Last night I was laying in bed, and my house was so silent. I started to focus on hearing and feeling my heartbeat. Slow and steady. And I started visualizing my heart pumping my blood through my body. And I just became increasingly thankful that I have focused so much more on my heart health. ♥️

My resting heart rate has gone done about 10 beats per minute this year. And that honestly means more to me than weight loss, or my muscle definition. Being healthy and cutting my body a break is what it’s all about for me. 😊

That doesn't mean that I thought it was going to be as easy as it turned out to be. I had a hard time just unwinding and relaxing into the idea that I just had to worry about myself. I usually put my husband first and whoever else would need me. But I did it! And I can confidently say, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I've started walking to work a few days a week instead of driving or catching the bus! This will be beneficial both for my health (yay for incidental exercise) and the budget a little bit too (bus is $1.76 each way and parking about $6 per day plus petrol/wear and tear). I've tracked my walk twice and was a bit surprised by the difference... The first time I did forget to start the tracker until a little while down the street but it was more like 300m down the street not 1.2km 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ And somehow I got a lot faster too 😂 I think the GPS might have been messed up, I'll track again next time and see what I get! .

*TEA REVIEW* Lapsang Souchong from @royalteasa 👌

This is the first time I have tasted this tea. I have a lot of Chinese teas and I am surprised I have never tasted this varietal.

It is a black tea, smooth full flavour, yet still light and smokey.

The smokiness is from burning apple wood which help the leaves dry and wither to make this magnificent tea.

Traditionally this tea is made burning pine wood and not apple wood which makes this tea from @royalteasa super special and rare!

Lapsang is the area where the tea was first created, in the Fujian province.

Other teas use the first two leaves and buds. This tea uses the fourth and fifth leaves which a larger and older, and therefore named Souchong.

Benefits of this tea:
- High Caffeine content, so therefore a great coffee alternative
- May aid weight loss as most black teas do
- May assist with reducing high blood pressure and high LDL cholesterol levels, so therefore improved heart ♥ health
- High in antioxidants and may reduce cancer and infection risks

OMG!  I am back! I was on the major struggle bus.  Cardio kicks my patootie like no other, how about any of you?  Hot Damn, but honestly it feels so good.  This workout and all the rest for my life are dedicated to those who want but can’t for one reason or another.  It hurts when you can’t workout and when you can. Comiste bien toda la semana,  pero llega el fin de semana y no puedes evitar comer alimentos fuera de tu dieta?. Es frecuente, que tras dos días seguidos de excesos o sobrecargas en la alimentación se produzca una subida rápida en el peso corporal. 
Hemos dicho muchas veces que aumentar peso y bajarlo consiste en aumentar o disminuir la cantidad de grasa corporal. Pero ésta no es el único componente del peso,  también lo conforman el peso de huesos,  vísceras,  agua corporal, contenido intestinal, grasa, músculos, sangre, etc. 
El nivel de agua corporal es el que más fácilmente se altera, seguido de contenido intestinal, músculo y grasa.

Los excesos alimentarios: grasas, azúcares, sal y alcohol. Suelen acompañarse de un aumento rápido del nivel de agua corporal, y por tanto producen un aumento en el peso.  Es lo que comúnmente muchos asocian a “retención de líquidos”. No hay ninguna retención extraña. Simplemente el organismo trata de diluir determinadas sustancias mientras son eliminadas. En cualquier caso no representa más de kilo o kilo y medio momentáneo.

Cierto es que esos excesos en la alimentación también se acompañan de exceso energético, que de no ser quemados o metabolizados,  se acumularan como grasa. Pero por cada 3500 calorías de exceso se producen un incremento en 500 grs de tejido graso. Es decir, que generalmente solo entre un 15 y 30 % de ese aumento de peso rápido será real. El otro es ficticio. Para comprobarlo solo basta con volver a la normalidad 3-4 días y generalmente ese exceso extra desaparece.

Entonces no hay de qué preocuparse,  siempre y cuando lo compenses de lunes a viernes, una dosis de ejercicio y buena alimentación.

In most cases of a PPCM patient, she is told to not have anymore children. 
Having that choice taken from a PPCM survivor can be quite devastating. This then leads to some PPCM patients, to look for surrogates they can trust to carry a healthy baby for their family. 
Since PPCM is not well known, most physicians have no clue that a surrogate carrying a PPCM survivors egg, can cause PPCM (heart failure) in the surrogate mother as well. This causes damage to her heart and she may never be able to have children of her own after experiencing PPCM.

Women who desire to become a surrogate should have a required BNP blood test and echocardiogram done before and after delivery to rule out her chances of developing PPCM even if shes not carrying a PPCM survivors egg. 
Doctors are not aware of who may develop Peri Partum Cardiomyopathy, but a cause is slowly being researched on why it happens. 
Whether your a surrogate mother or a new mommy to be, please be AWARE of PPCM!
