I always thought that transformations like this could just happen. That it was easy. That you could just do it. But I quickly learned that you can’t have a physical transformation until you have a spiritual transformation. .

Change comes from within. You have to make the decision that it’s time to transform. That it’s time to be serious and give it all you have. That you will focus your energy on positivity and growth. As long as you have a strong and fearless mentality, your physical transformation will follow. Understand that this life, this journey will test you more mentally than it ever will physically. .

You’ll be knocked down so many times. You’ll have set backs, bumps in the road, and there will be times that you’ve  felt like you’ve lost your way, your purpose, and your why. .

But in those moments what matters is how you respond. What will you do MENTALLY to get back in the game? When I’ve been at this point, I’ve thought back to where and why I started. I refocus my energy on me. I take a break to recharge. I lean on my husband and my family. I set new goals. I make a plan.

Not only am I looking forward to the benefits of essential oils for us but for them too. They both come from trauma and although they have come miles in recovering from it, I'm hoping the oils and a cleaner lifestyle will help take them that extra step. 🐾

My alarm was set for 5:15!! 😞 I reset it for 5:45 and went back to bed 🤣 every book I’ve read says not to do this! But I did 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thankfully I did get up at 5:45 as much of a struggle as it was I got my morning workout done!  I’ve got goals and I’m determined.

I’ve been about the same weight for most of my adult life. And during that time, the scale dictated my life. Down a few lbs, eat the cupcake. Up a few lbs, don’t eat the junk. It’s a miserable, yo-yo, way of life. .

Last May when I started my journey of “at home” workouts and superfood shakes, I slowly noticed my body changing. I slowly noticed muscles I’d never seen before. And  I slowly started caring LESS about the number on the scale. .

All the ‘issues’ you’re dealing with now you can either do something about or stop complaining. See the positive side no matter how hard it is ( there is always one) and then let go and move on. 
I have my bad days too, we all do and it’s healthy to experience this. But the amount of time you spend dwelling and being negative is hours, days, weeks, months, years that you will NEVER get back. 
The focus and energy you chose to spend each day can either make you a victim or a victor in this life. The choice is yours.

Some years ago, 13 to be exact, I signed a poster, as we did often in @Riverdance. However, this one was slightly different. We were on tour in France and heard of a fellow dancer who had  been knocked down and was in a serious condition in hospital. 
Nicole Grieve, at the time aged 14, danced for the highly esteemed Maura McGowan academy in Belfast. Her dance class, along with Riverdancer Damian O'Neill of the O'Neill Academy, presented her with the poster, when she was on the road to recovery.

In June this year, I met Nicole for the first time when she came to my St Anne's Finaghy class. She told me about the poster, and thought my name may have been on it. Nicole is back dancing again, and this time a mother of two beautiful children! Her little daughter is now dancing for Maura McGowan. 
Doctors told Nicole's family, had it not been for dancing, she wouldn't have made the recovery that she did. I'm amazed by her strength and spirit, and I'm so honoured that 13 years later, I'm sharing the dance floor with a real life superwoman! The power of dance, specifically IRISH dance! 💪💪💪

Happy to run with suggestions on what to talk about so pop them below in the comments but briefly I will be covering exams and stress, managing disappointment and spotting signs when your child may be struggling more seriously with their mental health rather than the expected emotions that results day can churn up. It’s been 18 days since I completely changed how I nourish my body. It’s been extreme and hard but the benefits have been crazy. No more rashes, I sleep through the night, no migraines, I’ve lost an incredible amount of bloat and weight and my brain isn’t foggy. I’ve noticed a lot of change in my face and in my smile.

Completed my at-home workout today. Targetted my back, biceps, and core with resistance bands and bodyweight exercises.

So here is my workout:
- 3x3 assisted pullups
- 3x30 resistance band lat rows
- 3x20 resistance band bicep curls
- 4x15 resistance band one arm rows
- 4x30 sec curl hold. (I'm not sure if this is an actual workout, but I was playing around with my resistance band and found that this worked my back and core the most. I think it's very helpful for strengthening your core, especially if you have spinal problems. It looks weird, but it was the hardest part of my workout. I just rested my band below my glutes and attempted to do a bicep curl. I held the position with my biceps and used my lats and abs to hold my body in place).

I know that because I been there many times! So today I decided that I wasn’t going to let that happen. I am blessed to have a easy access workout where in 30 min I can sweat away the stress of the day and check that off my todo list and go on with the rest! And most of all I am extremely THANKFUL

I'm not going to say anything about the fact I think my other doctor has basically blown me off and dropped the ball on everything. Should I just be generic and say I'd like checked for everything? I'm sick daily. I don't want to sound like a hypochondriac. I can't tell him I have major health anxiety. Kind of at a loss. I just want help. I want to feel better. Anyone have any ideas what to say?

Everyone has to start somewhere.
Everyone feels a bit sore and knackered after those first few training sessions.
Everyone one thinks their lungs are going to explode, their legs give out and their arms and shoulders are going to burst in to flames. 
And Everyone is beyond proud of themselves for completing the workout and realising that they DID IT and feel absolutely AMAZING for it!
And then they realise that if they keep training, keep giving it their all and tell themselves that they CAN do this, several things start to happen:
💪🏼they start to feel fitter and healthier 💪🏼they have increased flexibility and mobility making those every day tasks easier to do 💪🏼clothes feel looser
💪🏼their bodies are stronger 💪🏼they have more energy 💪🏼 stress levels decrease dramatically 💪🏼doctors are giving them a big high 5 for all of the changes happening to their body on the inside
💪🏼they make it up those flights of stairs without feeling puffed 💪🏼chasing after their kids is a breeze

For the first time, in almost 6 years, I was able to do a hamstring curl tonight!! I may or may not be crying over this at the moment. It still hurts my nerve damage a lot, but I can finally push through and do them at a low weight now!!!

It seems like such a small accomplishment, but it's really not! This is insanely exciting for me! I went from being told I would never walk again to walking, then running (insanely hard to do!), and now lifting and pushing myself to do more and more despite the pain!! There is still a lot I can't do, but I do my best and in this situation, trying goes a LONG way!
