After loosing my beloved grandma & uncle, I became an emotional eater that’s right!! I did... for 2 years!! You see through out my life I had probably been over weight TWICE!! I was never the fat kid growing up so for me staying thin was a MUST and grandma was always there to take care of my meals but once she was gone I felt lost (I am still lost without her) and the only comfort I found was in food!! If it wasn’t for my friend Ana with whom I started going back to the gym on Feb 2017 & on Nov 2017 I signed up with BB & became a coach (I was still overweight & not loosing weight as fast) but everything change once I started this amazing nutritional program, & within 2 months I have lost 20 pounds... _🍤Cilantro Lime Rice and Shrimp Stuffed Peppers🍤_
•1 lbs cooked and peeled large salad shrimp_
•2 cups cooked brown rice_
•5 bell peppers_
•1/2 cup shredded mozzarella_
•Juice from 1/2 large lime_
•1/4 cup chopped cilantro packed_
•1 cup chicken broth_
•Paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and chili powder_
Cut out middle of bell peppers; place upright in a pan and roast in oven for 60 minutes at 325*_
Cook brown rice with chicken broth/water mixture according to the package directions_
In a separate bowl season shrimp to taste with listed spices and herbs_
When rice is cooked mix in lime juice, cilantro, shrimp, and 1 tbsp of chicken broth_
When peppers are roasted, cut in half, place in 9x9 baking dish and fill the pepper halves evenly with the shrimp and rice mixture. Top the peppers with mozzarella cheese and place in oven at 325* for 20 minutes_

I thought I’d share some facts about essential oils. 💧Essential oils have become popular. And every single company is coming out with their own line of oils. TJ Maxx, Target, Kohl’s and my beloved Amazon. This is certainly an instance where you get what you pay for. 💧You are not guaranteed what you are getting is actually pure essential oil and not synthetic junk. There is not very much regulation on the essential oils industry. So the words “100% pure” or “Certified” mean nada. You need more then words. 💧Research is vital. Legit-CALL the Company. Ask questions. Where is your oil coming from? How do they farm? Do they purchase from a vendor? How do they test and regulate that vendor? Here is what you need to look for: No gmo seeds, no chemicals ever used on soil or plants 🌱 , ethically sourced plants harvested at the proper time and plants are distilled at a low pressure and low temperature. If you’re purchasing through a friend ASK them! They should be able to provide this information and resources. 💧The oily world is big... and growing. It can be an overwhelming world to navigate. One of the huge benefits of Young living is the education. The resources and community are second to none. You cant get me with your Amazon oils. 😉

A little meditation on a really tough day (for no real reason). I have been struggling with finding my footing. I don’t like to fail, yet I’ve become so accustomed to coming in second, or third, or fourth. You get it. I forget sometimes that God didn’t put me on this earth to aim for second place, he put me here for honor. To honor the things he’s given me. I’ve been feeling like I don’t know how to honor myself the past 24 hours. Then I was scrolling through the pictures I took the last few days. This one ran across. This is the sky last night with zero filters. It was a weird haze that made the world look like I was viewing it through an IG filter. The color forced you to look up. It’s funny how God forces you to look up sometimes. I need to be reminded that sometimes it’s hard to move forward. Sometimes you screw up. Sometimes you fall off course, but if you look up and accept the help, He will put you back on path.

🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♂️ 🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♂️ See my hubby! We are almost retired but my hubby & I like to stay fit & healthy! One of our favorite ways to do that is by biking. We especially like the “Rails to Trails” routes that are being developed around the country. These routes were railroad ways that have been stripped of the tracks & converted to paths for bikers & hikers. Usually the elevation grade is minimal so the workout is adequate but not overly tiresome...unless one bikes a LOT of miles in one session which is what we tend to do. 🤣🤣🤣 🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♀️ Here’s a pic of my husband pulling a “Chariot Trailer”. It is designed for two children but right now only one graddaughter is riding. The extra space gives her room for dolls, blankie, snacks, water, etc....Everything to make herself a little “nest” so that she’s comfortable for the ride. The Chariot is VERY well made! Durable! Lightweight ~ I hardly know that I’m pulling a trailer & child. It has several optional adjustments so that it can be used as a stroller for running & jogging too.
🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♂️🚴🏻♀️🚴🏻♂️ One of our favorite “Rail to Trail” routes is the Tunnel Hill State Park Trail near Vienna, IL. The whole trail is 75 miles long but our favorite part to do is from Vienna to Tunnel Hill. This gives us a 20 mile roundtrip ride & includes the famous tunnel for which the trail is named. •••••••••••••••• July has been a slow month for me. I have lost size but not much weight. Although I lost about 10 pounds on keto since June, July progress seems to be happening much slower. ••••••••••••••• On another note, Im counting macros on keto now hoping it will help me see results faster.
••••••••••••• I am really focusing in enjoying my workouts using @marillewellyn gym guide and being positive and consistent for the rest of the month.
I’ve never had a good relationship with food. I went on my first diet when I was 13 because I was tired of kids making fun of me for my weight and I didn’t want to go into high school feeling that way. For lunch in high school I would have a bag of chips and a diet soda. And I survived on junk food and fast food for the most part. -
In my 20s I gained quite a bit of weight and that’s when I started the yo-yo dieting. You name it, I probably tried it because I was so desperate to be a certain weight or size. I did Atkins, Keto, hcg shots, diuretics, over the counter diet pills and I took Phentermine for well over a year. I was eating less than 1000 calories a day and was completely miserable with myself and everyone around me. 😔
After my divorce, I realized that I needed to focus on being healthy for myself and my daughter. That’s when I found T25 and when @shaunt and Beachbody came into my life. Now I’m no longer focused on being “skinny.” I am now addicted to working out and eating healthy because it makes me feel good and because I now know what my body is capable of. I still enjoy my life and the foods that I love but I am finally learning BALANCE because of these programs.
I became a coach because I want to help others who are like me. I want you to know that you can get out of the "diet" mentality. Whether you need help with your nutrition or want to start working out or BOTH, I'm here to help you to live your happiest life. I’m always just a message away! ☺️

WOD 3: 3 rounds, 5 snatches, 10 burpees.
WOD 4: 7 burpee pull ups, 12 handstand push ups @wbrrrr_ did 30sec handstand hold instead @wherearewegoing_mabelmurray did 12 handstand shoulder taps. 400m run to finish.
