Day 2. We got some good rest last night, it was very calm with hardly any wind, comfortable temp of 63• Our morning started at 6:30 with a cup of coffee and we were back on the trails by 7:30am. Our hike to Throop Peak was at least 12mi round trip. I drank all of our water from both bladders and we still had 6.5mi to descend but lucky for us there was a spring just off the trail and we were able to fill our canister with ice cold mountain spring water. This was true roughin it, we were sweaty, sticky, smelly, ridden with mosquito bites, thirsty and hungry. And I’ve mastered the art of squatting lol. Can’t wait to do it again! #wanderlust

i’m really lucky. being in utah has been a wild ride, but i’ve had the support of friends, mentors, family, and my amazing boyfriend. it hasn’t always been fun or easy, but this summer has been one of the most transformative of my life, and for that i’m so grateful.
