This year the National Wear Red Day will be observed tomorrow, February 2nd. However, we want to celebrate Women’s Heart Health all month. Heart Disease is the leading cause of death for women in the US, and according to the American Heart Association, up to 80% of these deaths may be prevented.
#Delicious chickpea Salmon patty which is gluten-free #vegetarian#grain -free and vegan if you leave out the salmon! #Great for diabetics and loaded with omega-3‘s if you keep the salmon. These are a win-win high in fiber, wild salmon Hi in omega-3’s, low in fat because they are baked. Just add the psyllium husk to thicken the mixture so they can be made into patties. Bake at 3:50 for at least one hour if not longer and flip once during cooking.
Today we had an echo at Primary’s and it came back clear! ❤️The doctor said Kawasaki’s kids can have a greater risk of heart disease even without the presence of aneurysms, so it’s important Peyton live a heart-healthy lifestyle. (Cue Dave’s whining about eating less red meat! 😪) So we started by trying a new, healthy place for lunch instead of our usuals. #MadGreens was SOOO yummy! Why haven’t I tried it before?! They make kid meals in these cute boxes and even the soda is healthy with no high fructose corn syrup.
