Super easy and delicious. Exactly what I needed after a rough mama day!
Bone-in chicken thighs braised in cream and on top of roasted brussel sprouts with pecans.
6g net carbs. 12g total carbs. 45g fat. 26g protein.
When you start to learn to no longer self-sabotage yourself. When you no longer live in fear and anxiety. When you no longer second guess but speak life into yourself. When you trust and love the ones around you and just live with GRATITUDE!
There’s so many things I can choose to be upset about that aren’t going as planned. But I’m choosing to be happy for the things that are going right (my family) and just learning to be grateful for them and their happiness.
As humans we naturally tend to think Negative when things go Wrong, but how about we re-wire our brain and look for the good first before we think the worst.
Do you know how long it took me to get that “0” right 😂 Yeah, we aren’t going there... 😳 #smallhandprobs
Ok but in all seriousness, I have a proposal for ya...
I have the very fortunate opportunity to try out a new Shaun T program in January, months ahead of anyone else.
I am looking for busy moms who want to try it out with me. For 6 weeks.
Now, the significance of those hand numbers is that the workouts are only 20 minutes long. Think Insanity, but shorter...and with a step 😅
We can do 20 minutes, right?! That goes by in a flash!
I’ve already had the opportunity to test out a few of the workouts, and they are really cool...hard, but different (because of the step) and actually pretty fun, too.
I like fun 😃
I can bring a few more ladies along with me. If you’re interested, comment and I’ll message you with details 🙂 #shauntfitness @shaunt #transformationwednesday#newyearnewgoals#weightlossmission #
Man without a plan like a ship without the course.
When I was at my lowest of lows it was not a lack of knowledge that kept me there it was a lack of belief, a lack of action, when I think about what it took to get started I was needing a plan. It was needing someone to hold me accountable.
85% of people will set a New Year’s resolution to lose weight, to exercise more, or just simply to improve their overall health.
60% of those people who sent those New Year’s resolutions will quit on those goals within the first week of working on them.
B/c of a lack of a plan. B/c when life happens and it starts to be work to make their goals happen, they find reasons/excuses to allow their goals to slip away.
As I reflect on my own journey, the points where I’ve struggled the most is when I didn’t have a plan.
I chose not to meal plan.
I chose not to prep my food.
I chose not to follow the program calendar.
I chose not to connect to the supports in place for me.
Goals take desire, work and A PLAN.
That’s why I love all the resources and everything I get in my netflix of fitness, - the meal guides, the workout calendars, the support and resources in my group.
Even better the connections I’ve made on this team, which keep me coming back again and again… more determined to stick with it than ever b/c I don’t want to disappoint them.
Are you ready to start your January off on a healthy foot?
Need a plan? Need a support system?
I’m your girl… reach out, let’s talk!
I have to be honest... Fitness is one area as a busy mom that I struggle with.
This year was all about self-care and figuring out my diet. 2019 is going to be Fitness. I can’t wait!
Mamas, send me your workout tips! I’m going to need all the tips and tricks I can get. 🤣
Lunch today was keto AF. If you are practicing keto and are in the Titusville area try this low carb combo (Greek salad, meatballs, and broccoli) from Kelsey’s. It is so delish and honestly a lot of food. I can easily get 2-3 meals out of this. ~~if you know of any keto friendly places to eat in Titusville, PLEASE let me know. There’s not much that I’ve found so far and I’m always looking for lunch ideas.
My top seller! I am 100% NOT exaggerating when I say people eat this right from the bottle and find the most creative uses for it! (TIP: It’s amazing combined with my Christy’s Chile Lime). A combo of sea salt, garlic, black pepper, cilantro, coriander, cumin, paprika and cayenne, this particular blend is currently my most popular! What can you use it on? It's more like what can't you use it on?! Great on all proteins and vegetables, as a taco and fajita seasoning, we also love to combine it with some plain greek yogurt to create an outstanding dipping sauce. —————————————
So tell me, are you a Taste of AZ fan and what are your favorite ways to use it?
Because, I choose to #outworkmypotential !

LOOK AT THIS TRIBE!!!
These are literally two of my favorite mommas and today they got to meet! -
Carin and I have been attached at the hip since we found out our babies were due around the same time and somehow through magical acts, we delivered a couple doors down from each other at the same hospital at the same time!! Our babies are bffs and life has been so fun navigating through motherhood with her.
Allie and I got together through social media when we found out our boys were due around the same time as well. After delivery, we became super close and talk almost every day now.
Guys can you believe that combined we’ve lost more than these babies weigh put together!? 😳😳 These nuggets are definitely chunkers so that’s totally something to be celebrated.
So glad we got to have a mommy-baby play date (even though the coffee shop we met at totally hates us.) I am immensely thankful, grateful and blessed for these women!!
❤ What are the benefits of giving your children DHA? Before my son was born, I was taking DHA as a supplement because it’s very difficult to consume enough through a normal plant-based diet. Now he has this chewable that he begs for every morning! 🙂
DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) is an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid found in our brain. It influences our brain to send messages and grow new connections.
Consuming the right amount of DHA in our diets helps support brain development and vision, but let’s talk about the brain specifically. A child’s brain grows about 3.5 times its size from birth to 5 years of age. DHA is important to support the rapid growth during this time, but also during the prenatal period for women.
Children who have consumed more DHA in their diets pay closer attention, remember what they learn, comprehend better, and have better reasoning skills because of the positive affects on the frontal and prefrontal lobes of the brain.
Most DHA supplements are derived from fish, but you can find vegan ones such as the one in the above pic which is derived from algae.
Which DHA do you use for your kids? ❤
What to do when sick :
Sleep, chicken noodle, water, fluffy blankets, Dr Phil... and pray the kids behave so it’s one less thing to stress about #MomLife ((Moms don’t take sick days...)) .
But really, I was feeling 95% better yesterday after getting a shot Monday for Strep throat... but then took a bath and crawled in bed last night and BAM 💥 Not good. Fever, chills, sweats.. everything hurts. However, in these moments... I’m reminded of how truly grateful I am to be able to be home and not have to stress about sick days, rest in between #mommin and fuel my body properly and nourish myself back to health. .
Here’s to the joy in this journey of life and to quick healing 🙏🏼 because basketball this weekend will consume us. What’s your favorite soup when you’re sick??
MAKE FOOD FUN
Eating healthy should never be boring. We respond to food presentation as much as we do flavor😋
Take an extra minute to plate your food on a colorful dish or add something colorful on the side. You’ll feel like a queen 👑 .
Welcoming another round of ❄️ I love snow ⛄️ It makes me feel like a kid again.
I love to eat it, play in it, sled 🛷 with my kids, and then make hot chocolate.
I actually like shoveling too. It’s good exercise and it gives me time to think 💭
My only complaint.... I hurt in the cold. My hands, my feet, my ears....they hurt so bad.
After doing some research because of other health issues I was struggling with, I found out that my extreme sensitivity to cold, could possibly be an Iron and/or B12 deficiency....
After blood work, theory confirmed.
It wasn’t just a deficiency though, my levels were 🗑
Ferritin was a 10.
I am seeing an amazing doctor who is willing to monitor my blood work to get things back in track as well as taking every bit of knowledge I can from @warriors4wellness
He is insanely smart.
So here is to fixing my one and only complaint about snow!!!

🛑STOP LETTING FEAR RULE YOUR LIFE.🛑 #
Have you tried every diet out there that promises great results, only to feel like you've wasted your time? Or worse, you GAINED weight? Yeah, me too. 🙋♀️ #
What about starting a new workout plan only to last a week and still have a monthly gym membership to pay for because you signed a contract? Yep, this girl again. 🙄
Have you failed so many times, that you just give up trying? I've been there friend, many times. I get so tired of not making progress, tired of starving myself and tired of being disappointed with myself. The negative self talk starts, and that never leads to a good place.
I promise, there is a better way. I found it and succeeded with it. You CAN find a way to eat healthier and exercise that works for YOU! You are unique and need a plan made just for you, not a template or generic meal plan, And the results are not temporary. It is something you can do your entire life.
So don't let fear stop you from trying one more time. This may be the time it all works!
Hitting the short range of the bicep, an area that can be easily missed in most programs. You can do this standing up facing the cables, I was getting pretty exhausted by the very end of my workout so squatting down allowed me to use my knees for more stability so I could keep pushing 🙌🏻. I have two angles so you can see the setup a bit more.
Little nugget for ya - the shortened range is a great way to build a better connection to your muscle ✨🙌🏻
