We like telling stories. A good story teller is always a pleasure to be around. From laughing out loud to crying rivers of tears, stories carry such an immense power. They strongly influence our thoughts and emotions. To that point, the stories we create and tell ourselves have a massive impact on the way we perceive the world around us. But these stories are just that ... stories. We invent them and often they don’t exist outside of our own head.

There are several common stories that most of us recite to ourselves at some point in our lives. One of these is: “I need to be perfect.”

Does perfect exist? Sure it does. Think of that perfect score on an exam or a perfect landing in a big air competition. 10/10. 100%. Problems can arise, however, when people attempt to define perfection in relation to subjective matters. As we internalize the belief that perfect exists in all aspects of our lives, we begin to easily find faults within ourselves and others. Holding yourself and others to unrealistic views in pursuit of your definition of perfection can be detrimental to your mental health.

We can be so hard on ourselves and others as we aim for “perfection”, when in reality, that state we are after might not even exist. Everyone’s idea of perfect is different. It’s all relative.

Strive each day to improve yourself both mentally and physically. Accept that some days will be better than others and your journey through life will never be a linear rise in relation to the time passing. The ups and downs of life are common to us all and the sooner we accept this fact, the sooner we can begin to enjoy all aspects of our lives. Look at failures as opportunities for growth. Breathe.

We are human. We will mess up, time after time. Revel in the fact that we are imperfect. It’s so perfect that we are imperfect because it gives us the opportunity to truly love. Love your own perfect imperfections. Love other’s perfect imperfections. Break free of the story “I need to be perfect.” You already are. Namaste.

I'm gonna get super personal because I think it's a good trick to help you heal negative thoughts by speaking the truth and sharing my "fears" or "failures".. If anyone feels this way, YOU ARE NOT ALONE 💗 I took progress photos this week and they weren't what I totally expected. My booty grew(c/o my progress highlight👀🍑), which made me super happy 🤣 Butt, everything else got fluffier... I gained 6 pounds during this bulk and with my insane progress in the gym, I wasn't expecting what I saw in my photos. Yes I gained muscle, but I also gained fat (I know it's normal, but too much for me) .
Today was a better, more positive day. I felt more confident and I have accepted where I am and I'll continue to strive towards my goals. You should love yourself no matter what and always "See the good" ⬅️One of my favorite quotes! Stop looking for the bad, start accepting, and start loving👑. Siapa sih yg tak kenal jengkol? makanan dg rasa & aroma yg khas ini memang mengandung byk nutrisi. Salah satunya seperti protein, yg berperan dlm proses regenerasi sel2 tubuh yg tlh rusak. Kandungan zat besi pd jengkol juga berfungsi sbg pembentuk hemoglobin dlm darah yg mengangkut oksigen ke seluruh tubuh. Selain itu, ada kalsium & fosfor yg juga sgt baik utk kesehatan tulang kita
Sayangnya, dibalik manfaat yg saya sebutkan tadi, ternyata terdpt bahaya tersembunyi dlm jengkol lho. Nah apa saja sih? yuk mari simak
Pada buah jengkol terdpt senyawa yg mengandung sulfur bernama asam jengkolat.
Asam jengkolat adl asam amino yg memiliki atom belerang, senyawa ini tersusun dari dua asam amino sistein yg diikat oleh satu gugus metil pada atom belerangnya (Wikipedia).
Nah, asam inilah yg berperan mjdkan urin berbau menyengat dan cenderung tidak sedap
Orang yg makan jengkol terlalu byk dpt beresiko terkena penyakit "kejengkolan"/"djengkolism", yaitu kondisi dmn tubuh mengalami intoksikasi (keracunan) akibat penumpukan asam jengkolat yg bersifat sulit larut dlm air. Senyawa tsb lama2 akan mengendap pd ginjal & terbentuklah kristal pd urin.
Manifestasi klinis berupa ggn pd saluran kencing, spt nyeri pinggang, BAK sedikit, sakit/sulit BAK (disuria), bahkan BAK bercampur darah (hematuria). Jika kondisi ini dibiarkan maka akan berpotensi menjadi penyebab batu ginjal yang cukup serius dlm jangka panjang
Eits, pecinta jengkol jgn sedih dulu. Ternyata ada cara yg dpt dilakukan utk mengurangi racun pd jengkol lho. Salah satunya dg menghindari mengonsumsi jengkol yg masih mentah, krn kandungan asam jengkolatnya msh tinggi. Pemasakan/perebusan selama +/- 6 sampai 7 jam dpt mereduksi asam jengkolat scr signifikan. Proses ini akan mengurangi kandungan asam jengkolat dlm jengkol, shg dpt meminimalisir kejadian kejengkolan
Jika Anda termasuk penggemar berat jengkol, sebaiknya jangan lupa tetap selalu imbangi dg makanan bergizi lainnya seperti sayur2an & buah2an. Jgn sampai hanya gara2 Anda terlalu suka/sering makan jengkol, Anda lupa pada risiko yg mungkin muncul

Currently waaay up in northern MN at my parents house where I grew up. That means low quality internet speeds and high quality family time!
Spent yesterday fishing (not catching much as the river was too high and dirty), hanging out with my family and catching up with some friends. Today is being lazy and tomorrow is a full day pontoon trip on the lake. Life is always so go, go, go - sometimes it's so nice and so needed to slow down and relax with family.

The emphasis on innovation in society today far supersedes the focus on maintenance. For this exact reason, it is fairly easy to make the correlation between widespread health instability, both mental and physical, and the lack of focus on maintenance. New cars, phones, computers, clothes and more material things keep pouring out of factories, overstimulating our senses with so much. There’s no wonder why people feel so disconnected from each other and nature. We have lost our way. Fear not, for there is hope.

External things rarely provide a lasting sense of happiness. In order to find that state of permanent bliss, we must, instead, work from within. People work so hard for the wrong reasons and when they finally attain what they want, usually a material thing, within a few months that spiked level of temporary happiness is right back where it was before they had whatever they worked so hard to get, giving people a continued sense of unfulfillment and wanting more more more.

Prioritizing the simple things, such as sleep, diet, reducing total “screen” time, and walks in nature can make a huge difference. In fact, it is the difference. Rebalancing can occur in a simple fashion and can have a long lasting, positive impact on our lives.

Over the next few days I will be posting several beliefs that many of us hold at certain points in our life that can lead to a negative cycle of thinking. Since returning from holiday where I did not train at all I’ve really noticed and realised more than ever the importance of keeping my warm ups dynamic in order to target and activate the specific muscles that I am intending to train. I’ve really noticed and listened to my body this week and it’s crazy to notice how tight and stiff it feels from just having one week off!
During previous years/returns from holiday I’d return to the gym with insane levels of determination to ‘burn off’ all the calories I’d overconsumed on my holiday often over training/double training but for me now it’s such a different ball game. I’m returning to the gym because I enjoy it and I want to build my body back up slowly to the intensity I was training at before holiday by listening to it and taking it all back to basics.
Yesterday, I decided to train back. Therefore, I ensured my warm up was full of back related mobility exercises. I did 10 reps of each exercise in a flowing fashion. I then rested for a minute before repeating the entire exercise set for 3-4 sets.
Exercises included were:
Side to sides
Leg to hand
Cat to camel
I’m pretty sure I’ve picked up some innovative exercise names over the years 🙄😂 but they stick and remind me what to do!
My training intensity certainly hasn’t returned to normal and I’m still building myself up to add in my cardio! 😫😂 DISCLAIMER: I’m not a PT I’m just a person on a fitness journey trying to spread some motivation so the form might not be up to standard! 💁🏽♀️

I think what I have realized in my own journey is it all starts with perspective💡. One person can easily see a situation in a certain way versus someone else that can see it completely opposite.
Every time you think you are just enduring something it only means you haven’t found the positive or the gift 🎁 in the situation. You are choosing to create unhappiness for yourself when you are choosing to just focus on the negative. I am totally guilty of doing this and l let me tell you it’s not helpful for anything. But I am extremely grateful for my children constantly helping me keep my focus in alignment
What story do you need to change in your life to start really enjoying 👈🏼 and stop enduring?
It’s time, right now, right here, to stop enduring and start enjoying your life! Fill your mind with positive truths and affirmations no matter what’s in front of you. There’s always positivity waiting💫...you just may have to search and find it. Some days it’s easier and other days it’s more difficult but it’s always waiting for you! I believe in YOU!
Yesterday was a rest day and I’m still sore but still planning to do day 3 tonight which is shoulders. I honestly couldn’t open the bend in my arms this morning when I woke up. That shows how much this program is going to do wonders for me in just 4 days a week!!

i want to write a caption about losing weight .. till this moment i am not getting into my weight goal but at least am doing my best to work it out .. and it is hard that i have to work more than what i think .. it is not easy it doesnt have to be easy gaining weight all those years .. you cannot drop it in a month or 2 months it took me alot of more than a year to lose weight and do my best i fail yes but what i learn from my journey is
Don’t be scared of failure. Always remember if you never try, you will never know what the result might be. Yes, you might fail after you try, but you can rest easy knowing that at least you tried. Also, don’t give up even if you experience failure. Take it as a lesson in life.
Yes, failure is hard to accept, it has always been. But failure is also an opportunity to grow. Do your best .. No excuses .. Dont give up .. and I am also will do my best .. we are beautiful no matter what .. we can do that no matter how hard we try
and remember ; Whenever you feel like giving up, remember why you set this goal in the first place.
