This weekend I was fortunate enough to get technical coaching from Johnny Puakea @puakeadesigns
Now it’s time to action on the feedback. Thanks again for sharing the knowledge and I’ll see you at the Gorge
@dannyching404 is heading the @gorgedownwindchamps later this month. Which #hippostick outrigger paddle will he use? TAHITIAN OR OC? Find out later this week

Ah, the joys of a new sport. It seems like every time I take the OC1 out on a course I track my best times for, I get a new PR! Tonight’s conditions on the river were near perfect for a good run. It stormed pretty hard but we waited out the worst of it until the lightning was far enough away. It drizzled on us the whole time which is nice and keeps you cool, plus the temperature had dropped to an unusually nice 73 degrees. Add to that the high water levels from all the rain and a new PR was bound to happen! James (seen in pic 3 chasing me down after giving me a 2 minute head start) set a new course record on his surf ski too 👌. @cgtkayaks
This morning’s “No Name Race” around Lovers Key was a fun battle between me, an OC2, and a couple of surf skis all trading positions throughout the race. Happy to have come out on top of that group, thanks in part to having an edge with local knowledge of the waterways. And 4th overall behind a few faster surf skis. Thanks to @mathanacio and @ahappyhayes for showing a fun race is all about the people and the venue. No money needed! 📷: Jen Hayes
#oldguysrule 💪 76 and going strong - Jim Sandusky at the SUP4MS on Saturday. 4 or 5 years ago he picked up a board now he's getting out a few times a week.
Check the sup4ms recap - link is in the bio. Thanks for all your support!
