REAL HONEST RAW BEAUTY
So much of what we see today is simply not real! Blemishes, acne, cellulite, stretch marks, spider veins, body/facial hair, body fat...🤷🏻♀️I got a few of those, wbu?
I’m still working towards being my biggest fan. Being okay with not having a perfect body with perfect skin like society pushes on us. I used to never leave the house without makeup. I didn’t want anyone to stare at my skin. But I’m no longer ashamed of my imperfections, because there is so much more to me than what’s on the surface. We all deserve to be comfortable in our own skin. So give yourself some credit honey because you are beautiful just as you are
SEED CYCLING BALLS .
Ok so what is seed cycling? It’s a gentle way to help your body balance hormones naturally by adding different seeds into your diet at different phases of your cycle. The specific seeds can help your body to either produce or detoxify certain hormones. Specifically, to promote estrogen detoxification in the first half of your cycle (follicular phase) or to increase progesterone in the second half In short, you have two phases within your cycle (luteal phase)
Seed cycling helps with many symptoms related to hormones including acne, pms, irregular periods, infertility, PCOS, post-menopausal symptoms such as low libido or depression
How to seed cycle: you’ll want to eat 2 tablespoons of the desired seeds each day. These should be organic and freshly ground
Follicular phase: days 1-14
-1tbsp flax seeds
-1tbsp pumpkin seeds
Luteal phase: days 15-28
-1tbsp sunflower seeds
-1tbsp sesame seeds .
IF YOURE NOT MENSTRUATING you can still seed cycle. Your days 1 will fall on the new moon, and day 14 on the full moon
I attempted seed cycling a few months back, but got SO tired of fresh grounding seeds daily. But then! I stumbled upon @theemilymorrow seed cycling balls! Because they’re made with freshly ground seeds and stored in the freezer, the seeds hold their potency! She wrote a super detailed blog post on seed cycling if you’re interested in reading more!
Oh and speaking of hormone balance, I just posted a new highlight real on my transition to toxin free beauty 🤗
With the workout program I’m doing, it includes 3 rest days where you are able to walk, hike, do yoga, or RUN! And since my brother is a state track meet runner in Oklahoma and stayed with us last night, we figured we’d go for a run this morning!
I used to be a runner and would run almost every single day. I would run 5K races and even a few half marathons. I finally ended up with a sub30 minute 5K but it took a long time to get there...like a couple of years.
I haven’t run AT ALL since Thanksgiving last year.
But today I ran a 5K in 28:31!!! And I know it’s because I’ve created a healthy lifestyle with better food choices and a variety of workouts that keep me feeling great.
So far this week, we’ve launch a limited collection of Active, dropped some new cruelty free Slippers and Slides and are about to add some one pieces to the site... what’s your fave new KOKOH!?
