Every one knows I love great food, and as a single person who lives alone, I find myself dining out quite often. I thought that changing my diet to a high protein/low carb diet was going to be impossible, especially when it came to restaurants. But then @greenmillrestaurants came out with their delicious Eating Fit menu, and all is right in the world. One of my favorites is this beauty, their Tequila Lime Shrimp Salad, but with added chicken for a kick of extra protein. Clocking on at about 400 calories, it is so guilt free! Definitely my new go-to!

👉So, the bro-split is not necessarily a bad thing. I used to do it myself. It just isn’t the most effective way to gain muscle, especially if you are a natural. People on steroids and enhancers can get away with the bro-split and still get crazy results.

👉The most effective way to train for muscle growth is to hit each muscle group at least twice per week.
.
👉The example above is for a 6-day split. You do not have to workout 6 days per week. This is just an example for someone who likes to train a lot. Me! 🙋‍♂️

👉Your muscles usually are repaired and recovered after about 36 hours. That means they are ready to be hit again.
.
👉Think about it this way. If you did one workout for each muscle group once per week, that muscle gets hit about 52 times per year. Now, let’s say you workout each muscle twice per week or even more, that’s 104 times or even more per year each muscle is being stimulated. Which way do you think results in more growth? 😎
.
👉As far as abs/Core training, studies have shown that about 3-4 times per week is optimal. Don’t neglect abs/Core training (I’m guilty of this in the past). Pick an exercise or 2 and hit them multiple times per week. Make sure to get all the muscle groups in the abdominals and not just the rectus abdominus (your 6-pack).

Poached eggs, asparagus and black coffee for breakfast, then Cajun turkey and green beans for lunch. Drinking lots of water and green tea. My happiness comes in the form of my flavoured protein - flavour of choice, always good old vanilla!!!

You may have noticed I have a lot of gluten free recipes. This is not a diet I've adopted just because, I honestly can't digest wheat. So when I'm out and about, unless it's an amazing restaurant 💸💸💸, I'm usually stuck with just 1, maybe 2 dishes on the menu to choose from.

Now I wouldn't mind if these were lovely. I eat pretty much anything so I'm easy to cater for. But I'm disappointed again and again to find absolutely mediocre food everywhere I go. I'm not saying all restaurants and cafes are rubbish, trust me I LOVE dining out and I have a few gems I always go back to, but a lot of them are happy to charge you a small fortune for pretty uninspiring food. And (read with an American accent) 'that shit ain't right'. So I'm absolutely delighted to be back at home where I can have a quality lunch for just a few quid, and feel 100% satisfied. Not the tastiest or most exciting thing in the world but does the job and works well for me! 😋

I try to get most my nutrition (esp. Carbs) from wholefoods but if I've another session the same day or short on time this is an easier refuel for digestion and recovery. I played around with a few shakes but this seems to do the trick so I'll stick with it for now! 😎👌👌 *sometimes I add in a tsp of maca (and/or banana/date if I want to bump up the calories more)

• 1/2 banana.
• 1/2 cup de leche vegetal.

I didn’t buy diapers, laundry detergent, toothpaste, razors...etc. for years after couponing. I’m still using the razors & some other stuff. I haven’t couponed like that for years, now I just play the clearance game. It’s fun for me to see how cheap I can make a good tasting healthy meal. ☺️😊❤️ Especially low carb high protein diets, it can get expensive. Saving money on meat is great, & easy to do.  I buy most of my clearance meat @walmart .

Bei mir ist heute irgendwie der Wurm drin 🙈 ich hab mir heute Morgen einen leckeren Quark-Grieß-Auflauf gemacht und lieg seitdem im Bett und schlafe... mir tut alles weh, ich fühl mich beim aufwachen jedes mal als hätten mich mindestens 10 LKW überfahren und ich bin einfach nur fix und fertig 😅 Was das ist? Keine Ahnung 🙈🙈 ich hab das manchmal, ein bisschen ist es Muskelkater, ein bisschen ist es Erschöpfung, der Rest ist mir leider unklar... Vielleicht hat ja jemand eine Idee 😅 meine Blutwerte sind immer rundum super und ich hab trotzdem leichte Rheumaschübe und z.B. Blaseninfektionen. Aber die Entzündungswerte sind nicht erhöht. Ich glaub, mein Körper spinnt 😂😂😂
Hab gestern bei der Blutabnahme von der Rheumatologin nochmal gesagt, dass sie neben großem Blutbild inklusive Leber- und Nierenwerte auch noch Eisen, Vitamin D und Folsäure checken sollen und werd mir die Ergebnisse am Montag per Mail schicken lassen - ich bin gespannt 😅 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Proper preparation prevents piss poor protein portions" 😂😂😂 This is one of favourite low cal lunches (although today I ate the whole thing as I skipped breakfast). It's super easy to prepare, really tasty and delicious either hot or cold, so great to take to work or on a picnic.  I sometimes swap out the tuna for cooked chicken and add a little pesto which is also yummy.  I'm not sure what to call it...a frittata, omelette, or crustless quiche.  Think I'll go with Tuna Frittata.  The whole thing has 480kcal, 5g carbs, 19g fat and a punchy 72g of protein, but I'd suggest having it over 2 meals with a nice green salad. *50g mushrooms
*Couple of spring onions 
Fry the onions, toms, mushrooms in fry light for a few minutes.  Mix the egg white, eggs, tuna and grated cheese then add to the veg.  Cook on the hob for 5 mins and the pop under the grill until golden brown. -

"Proper preparation prevents piss poor protein portions" 😂😂😂 This is one of favourite low cal lunches (although today I ate the whole thing as I skipped breakfast). It's super easy to prepare, really tasty and delicious either hot or cold, so great to take to work or on a picnic. I sometimes swap out the tuna for cooked chicken and add a little pesto which is also yummy. I'm not sure what to call it...a frittata, omelette, or crustless quiche. Think I'll go with Tuna Frittata. The whole thing has 480kcal, 5g carbs, 19g fat and a punchy 72g of protein, but I'd suggest having it over 2 meals with a nice green salad. First, like every body part, higher frequency will likely yield better results. My legs blew up when I started training them heavy on one day during the week and lighter later in the week. Anyone who I’ve recommended this approach to has had very similar results. Legs seem to really respond to varying rep ranges throughout the week.

Second, do your squats and leg presses with full range of motion. It’s very easy to focus on adding weight each week while your range of motion keeps getting shorter and shorter. Before you know it, you’re doing half reps and really short changing yourself.

Lastly, let’s face it. Training legs is hard. Most people don’t enjoy it and a lot of people just “go through the motions” with some leg extensions, leg curls, leg presses and call it a day. A lot of people who do actually squat barely push themselves and just seem to do it to say they did it.
