One of the coolest things about being part of a CSA from a local farm is trying new produce you don’t typically find in a grocery store. I had no idea what these were before a few short weeks ago! These are garlic scapes and they’re soooooo tasty!!
They’re kind of like scallions’ garlic cousin. We’ve chopped them up and cooked them with mushrooms and we’ve also grilled them with oil! Definitely loving having fresh, local, organic produce delivered each week. What is the coolest find you’ve gotten from a farmers market or local farm? #dailysmilebykristin#eatlocalgrown

In all honesty, I used to really struggle with staying positive. I have been through a lot over the past few years with my health but without realizing it, I was always focusing on how sick I was and not on getting better. A few months ago, I made a decision to change my outlook on life. I decided to live in gratitude and to look at the positives and focus on health and healing. Since making this decision, my health and overall happiness have come a long way 😊 not to say that I don’t have down days/times but for the most part it’s all #goodvibesonly from here on out for me ✌🏼#emotionalhealing#vibratehigher

A growing community of people has turned away from the over-prescribed pharmaceutical options to treat their stress disorders. Instead, they are finding an all-natural solution through cannabidiol (CBD). 🌱
Steve shares his experience: “So Love taking my CBD oil, The other day I was really stressed out and ticked off from an incident and I totally forgot about my CBD for a while and boy was I at a level 10 stressed and found myself trying to calm down on my own and was breathing telling my self to relax ect.. but I was still stressed and couldn't shake it until I took a few drops of CBD oil and found within minutes of taking it, I actually felt a calm sensation and helped big time in refocusing my thoughts to chill out and not let it get to me, I was eventually completely mellowed down. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Trying it during heated situation, noticed a big difference, it did justice for me. 😁 Just got my other bottles in the mail. Stay stocked, you never know when you gonna need it lol.” 🌱 .

I woke up this morning in a baking kind of mood. Not sure exactly why, but I made some @ottos_cassava_flour grain free tortillas and then decided to whip something up for the blueberries that were about to go bad.
Baking for me was my self care today. I’ve always loved baking and I’m pretty sure I enjoy it more than cooking, BUT ever since my PCOS diet transformation I haven’t been doing much baking. I discovered the main reason I avoided baking for this time was because I was limiting myself to believe that all the baked goods need to have 1 cup of maple syrup to make them taste good. And guess what - you really don’t!
So I’m on a mission to make some kickass tasty recipes where I feel confident that my body won’t go haywire afterwards. I’m still working on this recipe, but will definitely post it once it’s perfected!
Observing and acknowledging limiting beliefs of mine is new to me, but I have to admit it feels hella’ good and freeing. What are your Sunday self-care plans? #dailysmilebykristin#healthybaking

“I’ve started my journey on this amazing product after finally having enough of the pain and serious side effects I was having from the prescription drugs prescribed to me to help control the symptoms of my lung disease sarcoidosis which became active and started spreading causing arthritis, anxiety, heart palpitations, chest pains, brain fog and loss of vision! ) also I had tennis elbow in both arms from being a hairdresser which I was receiving injections for that barely helped the pain. I also have suffered from acid reflux for years after having my gallbladder removed .... I was in bad shape 😞
With in 24 hours of taking CBD I was almost pain free from the arthritis and tennis elbow, after one full day on it I felt a complete calming, and after a week my sight was better, my mind became clearer and no more heart palpitation while resting or anxiety!
Not to mention my skin cleared up and I’ve lost 6.6lbs. I sleep like a champ. I am now pill free!! However I still use inhalers but recently I did get good news from my specialist, my condition has stayed the same since last visit and the inflammation in my blood had decreased 50%. I am so thankful for this product! It has given me back my life! “❤️

Make the most of your weekends!
I’ve moved my errands, laundry, food prep, etc. to Monday instead of Sunday.
It can all wait one more day and we all know weekends aren’t long enough. Especially in the summer!
Also helps when I’ve got this amazing organic farm market just down the street from my work. 🙌🏼
Thank you greens for taking care of my stomach, skin and soul 💚 So happy I finally made up a green smoothie recipe which I can withstand, without stomach ache as a consequence. If you also have IBS or a sensitive stomach I can share this recipe with you 💚
When we talk of holistic health, one of the components is environment and within that environment there are lots of things that can contribute to ill health, but maybe none more than toxins. This is such a huge and frankly scary topic that I’ve been unsure how to pair it down into a digestible nugget of knowledge that might empower you to improve your health. So, we’ll start with one toxin for now.
But first, let me put toxin exposure into perspective. 14 years ago, in 2004 the umbilical cord blood of 10 babies born in the US was tested by two national laboratories and what they found was 287 chemicals. Of those 180-cause cancers in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 of them are known to cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests. Sadly, the exposure is only starting as the amount of chemical concentrations found in breast milk is equally alarming and this is when life is just beginning, and organs are not yet mature. Fast forward to your current age, and all toxins you’ve may have been exposed to and are currently exposed to daily. Because the European Chemicals agency estimates there are more than 144,000 man-made chemicals in existence and the US Department of Health estimates 2,000 new chemicals are being released every year and most have never been individually tested for human safety let alone synergistically evaluated. As a result, medical science is increasingly linking issues such as obesity, cancers, heart disease and brain disorders such as autism, ADHD and depression to the growing volume of toxic substances to which humans are exposed daily.
You don’t have to work in a factory that produces these chemicals to be exposed either, they’re in everyday products! Think shampoo, body wash, hand soaps, cleaning products, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, furniture, carpet, plastic food containers, fragranced candles, air fresheners, paint, perfume/cologne, Styrofoam, processed food, straws etc. These all contain chemicals that are carcinogenic, neurotoxic, and/or endocrine disrupting. Hazırda evyapımı granolam oldugu icin ben servis sırasında üzerine granolada ekledim.😊 #sagliklibesleniyorum#saglikliyasiyorum#goodfood#realfood#sagliklibeslen#sağlıklıbesleniyorum#iyibesleniyihisset#holistichealth#holisticlifestyle#holisticfood#hashimotos#hashimotosthyroids#hashimoto#haşimatolu#haşimato#thyroidhealth#otoimmün#glutenfree#glutensiz#unsuz#temizbeslen#cleaneat#eatclean#thyroidhealing#thyroiddisease#karataydiyeti#şekersizkabaktatlısı#rafinesekersiz#sekersiztatli #
What a learning and extremely nauseating experience I had eleven years ago! It happened in the summer when I blended a whole Annona Glabra (pond apple) fruit with ice to obtain a cold, delicious and exotic flavor juice . Approximately ten minutes after I drank it, I couldn’t stop vomiting and it dehydrated my body very quickly. I luckily recuperated in two days and went to investigate what I have done wrong. I found out that I was poisoned by the Annona seeds that I have not separated to prepare that juice. Annonas are one of the family plants that sit on the cusp of edible/non-edible. Its pulp is delicious, however do NOT eat the seeds. Also keep your fingers away from your eyes after handling the seeds. Wash your hands first. Yes, I have learned my lesson. ;) This picture is one of the various trees I have on my backyard. Why then am I still caring for them? Because I also discovered its healing properties. It is used in traditional medicine against several human ailments, including cancer. Successful tests for Leukemia by anticancer research from the department of pathology in Miami Children’s hospital treatment proved that the seed extract was more potent than leaf and pulp extract. I do honor Annona glabra seeds and respect its powerful function very much so! #Repost @viryogui with @get_repost
✨ COFFEE LOVERS!!
☕️☕️☕️☕️ 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼
