Did some digging and found out the real root and purpose of the yellow “shipping” guards on the spoiler lips of all these Challengers. I now understand why these ugly markers are still on some cars. There was some fear from legal about people driving 707hp cars for the first time. Heck, they didn’t want the Hellcat to turn into a more powerful C&C killing machine like the Mustang. So they put these bright yellow “guards” on the front to warn all other drivers and/or show crowds that “hey, this person is driving a powerful car for the first time, keep your head on a swivel.” Kind of like the “Caution: Student Driver” signs all over driver’s training cars. To be careful, they also put them on other select SRT performance variations. Once the driver is confident they know how to drive, they can return to their dealer, do a quick test drive to prove they are competent, and then have the ugly warning system removed by the service department. Honestly, I don’t trust dealers, I’d just pop them off in my garage if I were you. I won’t tell on you.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. This very special wide body car was brought in to us right from the dealer to be protected right from the gate. We performed a multi step correction process to remove all defects from the dealer and manufacturer. The car was then coated with @ceramicprousa 5 year coating. Finally, we removed all four wheels to protect not only the inner wheel, but the calipers as well. #areyouprotected
