Alright... here we go, stepping onto my soapbox for my first rant on insta.... I went to find the Troll on this gorgeous Saturday morning. I had heard it was getting more popular, but I had no idea it was THIS popular.
I seriously felt like we were waiting in line at an amusement park, so many people just standing in a line to take a picture with this work of art. Now, I don't blame them there, I wanted to do the same thing.
I was completely appalled at the disrespect being shown towards this really cool, weird, interesting, creative, beautiful piece of art. Adults were standing on it, hanging from the arm.... and the kids were shoving sticks up it's nose, while standing and jumping up and down on its legs🤦♀️😡 The Troll is only predicted to last 2 years, if left alone. I doubt it makes it through the winter.
AND the police were called in by the private neighborhood across the creek from it because people were traipsing through yards and being obnoxious while trying to cut through to the main road.
I had a hard time keeping it together and my faith in humanity dropped a little today. Very sad. Decency is no longer a common thing.
Side note, while I'm on the rant: stop setting your friggin dog poop bags down on the side of the trail to "grab on your way back." We all know you aren't picking it up on the way back. Stop being lazy and carry the bag! OR do what I do and tie it to your dog's leash, make them carry it.
Stepping off my soapbox now, thank you all for listening.
Happy mountain post soon to follow.
Never fails, someone has to make a comment about "isn't she a little big for that" 🙄💁 Her breaks up in the carrier are usually short and tend to coincide with a snack since she walks as slow as molasses if she's eating. She is super tall but only 3.5, I will happily wear her and snuggle her for a while longer 😍 #emclbabywearing#emclrockymnps#emclcolorado#emclnationalparks
