enzyme helps to break it down so it can be properly absorbed. You can also heat it up because it increases the solubility of curcumin in water..
If you are doing any of these things then your body has no use for turmeric by itself. Since out bodies cannot convert the curcumin out of it without an activator. With and activator, the absorption increases by 12%
1. Black pepper- Sprinkle it on the Turmeric cook with it or add it to a smoothie.
2. Coconut oil- add it to a smoothie with cocount oil of cook with it.
3. Heat it up

Regrann from @natural_natosha - Are you Estrogen Dominance?
There is a such thing as too much estrogen. This is classified as Estrogen Dominance. Estrogen is only needed in tiny amounts when it becomes to much for the liver to metabolize it can lead to health issues such as
Weight gain mainly around the gut
Heavy menstrual flow and cramping (menstrual cycles are not suppose to be PAINFUL, LONG and heavy)
How does excess estrogen happen??
⬇⬇⬇ Food- Such as soy, dairy with added hormones, meat, Xenoestrogens from skincare, plastic, birth control, platic cookware, preservatives, PCBs, etc.
Excess Estrogen can cause havoc on the body. We are not suppose to be estrogen dominace. Many people when they get get a health issue that was brought on by being estrogen dominance they neglect changing their skincare, cleaning products, cookware, drinking out of plastic, etc.
What are Xenoestrogens
They are mock estrogens that bind to the natural estrogn receptor in the body and start to send unwanted signals, confusing the processes of the body and ends up causing health issues. Examples of Xenoestrogens include
Commercially- Raised animal products
Bpa canned goods
Skin care that sits in plastic
Some soaps and shampoos
Feminine tampons and pads(processed)
Now think about how often many women are coming in contact everyday with these things and look at how many women also have PCOS, Fibroids, Endo, Fertlity issues, heavy menstrual cramps, etc.
👩🏼 “I want to try ketones but they’re too expensive.”
🧔🏾 “I loved drinking ketones but had to stop because I couldn’t afford it.”
👩🏽 “I’ll just get the cheaper version on Amazon even though I know it’s not as good.”
Meanwhile, I just paid $9.87 for ALL of this. I can show you how so you can come thrive with me in ketosis or you can just keep surviving in glucosis. 🤷🏽♀️
Good Morning friends! ☀️
Here are 12 things I want for you to be aware of as you go into your new week. 👍🏻💥
12 things that can easily drain your energy if you’re not careful. Not only does this make your goals like weight loss a BIG challenge but also being present for those in your life who deserve your energy. 🤦🏻♀️
Don’t get caught up in these, be aware and have an amazing relaxing day! 🧖🏻♀️❤️
I’m going to tell you the #1 secret of losing weight and becoming overall healthier! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ready for it? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
JUST START DOING SOMETHING! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Honestly, pick a way and try it. There are far too many articles, SM posts and family members telling us that “Keto is the only way to truly lose weight” or “you must count calories to see the weight come off” or how about “detox detox detox!” All have their pros and cons- it’s up to you (and hired help if you desire) to figure out which works best in your life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every initial approach I take with my clients it relatively the same, but we make adjustments along the way to their plan so that living a healthier life fits within their current AND desired lifestyle. This is where patience, dedication and proper knowledge of food comes into making a perfect plan. Not trying the diet your friend Sally recommends, hating it and giving up on everything. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, if you’ve been wondering how to “start” for a while now, pick a way of eating and try it. Seriously, start taking action. Stick with it for at least ONE month. If you hate it, no problem try another way; if you love it, great! I guarantee no matter which way you choose, if you do it right for the whole month, the results will be there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
#ad Sunday breakfasts are a big thing around here, and this vegan cinnamon raisin French toast was a hit 🤤

What should I eat? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How much should I be eating? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Is this okay to eat? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What should I eat before my workout? After? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These are only a select number of questions my training and nutrition clients ask me everyday. So, to help answer some of these questions, I will be sharing my own meals and food/fitness journey with all of you along the way! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These posts are meant to show balance in what you eat, what balance even means, and how you can still preform at top condition without driving yourself crazy in making sure the decision you made was a right one. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No I won’t be selling you some weird MLM product or telling you that “you need this in your life”. Instead I’ll be showing you that food is your friend and that eating for your goals is more than devouring a plate of pasta OR licking a kale leaf.
New on blog! "Mind blowing perspective on Illness"
Psychosomatic Illness refers to a condition caused or exacerbated by internal conflict or stress. Can diseases really be linked to unresolved emotional pain and stress? 🌱More on blog site in bio
this little gem is the definition of real, simple, and cheap liquid GOLD! ✨ and it’s so easy to make from roasted chicken!
it’s easy to spend more on groceries than you need to! for awhile, i was buying all these different products i saw people on the gram tagging and using because i thought, it’s healthy so i “need” it, too. now i’m realizing our house and future family is really my first priority that’s definitely not cheap! so figuring out ways to spend less and make my dollar go further is becoming important, but FUN! it feels good to cook for ya fam + feed them the good stuff especially when it helps save money to build your dreams!
i saved the bone broth from this morning to my “homemade” highlight if you think it’s just too complicated to make yourself, because it isn’t! 🍗🍜👏🏼 have a good sunday, gf!
our moods-happiness, anxiety, stress-are all regulated by the endocannabinoid system. anandamide is a neurotransmitter and cannibinoid we produce naturally - described as the “bliss molecule” - but some people produce higher levels of an enzyme that breaks it down. eat more cacao 🍫

Visiting chef Diana, my client, for lunch. I could not dismiss this invitation, I knew what I was gonna miss. Xoxo. I am inspired by her commitment and dedication to restoring her body. In just a short time she managed to come off the medications and continuous to heal herself through nutrient-dense whole foods and supplements. 🌱🌿💪
Dr. Jared Zeff, my professor and one of the original pioneers in the field of traditional Naturopathy, believes that disease or "dis-ease" (of the body) is a manifestation of imbalances that leads to an outward expression of symptoms.
Our current allopathic medical model takes these collections of symptoms and gives them a disease name in order to diagnose and treat the individual. As you can see in the figure above, as one moves down this diagram, recognizable pathology arises and disease is diagnosed.
The body is constantly working hard to maintain a harmonious state of normal health. Ill health is an adaptive response and comes from disturbances in normal biochemical function. When a chronic disturbing factor is present, the body goes through a constant state of reactivity (fever, inflammation, etc.) that over time can lead to degeneration of the body and diagnosis of disease.
The foundations of naturopathic medicine are centered on the principle of stimulating the Vis Medicatrix Naturae, Latin for “the healing power of nature.” Naturopaths respect this inherent self-healing power and recognize that the human body, in all its complexities, is one entity. Therefore, naturopaths work to identify and remove the underlying disturbing factors contributing to ill health.
To do this, naturopathic physicians utilize an extensive toolkit of modalities in their practice and follow these four principles in order to restore health.
1.Re-establishing the basis for health
2.Stimulation of the Vis
3.Tonification and nourishment of weakened systems
4.Correction of structural integrity
Unlike traditional Western medicine’s ideals, which are primarily based on the assumption that disease is a identifiable entity that can be eliminated or suppressed through treatment (drugs and surgery), naturopaths recognize that disease is a PROCESS, and aim to restore health by removing internal and external factors that are known to disturb health and cater to the whole person.
It is understood that if suppression of pathology is necessary, it should only be temporary in order to preserve quality of life until the underlying root cause can be determined.

✨G O O D V I B E S ✨ and a big welcome to this community where we will be sharing about all things CBD & Wellness. We’re here for you, to answer your questions and provide inspiration and education so you can live your best life! By now, you’ve likely heard someone, somewhere, talking about CBD and the endless health & wellness benefits... so let’s begin by bringing it back to basics and answer: WHAT IS CBD?
CBD is short for ‘Cannabidiol’. It’s the non-intoxicating (read: it will not make you feel high!) component of the cannabis plant. It’s just one of the 80+ phytochemicals occurring naturally in the cannabis plant, and it has huge therapeutic potential.
CBD has lots of real benefits, emerging science and plenty of anecdotal success for a variety of health and wellness concerns (including sleep, anxiety, skin, pain, and inflammation just to name a few). CBD works with a system in the body known as the ECS (endocannabinoid system) and it helps humans (and mammals like our furry friends 🐶) regulate homeostasis - which is the ability to maintain internal stability (majorly thrown off by stress!). Raise your 👋 if you want to try CBD!

Well friends, here we are. In the thick of the detox phase. Feeling bad, but it's giving me CONFIDENCE because I know this means I'm healing! (See my recent blog post in my #linkinbio if you haven't read the whole story. Warning: it's a doozy!) 😳
I completed the #AIP phase of my protocol, but won't stray too far from it until these symptoms subside. I'll slowly introduce a few little things I had before, but will keep it as anti-inflammatory as possible so my body can work it's healing magic. Today is a good day!
I am immensely proud of my body and what it can do. I'm proud of how hard it has fought for me over the past few years. My body and my heart worked hand-in-hand. My body fighting this stealth infection while my heart never stopped seeking out the best healer for me. And here we are - It's all finally coming together.
Full to the brim with gratitude, and excited to see how I feel a month from now!
Enjoying our Smooth(ie) Sunday because we have a week filled to the brim with development meetings, growing epic Brands, and cultivating free & valuable resources for you to use so your brand can kick a$$ too!!
We might need to make a second smoothie....
#fridgeshelfie 📸 I took before I left for Europe with kids 5 weeks ago. My husband said to leave a “minimum” 😂 because he wanted to go food shopping for himself. Didn’t want to ask what he stocked up with 🙅🏻♀️😂
My food shopping was way different here vs back home. Fridge is smaller and people shop for 1-2 days but usually just for one day. I actually enjoyed the process of deciding what we wanted to eat that day and going to local farmers market and grocery store to shop for that one meal or two;
The restaurant scene in Belgrade is amazing 🙌🏻 (I am sure you guys saw a fare share in my stories 👀). We have been eating out quite a bit especially at night. The food is right in line with some of the best places in NYC! We were thrilled to say the least 🤩
We left the city yesterday and came to visit my husband’s family in Sarajevo. Today we are heading down to Montenegro for some fun in the sun ☀️🏊🏻♀️🏖🐳🐠
Happy Sunday guys! Xoxo SP
"2 week update!! I have been sleeping better than I have in years! I was a hairstylist for 17yrs. Standing in one place for 8-12 hrs a day killed my feet! Nothing worked, until now! My pain in my feet is completely gone! My tennis elbow pain has lessened tremendously! I feel so calm yet energized! I got a horrible burn from work and put the oil on it, healed up so quick! My whole family is sleeping amazing! My baby had the worst diaper rash(nothing helped) so my wife decided to try the oil! 1 drop, 2 applications and the next day it was completely healed! I call it a miracle in a bottle! This stuff is amazing!!!" 🌱 Fore more info or to order click link in bio or copy:

Caloric Considerations for GPP Week + A Return to Omnivorous Eating:
In a lot of ways I feel like I'm moving backwards and forwards at the same time over the last two weeks. I've taken time to slow down substantially from heavy training and along with it my go go go mindset. I feel very fresh and rejuvenated now and ready to rebuild another momentum.
I do enjoy taking a break from eating meat on an annual or sometimes biannual basis. Excess meat consumption makes an individual very, "yang" by Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts. Being very yang comes with a host of potential problems and worth a read if you're interested. Plant based foods are much more yin than animal based foods. I notice when eating an entirely plant based diet my personality shifts slightly. I feel a lot more girly for lack of a better term. I become "soft." haha...
Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts believe that the Yin fuels the Yang. Which means, too much yang for too long can lead to burnout and health stresses. Taking the time to restore the Yin can help to encourage an even stronger Yang aspect over time. This can be applied with both nutrition and lifestyle practices. Too much Yin for too long also has problems in case you are wondering.
I will be in a GPP phase for the next few weeks as I work on structural imbalances determined by Robert during my first training cycle. As this isn't really a fat loss orientated stage of the program, I'm a bit lost as to where to place my calories. I'm going to err on the side of caution and eat more rather than less. I really hate being hungry. Calories this week:
2462 Calories Per Day with 50g Fat, 325 Carbs and 175 Protein.
“Get it right, get it tight” - @jordinmckenzi 😉💪🏼 one of my favorites for working core. Start with anywhere from 2-5lbs (with less reps so your lower back doesn’t engage) and work your way up from there! ✨
eat seasonally AKA make crisps&crumbles out of summertime bounty
Blackberry Crisp 🥧
let the berries speak for themselves 🙌🏽
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup pecans
1/4 cup gf oats
3/4 cup almond flour
1 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp lakanto sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Few pinches sea salt
1/3 cup coconut oil (solid)
6 cups fresh wild blackberries
3 tsp arrowroot powder
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1/2 lime .
Pick 6 cups berries. Preheat oven to 375. Place all crisp ingredients in a food processor to roughly chop. Put the crisp mixture in a bowl and add the coconut oil. Mash with a fork until we’ll mixed and crumbled. In a separate bowl, combine all filling ingredients. Then, add filling to baking dish or cast iron skillet. Put crumble on top. Be generous with the crumble bc the berry juice will engulf! Bake 30-35 minutes. Enjoy with ice cream! (Coconut ice cream for my dairy free devotees 🙋🏽♀️)
When I was dealing with acne my body was full of inflammation. This was from years of eating things like conventional meat products, sugars, pasteurized dairy, refined carbs and low-quality oils. .
While my acne has a hormonal root, diet and environmental factors certainly play a role. When I cleaned up my diet, fuelled my system with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory foods and supplements, my skin calmed down substantially. .
It was the foundation for further healing. An inflamed, acidic body can definitely be a contributing factor to your acne. .
My go to anti inflammatory supplements are omega 3 fatty acids and curcumin.
Simple things can be taken for granted…I am reminded that earlier this year, I never could have taken a picture of my left thumb and posted it for all to see. It used to be covered in eczema and at any given time had a bandage or 2 on it covering the cracking and bleeding places. It was so painful. I seriously have a soft place in my heart for skin issues. Had terrible acne as a teenager and now still get little ones but I can tell my skin is healing. Diseases, even skin diseases are stemming from somewhere and I have learned to dig deeper to get to the root. For too many years I used prescription creams, scrubs, antibiotics, hydrocortisone, and specials lotions for my skin issues. We learn that if we have a headache to reach for the Tylenol or if we have acne to use a cream or antibiotic. I never once questioned the thought process. Now I question everything. And the more I question the more I learn. Ask and you shall receive. Today I am so thankful for my healing and that god continues to guide me on the daily. 🙌🏻
👆🏻This was was the result of a #snackattack I have been trying to incorporate more fermented foods into my life. This @gtskombucha #cocoyo yogurt is live coconut yogurt that has not been pasteurized. Therefore it is a living food teeming with healthy probiotics for your gut. Make sure you are buying RAW LIVING fermented products or make your own! Topped the yogurt with walnuts , almonds, goji berries, chia seeds, roasted coconut, frozen wild blueberries, vanilla bean, and raw honey.
