Day 14: You are what you are because you choose to be. You still struggle with weight because you choose to. You are not where you want to be because you choose to. It’s time to hold yourself accountable for your inadequacies. Then and only then can true change take place. It won’t be easy, especially in the beginning, but it’s better to attempt a change then to continue to make excuses. Anyone of you can be whatever it is you want to be, anyone of you can lose weight, anyone of you can be successful. There’s no such thing as a quick fix because even in that, you still have to have a mindset to maintain whatever it is your trying to accomplish. So stop making excuses get up, make a change, because envying another’s ability to come up will still leave you on the same level you have been, just another jealous person making excuses, never really producing any results. When you have the same ability as the other person to create the results you want. Don’t be that person! #motivationthursday#holdyourselfaccountable#dontbeahater#stopmakingexcuses#levelup#bemotivatedbyothers#beinspiredbyothers
Took me two days to gather up the courage to post this ‘before’ photo. A lot has happened over the past several months, I lost all motivation. // Time to change all that & get back on track. Doing the MiniBeast Summer Challenge to kick my ass into overhaul & get back to chasing my dreams. // 06.18.18 #holdyourselfaccountable
I’ve been in a major funk for the last few days - I’ve been busy, tired, sunburnt, burnt out, over school, and just out of it.
I didn’t work out Saturday, Sunday or Monday and I was feeling bad about it and down on myself. Not because I think I’m going to lose all of my progress or anything, but mainly because I run these groups where I preach about no excuses and getting it done, but here I am laying on my bed (and truthfully, not even checking in on my group because i felt ashamed to even show my face there).
So tonight after some nudging from my husband (thanks @derasmo90), I got a workout done. And then I logged into my group. And I remembered why each and every person in there is so amazing. My feed was FILLED with notifications of challengers crushing their workouts, sharing their healthy meals, and drinking their shakes. Then I checked in on last week’s challenge post to choose a winner and I was blown away by how many people shared their journeys on social media last week to enter the challenge. I’m so proud to be a part of this group and so grateful for those who have chosen to join it and continue to inspire one another daily 😍
KIND REMINDER: Let Food Be Thy Medicine | Over the past week, I’ve met and worked with people that have self-medicated with McDonalds, cronuts, Advil, alcohol, lactaid, etc. In a world of food that is supposedly doing things the right way— people are still not making the correlation. EVERY THING you put in has a direct affect on your mood, behavior, feeling, vitality, energy, + IMMUNITY. TUNE IN, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. LET. FOOD. BE. THY. MEDICINE 🙌🏻✨| ALSO I’m currently doing a 90 day alcohol—free challenge (2 weeks in) if anyone wants to JOIN ME, because Lord knows I LOVE a good challenge + any external accountability helps! It is important to check in with yourself constantly to see where you can improve, where you have grown dependent, where you can find more clarity, and what you lean on: healthy+ unhealthy behaviors— like drinking alcohol—for purposes of PSEUDO regeneration (There is no substitute for REST) 🙌🏻🙏🏼 | #loveyourself#plantbasedlife#healyourself#lovemore#plantbasedchef#plantbasedlife#letfoodbethymedicine#feelyourself#feelgoodfood#dailyinspo#farmtotable#beautyinsideout#beautyfood#higherself#selfawareness#holdyourselfaccountable
ASK // When I was growing up, much of my education was about accepting what you were being taught and not to question or ask if it makes any practical sense.
As I evolved into the person I am today, asking and questioning everything that I see, hear or read is an integral part of both my personal and business life. This is the only way I can ever learn or seek help. Many people don’t ask questions or for help either out of fear and insecurity or they believe they already have all the answers they need. Let me reinforce this - asking is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of your integrity because you want to live and speak the truth. It is a sign of your commitment towards leading a sustainable business life with practical solutions. Never be afraid to ask what you don’t know or question whatever you are being told. Have an awesome week everyone! 💁🏻♀️💗🌿
Tonight as you prepare to get your beauty sleep, have you thought about the desires of your heart? Did you set time aside tonight to visualize you actually living your dreams whether it be that multi billion dollar business impacting the world, taking your family on exotic vacation or (let's be real right now) finally meeting that man that only God has showed you in your dreams. Whatever your dream may be don't just keep it inside your mind when you wake up in the morning. Put pen to paper and drop a few lines in your journal then you know what I always say...GET TO WERK!
Don't talk about it be about it. Did you not see how Beyonce and Jay-Z just dropped that damn album in the middle of their London show. You never hear homegirl getting you ready for what she's about to release, she works feverishly behind the scenes then she drop pure artistry on us! Every damn time this girl does this it makes me re-evaluate how I'm doing business and if I'm present enough mentally while building this empire. I say all of that to say this. Get off of social media (after you read this post of course...lol) for a bit, pray about it, ask God to reveal something while he breathes on you as you slumber and when you wake up it's your responsibility to take action.
The days of "maybe tomorrow, maybe next year" are gone. So what if your first strategy didn't work...keep working at it and eventually you will find your sweet spot. Dream BIG girl bc we have a BIGGGGGG GOD!
