WHAT IS IT? :
A light weight product, usually applied after shampooing and conditioning.
Its water content nourish and moisturise, while its conditioning content softens, tames frizz, aids detangling, prevents breakage, and provides ease of styling your hair without weighing it down.
It comes in different forms - spray, liquid, cream, and even mousse.
• Moisturises - usually contains humectant such as, Aloe vera, Rose water, and Glycerin, that help hydrate, soften your hair strands and make them more elastic and stronger.
• Detangles - most often contains detangling agents that add slip and soften hair, making detangling and styling easier.
• Acts as a protective barrier - especially during harsh winter weather and also helps reduce damage from heat use.
• Controls frizz - by locking moisture in your hair shaft.
RINSE OUT vs LEAVE-IN :
• Rinse-out (RC) conditioner is thicker and heavier than Leave-in conditioner (LC).
• RC is specially formulated with ingredients that have good penetrating characteristics to help deeply nourish your hair cuticle and stick to your hair strands even after rinsing out, where as, LC include humectants to help attract moisture to your hair.
• Daily use of RC can cause product build up. While, LC can be used as part of your daily moisturising routine.
Both conditioners share the same basic purpose, retain moisture and soften your hair. However, they are formulated differently and should be us do differently.

Good Morning 🦄! I still can’t believe that there was a time in my life when my curls didn’t look the way they do today 😱. 🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀
I’ve always rocked my curls even when I was still blowing it out straight and applying flatirons to them. I remember in 2006, when I first started dating my husband, I still had ringlets but then something happened 🤔 because in 2008 this was what I rocked as “Curls” 🙈.
I feel like my curls would come and go after that but it wasn’t until 2015 that I made the conscious effort to focus on reviving and maintaining my natural curls. I don’t feel my journey is over. There are days where I still struggle with my hair & I think that will always be the case. But what will get me through those humps is the commitment and the patience that a journey like this requires. I am so grateful for the supportive curl & natural hair community that I’ve embraced and has embraced me. I’ve learned so much from so many and yet there’s still so much I don’t know 🤷🏽♀️.
So🦄, let’s continue on this journey together, supporting, encouraging, & learning from each other 👉🏽#jessxherunicorns . And always try to make the best of it, even on the days where we just want to literately pull our hair out!!!
✨ When did you start your journey👇🏽?

Meet Tiffany: “6 Months of Monat.....
My hair line is completely filled in YAY!!!😍
Look how dry my hair looks in the first picture compared to the last, Monat has given my hair so much hydration, shine, and it's SO soft but yet I can get so much volume and body with it now!
AND my hair has grown 3inches😮😍”
If you’ve thought about joining the healthy hair movement, now is the time! Huge bonuses this summer for new partners.
In less than four years MONAT has grown exponentially with still so much opportunity. My upline is literally so small! You can’t get this opportunity with any other network marketing company. NONE.
I’d love to help you live out your best life!

I always like trying natural home remedies because I feel like they can’t harm my hair in any way and recently I stumbled upon a couple of curly bloggers (@themestizamuse & @powerdomi) who swear by the results of RICE WATER 🍚 💦
So I decided to give it a shot. ✨WHY?
Rice water is the starchy water left over after rice is cooked or left to soak. It is thought to make the hair smooth, shiny, and stimulates hair growth.
It contains many of the vitamins and minerals contained in rice. Like amino acids, B vitamins, vitamin E, minerals & antioxidants. And it’s believed that women in ancient Japan 🇯🇵 had floor-length hair they kept healthy by bathing it in rice water.
I took one cup of uncooked rice, rinsed it thoroughly to remove impurities, soaked it using 2 cups of water for about 30 mins, then strained the rice into a clean container. I let the water stand overnight at room temperature, allowing it to ferment. You can totally use it on the same day but it’s believed that fermented rice water has more benefits than plain rice water. I used as a last step to my wash day routine. After cleansing & conditioning, I massaged it into my hair and scalp and kept it on for about 20 mins then I rinsed it off using cold water❄️then styled as usual. ✨INSTANT RESULTS: Shiny, plumped, SUPER HYDRATED hair & with NO FRIZZ and curls were bouncing like crazy🎉
After about 3-4 uses I have noticed significant decrease in the amount of hair that I lose while detangling👏🏻
Give it a shot, let me know how it worked for y’all.. don’t forget to use my hashtag #CurlspiredbyVana for me to see your results💕

But I've had a productive few days whilst "away". Managed to record my current wash day routine, including how I pre poo and deep condition my hair. Currently editing 🙄
Also have a blog post coming up on @naturalhairmadeeasy...... And an exciting FREE "know your hair" email course coming in July.
In a nut shell: a lot of us naturals tend to do things to our hair or use products without a solid understanding of WHY - been there, done that. This is what inspired the email course I have put together. The focus is to help shed some much needed light on the science of natural hair care with proper explanations and a detailed break down of certain things. This (I am hoping) will help naturals tell the difference between what's necessary for their hair and what isn't. I have learned that a basic understanding of your hair is really necessary when it comes to natural hair care - it will save you from a lot of frustrations. Besides, if you don't really know why you're doing something then how can you really measure if it's working or not?
I am so thankful for the emails that I get via @naturalhairmadeeasy. I get to reLearn so much because of them.
