Kale sure isn't my number 1 but that's perfectly fine. Food trends are interesting but hardly definitive proof of how to eat.
In fact for most species, eating is intuitive and mindless. Giraffes wouldn't eat a chicken, frogs wouldn't eat a tomato, and brown bears wouldn't turn down a meal of salmon and berries. Humans are the sickest species on earth by such a large margin it's hard to measure.
The issue with us is that we've outsourced our eating intuition to "experts", culture, and advertising. We are bombarded with so much propaganda that we have lost our way to knowing what is in our best interest. . .
We are at a point in history where we need to rethink WHY we are eating what we eat or we may become extinct. The issues we claim to be genetic perhaps are, in rare cases. But even if we have say, hypertension, in our genes, that disease is highly unlikely to manifest unless we eat in a way that triggers it. Just like someone with alcoholism in their family doesn't automatically become an alcoholic.
We are extremely adaptable, yes. But hospitals are not full of people who eat what they farm, fish, and hunt, or vegans, or fruitarians... Hospitals are full of people eating what TV, mainstream thought, and the establishment says is normal to eat.
Being open-minded to the possibility that the way we've been taught to eat is deeply flawed is a great first step to reclaim intuitive eating, and ultimately, health. .
Easy HOMEMADE COTTAGE CHEESE RECIPE:-.
Milk- around 20oz (.5 liter).
Yogurt- 4 tablespoon.
With the above quantity you will get around 100g of cottage cheese.
1) Put the milk in a pan a heat it until it comes to boil.
2) As soon as the first boil come, lower the heat and add the yogurt and keep stirring it.
3) within a minute you will see that the milk starts to curdle, at that point turn off the heat.
4) Take a pot, and above that keep a muslin cloth( or any thin cloth which can drain the water easily and keep the cheese part) and drain the water, the solid part which is left is your cottage cheese.
5) Now twist the cloth and press it with any heavy item for 5 mins so that all the remaining water is drained out.
Here your homemade healthy cottage cheese is ready within minutes.
Cottage cheese has lots of benefits like:. - it’s very rich in proteins.
- Strengthen bones and teeth.
- Maintains blood sugar level.
- Good for heart.
- Aids digestion.
- Rich source of Folate.
- Boosts weight loss.
It can be introduced to 8-9 months baby ( ask your doc before introducing any new food to babies).
You can mix it with any veggie and add it to your meal, mix it with salad 🥗 or can even have it raw.

Tonights Dinner I tried one of my favs with a new #hearthealthy twist! Was so #delicious if I may say so myself!!! 😆 AND was much lighter , don't feel that full feeling at all!
So, I made #spaghetti but this time was more mindful of added ingredients, used ground turkey in the sauce (not beef), AND most importantly, instead of pasta, I used spiraled carrots and zucchini. Wow #yum !!! Y'all should try the spiraled vegetables instead of pasta if you have not already. It's actually surprisingly tasty! I know mom would have LOVED this!!

Sharing our meal plan for the week ahead! This is where I usually plan our meals, in the notes section on my phone📱. From there I make a list of what we need for the week on the same document, I always have my phone with me when I head to the store so this prevents me from leaving the list on the counter at home, which is usually (always) what happens when I make the list on paper. Making a list helps you stick to a budget and also helps plan for different ways to use items to prevent food waste!Anyone else have their meals planned for the week yet? Ok ok ok!!! After working at an Italian restaurant at the beginning of the summer and only hearing good things about the eggplant parm, I wanted to make sure I could share a healthy recipe from the holistic health and nutrition program I've recently joined called The Healthstyle Emporium 🍝❤️ Here is the recipe:
2-3 medium eggplants
250g Napoletana sauce (organic, sugar-free if possible)
1 cup ricotta cheese (or use lentils as a vegan option)
1 bunch basil leaves
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp chilli
1. Preheat oven to 180° Celsius.
2. Slice eggplant into medium-thickness circular shapes.
3. Add half the eggplant slices to a baking dish then spoon over half the Napolitana sauce, ricotta and basil. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil and sprinkle sea salt.
4. Repeat the above process with the remaining eggplant, sauce, ricotta and basil so that you have 2 layers.
5. Bake in oven for 45 minutes – 1 hour. Allow to cool slightly before serving
