My man .coughlan with a nice little guide for a breakfast idea and the differences in oats. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💥DOUBLE TAP if you love OATS!💥 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Which is the healthiest kind of oat? There are 4 types: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💚1.Steel Cut Oats. These are the least processed oats. Steel cut oats come from the oat kernel, and have simply been chopped into large pieces. Takes 20 mins to cook. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💚2.Rolled Oats. These are the second least processed oats. Basically, the whole oat grains are taken and steamed and then rolled out into flakes. Takes 10 mins to cook. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💚3.Quick Cooking Oats. Quick-cooking rolled oats are the same as regular rolled oats, except they have been steamed for longer, and tend to be in slightly smaller pieces. Takes 5 mins to cook. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❌4.Instant Oats. These are the most highly processed oats. Most of the fiber, minerals, and nutrients (that I wrote about in a previous post) have been removed during processing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So which one should you eat? 🌾 Obviously the less processing something goes through, the more nutrients it has. I personally like quick rolled oats because they only take 5 minutes to cook and they’re still very nutrient dense. 🌾 DO NOT buy instant oats. The processing they go through removes the majority of the goodness (fiber and nutrients). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hope this clears some confusion from my last post about oats. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Peace Out ✌️- Kyle ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What oats do you prefer?

*WHY DIETS WORK* by ⠀
As a unique human being, you will always have a dietary preference. Because you are unique. I swear by intermittent fasting and flexible dieting, but that's doesn't mean it's the only thing that works.
Make no mistake about it: if you've lost or you're losing weight on a certain diet, it's only because of ONE reason:⠀
It creates a caloric deficit that also happens to be comfortable for you to sustain. ⠀
That is the reason why all diets work. They put you and leave you in a caloric deficit.⠀
Now I know what you're thinking: "If all diets work, why did diet X not work for me? I tried it in the past and I didn't see any results."⠀
And the answer is again unique: either you were not in a caloric deficit, or you couldn't sustain the caloric deficit. ⠀
KETO works if you are in a caloric deficit, but it may not work for YOU because you can't sustain it. ⠀
PALEO works if you are in a caloric deficit, but it may not work for YOU because you can't sustain it. ⠀
Etc. You get the point.⠀
For diet X to work, it needs to put you in a caloric deficit, make you ENJOY being in a deficit, and fit your body type/hormonal profile.⠀
You don't use a hammer to make a whole in the wall. You use a drill. That doesn't mean hammers don't work. They just don't work for making a whole in the wall.⠀
Same thing with diets. You need to find THE RIGHT TOOL/METHOD for the job. YOUR JOB.⠀
I hope this makes sense. If you enjoyed this post, please like it and leave a comment below to help me reach more people! I appreciate it. ⠀

Yoghurt, fruit, pistachio nuts & a drizzle of @rowsehoneyuk honey. I have recently started buying @aldiuk Greek yoghurt which I can tell you now gives Fage Greek yoghurt a serious run for its money. It’s just as creamy & tastes just as good plus best of all, it’s half the price for a 500g tub. Give it a try & see if you can tell the difference! #foodreview#greekyoghurt#freshfruit#pistachio#realfood#healthybreakfast 😋
A quick and satisfying meal for this busy Mama. Baked sesame tofu with soba noodles(mixed with my coconut spinach from last post) broccoli, radish, cucumber and kale. The entire family love these ingredients. If you have never tried tofu because you think it’s boring I urge you to bake it with some sesame oil, Tamari or soy sauce and garlic... and if you’re feeling dangerous, some peanut butter is amaaaaaaazing! All I do is cube the tofu. Marinate it for a few hours or overnight. Bake at 180 for 20-30mins covered. Fool proof x #yumyumyum#vegetarian#fastfood#familyfood

Dessert before dinner 😁😜 anyone? When it’s healthy and your hangry why not 😂!!! Forget jelly and unhealthy desserts 🍨 and instead go for this powerhouse. Using @thechiaco chia seeds and boiling water, thanks for the tip @freshhealthyyum 🙌🏼👏🏼 you have dessert in time. Let it cool and add @raglancoconutyoghurt strawberry and açai yoghurt 😍😍😍. Add @oob.organic mixed berries, squash 3/4 cup and blend in and add extra on top! Sprinkle @mistydayplantpotions Pitaya Powder and @ceresorganics maple 🍁 syrup and you have a delicious healthy snack/dessert ☺️. Sprinkle any granola or break up a bliss ball and indulge in some yumminess!!! Great also as a pre/post workout 👣💪🏼!!!
Which are you - a fresh or a frozen person?
Don’t be afraid to buy frozen on some food.
👍🏼👍🏼 An easy money saving hack would be to go with frozen over fresh veggies & fruits.
Studies show negligible differences in nutritional value when it comes to frozen vs. fresh produce.
In fact, frozen might have more nutrient dense properties since it’s picked when ripe & immediately frozen 💫
As you may have noticed, some frozen food doesn’t have then same flavor and can turn to mush when cooked because of the broken cell membranes and walls. 🤓🤓 Whichever fits your preference, I would try to stick to organic with the “dirty dozen” list of foods & you could skip organic on the “clean 15” list (but remember eating veggies & fruit is better than not eating veggies & fruit either way).
Dirty dozen (buy these organic where possible): strawberries, peaches, celery, pears, nectarines, bell peppers, spinach, cherries, grapes, tomatoes.
Clean 15: broccoli, cauliflower, cantaloupe, kiwi, honeydew, eggplant, mangos, asparagus, papayas, frozen sweat peas, onions, cabbage, pineapples, sweet corn & avocados .
Make the choices, find your why and become healthier today 🤗

Breakfast muffins full of goodness without the guilt! Dairy free, nut free and wheat free.... These are my muffins I posted a while back, but instead of blueberries I used a punnet of winter strawberries because there's an abundance of them in our fridge!! .
2 cups gluten free plain flour
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 heaped tablespoon of 100% açai powder - optional
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 banana’s roughly mashed
100g blueberries or a punnet of strawberries
1 tablespoon of honey
1/2 cup of coconut milk
1 teaspoon vanilla paste
2 free range eggs
1/4 cup coconut oil melted
Serve with whipped ricotta with them
1. Preheat oven to 160C and grease a 12 hole muffin tray.
2. In a large bowl sift in flour. Add coconut, baking powder, açai powder.
3. In another bowl add mashed banana, honey, vanilla paste, eggs and coconut milk. Mix well to combine. Add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and combine.
4. Mix in the melted coconut oil and spoon into muffin tray.
5. add a one strawberry but I to quarters on top of muffins and cook for 25 - 30 minutes until golden brown.
6. Let cool for 10 minutes.
Best eaten warm so pop in microwave for 10- 15 seconds and store in fridge. Will last 4 days. Otherwise freeze, defrost and microwave.
It’s been a while since I have posted here. We are in a busy season of change as we are planning a move from Colorado to Florida. During this crazy time, food has been a second thought which means lots of eating out, ordering gf pizza, and more ice cream dinners than I’d like to admit. But today I went to @costco to load up on whole foods and kid snacks. I also bought these planet stainless steel lunch boxes second hand. My kids were excited about the new way to take food to school so I thought I’d share what my son packed for his lunch tomorrow. #progressnotperfection#glutenfree
Just landed in DC, woohoo!!💕Now gonna hit the road to VA for the wedding!💍

This 131 Super Green Lemon Pesto is a huge fave with everyone at 131 HQ. It’s loaded with all kinds of super duper ingredients, and tastes amazing on pretty much anything.
Our Media Chef, @livingleanwitherin, loves topping low carb pizza, miracle noodles, zucchini noodles, chicken and salmon with this perfect pesto.👌😍 (recipe in your program! Give it a try if you haven’t yet.) #131Method
And can we just take a moment of silence to appreciate how beautiful this looks & how amazing it tasted? I’m lactose intolerant & didn’t bring my meds out with me today BUT I definitely had to try @coffeecollectif ‘s coffee soft serve ice cream! Literally the BEST soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had.. and the fact that it was coffee flavor + espresso powder on top = tummy troubles are the least of my problems right now. 🤗🙌🏼 and yes, I just got sick but I was craving ice cream all day long.. 🤷🏻♀️🙊 #coffeecollectif#thecoffeecollective#copenhageneats#copenhagen#thatsdarling#icecream#torvehallen#copenhagenfood#jleetravels
