Photographing animals is a waiting game. It’s a bit like a dance, you watch, adjust and react to your partner, even if these particular partners are quite distant. The waiting game is one of the reasons why I love shooting in nature. Shooting models is intense, but I find little peace in it. For me, landscapes and wildlife photography has an almost meditative quality to it. It’s more like painting with slow strokes than snapping shots.
