1999, Ardnamurchan, Scottish Highlands. I was in love with Scotland at age 8. I’ve been in love with nature since I can remember.
Now I’m in love with a Scottish guy who loves nature, exploring hills and running in forests.
They say as you get older you get younger too, and I’ll forever be that little girl wearing a fleece and wellies, with a head full of adventure and a body that won’t stop moving.
My last run for week 5 of @no_whey_rosie’s plan was muddy, uphill, downhill, wet, grassy, rocky and so much fun thanks to @jamietrailrunner who’s been taking me to a different hill every weekend. I like trail running a lot. I think that little girl in this old photo would have loved it too.
After all this dry weather it’s hard to believe that this bit of path gets very boggy and up to 20m wide. So we’ve formalised it with a tray and surface to help people stay or track and prevent the land either side getting damaged. Stone was donated by the quarry and shovelled by volunteers.
