Lunch for today, one of these Japchae bento 😋😋 feeling blessed ❤️❤️. Probably not going to yoga studio tonight cause I need to run some errands. Last night HOT26 was kinda special. Usually, Monday night HOT26 is probably the toughest class of the whole week cause I used to push hard on Sunday with a three-hour practice so I was always fatigue on Monday. Also I’m usually busy on Monday and whole day in stress so I perceive that hot yoga a lot tougher in my brain than it actually is. Last Saturday, my Saturday HOT26 master couldn’t make it to the class so it was led by my Monday HOT26 master. In the beginning I thought it was a disaster cause Saturday HOT26 always feels easier than Monday’s and I started to think it’s due to different master’s teaching. But it turns out, it was only me, my perceptions and my projected effort required to be put into that practice based on my feelings which r not facts. The class was just as easy as it always was, so it sort of broke the curse on my Monday HOT26 and now I know it’s just the same as Saturday HOT26. Yesterday was not intense work wise, plus I only did two-hour yoga last Sunday, so my body conditions were quite nice when I stepped in that studio last night. And this time I didn’t have too much psychological struggle in the whole course which usually contributed to even more stress to me on my Monday. I ended up finishing it easy breezy, and I realized this is how I should have done it cause yoga is supposed to help me relax and release the stress in me not the contrary. Stressing over not being able to nail some difficult poses should never be part of the process. I’m returning to my old neighborhood tonight to pick up sth then visiting my old favorite grocery store that has all the awesome stuff I need. Have a beautiful day with this beautiful and slightly hot weather 😂❤️.

My whole body is so sore after the intensive backbend workshop on Saturday. It was so fun but backbend is really my weakness😣
Listen to your body, gives it some rest when needed is also a way of practice.❤️🙏🏻
Day 6 of #YogaMakesMeFeel - Fearless
My shoulders are not strong enough for pincha, sometimes I still got nervous when I was doing inversion; my middle split is obviously worse than front split; my upper back is tighter than my lower back. Then, I did this, hollow back inversion with middle split against the mirror.
I didn't expect I can do it well, so I didn't have any pressure, just follow my body's lead to do my best, and it's a practice, not a performance, we don't need to be scare on trying anything in yoga practice.
Yoga makes me believe that, once I become fearless, my body become limitless, we never know how incredible we can be.
*If your shoulders are not ready to support your body, you can try to do it with your chest and arms on floor, like extended puppy pose, then your middle split can open more, cause your feet are not being a supporting point anymore.

Slow and steady practice builds strength. I learned how to drop back and come up years ago from Master @yogananthandiappan. ⚪️
As Master @kamalkamalm shared in this morning’s Yoga Balance class, strength must be given attention before flexibility. To me, that makes so much sense. Yes - I have the flexibility, but to actually come up from wheel pose needs the strength of the quadriceps and gluteus muscles, and I got that part down with practice.
I took today off and I am so happy to be able to join Master Kamal’s class at 9 AM. I love how it’s not crowded at this time 💯 ⚪️
Did a bit of self-practice after class and here’s a small part of it. 🤸🏻♀️

Arm balancing pose
I start practicing this pose since my teacher training course start. .
At the beginning, I try this pose very hard, keep trying and trying.
The result is, I cannot manage to do this pose because my arms are not strong enough to hold my whole body weight.
End up with wrist injury need to see physiotherapy. All arm balancing, plank pose need to stop🚫
The pose still not doing good enough but improve a lot after strengthen my core and arms.
Don’t be hurry to do challenging pose, or you may get injury. .
Don’t push or force yourself in Yoga world.
I had two of these on Saturday morning, super enjoyed but actually not a good idea cause my stomach is irregular these days and easily irritable so I should probably avoid gluten (and oil). I’m sure it’s due to stress cause my schedule is getting too intense lately. Already made decision to slow down on Friday, also need to rest my right shoulder, so I treated my body with lots of fruits and simple home cooking this weekend, training my stomach to digest food properly. Only one mistake last night I had frozen wontons and they probably contain “vegan butter” which is made with palm oil, so I was bloated again. Today is really clean eating, only salad and fruits, lots of coconut water lots of key lime water with pink salt, and I think I finally found my balance back. Also only two chilling yoga classes today, except the dolphin pose which was a major sweat all the others r just stretching. Check out my story for my first home made fried spicy bean paste with sesame, minced ginger, chopped shiitake mushroom, green onion, spicy bean paste and peanut butter 😉😉. Didn’t have it tonight cause once again it contains oil, but soon I’ll be mixing it with some noodles and make some easy yummy quick dinner next week, stay tuned ❤️❤️ and bless up ❤️❤️.
Although I still have a couple bentos in the fridge but Saturday afternoon meal prep is becoming my routine I feel the day is not right without it 😂😂. Two japchae bentos all ready for next week. Whenever I get to combine all sorts of veggies in my cooking I’m happy 😊😊 (especially stir fry cause that crunch is to die for 😋😋). I don’t mind the tedious cleaning and cutting cause I know the final product is gonna be a feast for both the eye and the palate❤️❤️. The spinach and shiitake are from wet market cause it’s super weird that they r not staple at grocery stores here in HK, even large ones. Shiitake maybe sometimes if u r lucky they have small packages of little ones, totally incomparable with these huge ones I got. Never saw spinach. The locals here usually eat Chou Sum and a lot others but in the same Bok Choy/cabbage lineage. I used to like Gai Lan’s mild bitterness and crunch but last weekend I got a bag home and discovered I’ve lost the interest (also kinda forgot how to cook it 😅😅 usually it’s done with strong soy sauce or oyster sauce for dipping or xo sauce 👈🏻 not vegan). Had two large avocado toasts in the morning with a large bowl of almond milk decaf latte and then did two yoga classes. Also btw I managed to stay dry in a crazy weather today one minute it’s cool next minute it’s pouring and u hear people screaming 😂😂✌🏻✌🏻 bless up!
