Hip Rotation. Remember this is a drill to feel a certain part of the swing. To stay balanced and to move your hips and hands at the right time during the swing. There is no negative move during this drill because you are stopping and just rotating your hips feeling the balance stay over the plate and through your toes.

This allows your arm to catch up, and for your to stay loaded and powerful. Video on left was from a session with @a_wil_ on Thursday testing out @rapsodo_sports, which was awesome. My swing was not awesome. Had to take a few minutes tonight to take some of my own medicine & make some adjustments. A lot to work on but pleased with shoulder plane. Also had to get that front hip open earlier to firm up front side and cut down on roll-over.
Wednesday's Hall of Famer study looked at Jim Thome. One of my favorite #HittingWOD days so far, we worked on getting behind the ball (on plane) & looking for a pitch. Finished with competition where guys had sets of 5 & had to hit balls at 90% of their max exit velo.
#HittingWOD Hall of Fame week closed out with another legend, @11EdgarMartinez. It's only a matter of time until he's in. We studied his 2 epic hits v. the Yanks: 1) hit the ball where it's pitched, 2) great shoulder tilt, 3) still head, 4) keep chest where you're hitting ball.
