Cuando empezas un estilo de vida saludable (que no es una dieta!!) poco a poco te vas liberando ideas y conceptos erróneos sobre los alimentos que “engordan”.

Creo que los #carbohidratos es el macronutriente con más mala fama. Las famosas y temidas “harinas”. Pero te has informado cuáles son buenas y cuales malas? Claramente un criollo o una factura no ayuda a nuestra dieta: las harinas blancas (carbohidratos simples) combinadas con grasas dañinas si son las que tenés que evitar! Pero los granos integrales: arroz integral, pasta integral, trigo sarraceno, burgol, quinoa pueden ayudar a tu dieta: tienen gran poder saciante y al aportar fibra no aumentan los niveles de azúcar en sangre tan rápidamente como los carbohidratos simples. Te dan energía y te hacen feliz! -

Entonces me puedo comer una pasta sin culpa? Absolutamente SI! Te paso algunos tips que te pueden servir:

👉🏻busca pasta integral (lee bien las etiquetas, que sea realmente integral) simple, no rellena: spaghetti, penne, fusilli (que son los fideos tirabuzón)
👉🏻si son intolerante al gluten, busca pasta para celiacos..casi ni se siente la diferencia!
👉🏻si queres tener un poco más de control sobre la porción pesa la pasta en crudo: no comas más de 70-80 gramos. Parece poco pero si agregas verduras sale un plato más que abundante. 👉🏻acompáñala con verduras en vez de bolognesa o crema
👉🏻cuando esté ya lista, condimenta con especias y un chorrito de aceite de oliva crudo al final
👉🏻evita el queso rallado

Good morning 🍵 did you know that sometimes you can actually do yourself a favour and replace your cup of coffee with a cup of brewed matcha? Matcha has nearly the same amount of caffeine per cup (around 34 mg) but apparently the kick you get from matcha should last longer and more evenly! This is due to amino acid L-Theanine which evens out caffein distribution and also provides calming and relaxing effect. Additionally to this matcha is the ultimate source of antioxidants and boosts metabolism which helps burn fat! Try it out and see for yourself! Buen sábado para todos!! Para empezar este sábado les comparto mi Jugo Verde/Nutrijugo que es como un multivitaminico, recuerden que no sustituye a ninguna comida! 
Recuerden que se debe de hacer en extractor ya que por ahorita no queremos la fibra de las frutas y las verduras, SOLO QUEREMOS SUS VITAMINAS Y SUS NUTRIENTES! 
Les cuento que antes, se me caía demasiado el pelo, y desde que empecé con los jugos verdes en ayunas se me ha parado y puedo decirles que cada vez es menos y menos ya que mi cuerpo absorbe todos esos nutrientes!😁 Para 3 personas utilicé:
*1/3 pepino 🥒
*1 pera pequeña🍐
*ramitas de apio
*1 chayote
*1 calabaza

So this new program I started the other day is alllll kinds of CRAZY!😱 but I’m DIGGIN it! 😍.

Since I decided that I was going to utilize resistance bands for it INSTEAD of weights 💪🏽 to give myself a different challenge, a lot of the exercises (like chest flys and chest presses) have modifications using body weight — insert 20,000 push-ups here 🤦🏽‍♀️.
.
I CAN do 10 regular push ups, which I’ve worked up to this past year, however, after 9 rounds of doing push-ups...your girl needed to drop down and use those knees (because sometimes ya can’t be a hero 🤷🏼‍♀️ — FOCUS on form girl and don’t smash your face 😂).
.
And guess what... I decided my end goal for this program is to bust out tricep pushups like a champ. Because it is ONE thing I have a hard time with, so I am going to UTILIZE this program, focus on form, and KILL tricep pushups over the course of these next 8 weeks. (High fives ✋🏼 for meeee).

I’ve been slowly transitioning all of my skin and body care products into all natural items. These past few weeks, my best friend sold me on Tom’s natural deodorant. Many deodorants are known to have aluminum which can cause cancer. And here we are putting this directly into our pores! I liked the Tom’s deodorant but I need a stronger hold especially for heavy workout days. Did a little more research and started using this deodorant recently. I like the charcoal feel on my skin and it’s held up most of the day! Haven’t used it yet on a workout day but I’m excited to test it out.

Ben was a division 1 college track athlete at Texas State, finishing his last year just short of all-American in long jump and 2nd in the conference in the decathlon. While at Texas State, he earned a degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Health and Wellness promotion. 
Since graduating he has been working as a personal trainer/strength and conditioning coach in the #Austin area. Ben has worked with clients ranging from young kids getting ready for school sports up through professional level athletes in a couple different sports, including a triathlete ranked #1 in the world for her age group. Always do up a lot of raw veggies since find they keep longer this way. My husband usually asks for celery, carrots & snap peas so those are staples 😉 The bell peppers I sautee in coconut oil before serving or add to omelettes for breakfast! Try to have at least one green veggie for salads - Went with spinach and arugula this week. Also did up some grilled zucchini and will use the tomatoes for burger toppings 🍅

When it comes to earl mornings, breakfast, or throughout the day I would normally reach for a coffee to keep myself running, but if you are like me and worry about caffeine and sugar intake well then try this!

This recipe requires two things: coffee and @1stphorm Level-1 which is a sustained assimilation whey protein meal replacement!
🔹1 cup of coffee (decaf is recommended or regular, hot or iced)
🔹1 scoop of Level-1 (caramel latte recommended, I use cinnamon cookie batter at the moment)

The Level-1 will act as the creamer, protein as the creamer! When mixed it will not only taste amazing but it will act as a meal replacement for those hard to eat meals when we are time crunched! Modo de preparo: cozinhar a batata doce e tirar um pouco antes do ponto de cozimento, quando ela ainda não estiver totalmente “translucida” (+- 10min), depois fatia ela e leva no forno com as fatias meladas em uma misturinha de azeite e alecrim. Ás vezes também utilizamos um pouco de páprica defumada ou doce e açafrão, mais para dar uma corzinha. Levar ao forno em 200° por cerca de 30’, abrindo para virar. O purê de jerimum é vegan, feito com leite vegetal 🌱. .
