Flash back #5
Small town surrounded by multiple free day and overnight hiking tracks.
We tackled a few of them. This was the start of our hiking adventures. I struggled big time 😂
One day we had the best weather.. the other day was absolutely freezing!
We packed our soups, plenty of water and headed off..thankfully Kyle carried the backpack! I feel mount fitzroy was the hardest hike we did in all of South America. That last hour was a killer. Or maybe we just weren't used to hiking.
The actual town itself is tiny. No fresh fruit or veggies either. They only get a supply once a week and it goes super quickly as there isnt much around.
Gunung Yong Belar.
Syukur Ya Allah
The path to South Peak (and a feet in the photo shot to prove I made it to the top 😆). I like to take Three Gun Spring to Embudito, rather than hiking Embudito the entire way. It’s still about the same length round trip (about 11.5 miles), but this way you can avoid the driest, least-appealing portion of Embudito. #newmexico#sandiamountains#newmexicotrue#hiking#hikenewmexico
After being in the Hurricane, I was really afraid of water. My first days in Colorado were rainy and I was afraid to go outside. Slowly but surely, I got more comfortable with getting my fur wet, then my feet, and now I go all the way up to my chest! It took a lot of practice with stepping through shallow streams and playing at the Cherry Creek dog park to feel confident getting in the water. As of last weekend, I can now fetch sticks in the water (and watch the geese)! 😁🐶
