Man without a plan like a ship without the course. 
When I was at my lowest of lows it was not a lack of knowledge that kept me there it was a lack of belief, a lack of action, when I think about what it took to get started I was needing a plan. It was needing someone to hold me accountable. 
85% of people will set a New Year’s resolution to lose weight, to exercise more, or just simply to improve their overall health. 
60% of those people who sent those New Year’s resolutions will quit on those goals within the first week of working on them.

Why? 
B/c of a lack of a plan. B/c when life happens and it starts to be work to make their goals happen, they find reasons/excuses to allow their goals to slip away. 
As I reflect on my own journey, the points where I’ve struggled the most is when I didn’t have a plan.
I chose not to meal plan. 
I chose not to prep my food. 
I chose not to follow the program calendar. 
I chose not to connect to the supports in place for me. 
Goals take desire, work and A PLAN. 
That’s why I love all the resources and everything I get in my netflix of fitness, - the meal guides, the workout calendars, the support and resources in my group. 
Even better the connections I’ve made on this team, which keep me coming back again and again… more determined to stick with it than ever b/c I don’t want to disappoint them.

Lunch today was keto AF. If you are practicing keto and are in the Titusville area try this low carb combo (Greek salad, meatballs, and broccoli) from Kelsey’s. It is so delish and honestly a lot of food. I can easily get 2-3 meals out of this. ~~if you know of any keto friendly places to eat in Titusville, PLEASE let me know. There’s not much that I’ve found so far and I’m always looking for lunch ideas.

I think when we are sick, we oftentimes use that as an excuse to eat like crap...myself included! 🙋‍♀️ But I've learned that you can be sick and still make easy, savory foods that satisfy your craving for comfort food. Today I woke up after what felt like 27535854756 hours of sleeping because I had a migraine, and was nauseous & starving & definitely did not have the patience or energy to make anything that involved me having to cook. So I grabbed a few hard-boiled eggs (which I always keep on hand in the fridge because I LOVE them), mashed up an avocado, and made some avocado toast. It was sooo good and filled me up, and I didn't feel deprived at all! My next random workout pick - no weights, no strength slides - just natural body resistance and flow, strength and stretching. Heaven on my achy joints and muscles but also intense enough over a 45 minute session to raise the heart rate and a good sweat 💦. Working out does not mean you have to ruin your body to get results- and as we age - those joints and muscles will rebel if we are too rough on them. I like exercise to be sustainable throughout my life - so that I maintain a level of fitness and health that is optimal for me and keeps me pushing for more with healthy results and little to no damage. And I guarantee at 51 I will be able to maintain this lifestyle for as long as I choose because I’m working smarter 🔥. My next random workout pick - no weights, no strength slides - just natural body resistance and flow, strength and stretching. Heaven on my achy joints and muscles but also intense enough over a 45 minute session to raise the heart rate and a good sweat 💦. Working out does not mean you have to ruin your body to get results- and as we age - those joints and muscles will rebel if we are too rough on them. I like exercise to be sustainable throughout my life - so that I maintain a level of fitness and health that is optimal for me and keeps me pushing for more with healthy results and little to no damage. And I guarantee at 51 I will be able to maintain this lifestyle for as long as I choose because I’m working smarter 🔥. I flew into Austin earlier today for our company holiday party and am super excited to spend tonight breaking bread with my amazing co-workers. In anticipation of a big dinner, I broke my fast late today with a small meal. And will try my best to make smart choices at dinner. When dinner isn't up to you, it can be difficult, so I may be off with my macros today. Will I get upset? Will it throw my progress off? Will I go completely off the rails? Nope. I will give myself a bit of grace and start over tomorrow. That's one of the things I love about this program. No guilt. No shame. Just a program that truly is adaptable and has become a lifestyle.

Carin and I have been attached at the hip since we found out our babies were due around the same time and somehow through magical acts, we delivered a couple doors down from each other at the same hospital at the same time!! Our babies are bffs and life has been so fun navigating through motherhood with her.

Allie and I got together through social media when we found out our boys were due around the same time as well. After delivery, we became super close and talk almost every day now.

Guys can you believe that combined we’ve lost more than these babies weigh put together!? 😳😳 These nuggets are definitely chunkers so that’s totally something to be celebrated.

So glad we got to have a mommy-baby play date (even though the coffee shop we met at totally hates us.) I am immensely thankful, grateful and blessed for these women!!

But really, I was feeling 95% better yesterday after getting a shot Monday for Strep throat... but then took a bath and crawled in bed last night and BAM 💥 Not good. Fever, chills, sweats.. everything hurts. However, in these moments... I’m reminded of how truly grateful I am to be able to be home and not have to stress about sick days, rest in between #mommin and fuel my body properly and nourish myself back to health. .

Here’s to the joy in this journey of life and to quick healing 🙏🏼 because basketball this weekend will consume us. What’s your favorite soup when you’re sick??

Welcoming another round of ❄️ I love snow ⛄️ It makes me feel like a kid again.
I love to eat it, play in it, sled 🛷 with my kids, and then make hot chocolate.
I actually like shoveling too. It’s good exercise and it gives me time to think 💭 
My only complaint.... I hurt in the cold. My hands, my feet, my ears....they hurt so bad. 
After doing some research because of other health issues I was struggling with, I found out that my extreme sensitivity to cold, could possibly be an Iron and/or B12 deficiency....
After blood work, theory confirmed.
It wasn’t just a deficiency though, my levels were 🗑 
Ferritin was a 10.
That’s bad.
I am seeing an amazing doctor who is willing to monitor my blood work to get things back in track as well as taking every bit of knowledge I can from @warriors4wellness 
Follow him.
He is insanely smart.
So here is to fixing my one and only complaint about snow!!!
