Hey Badass Babe, Remember this- Never compare your progress. You are wonderfully unique and will achieve said progress differently than Susie fitness girl next door. So don’t focus on her progress. Focus on yours and be ultra proud of YOURself every step along the way. ❤️ #dowhatyoucan#mondaymotivation
Would you have this for breakfast or dessert? #jemorganics _____________________

Still on a matcha kick 🍵 but since I had my second (and last) wisdom tooth surgery yesterday I can’t have my cuppa matcha latte yet. It would‘ve been so nice on a rainy day like today, but I have to stick to cold or lukewarm foods and drinks first. This Matcha Chia Pudding topped with 🍌, 🥝, and almond butter is the next best thing. Hope you’re all having a great Tuesday so far! Stay safe and dry, friends 🤗
P.S. I initially didn’t want to post this photo because it was only shot using my phone, but then I realized that I was being silly! So what if this photo “ruins” my feed? I want to post it. Simple as that. Progress, not perfection 🌱
soft boiled eggs literally make my heart sing. that with mashed avocado on a ghee slathered bread is the best. 🌿🌱 anddddd cause i have never been one to choose one or the other. @canyonglutenfree gluten free bread, toasted then smothered @fourthandheart pink salt ghee. then top one with mashed avocado + @majesticgarlic creamy basil garlic, top with jammy eggs, tons of nutritional yeast + black pepper. then cover the other one with tahini + local raspberry jam 🤤🤤 #followourpassionstyle#glutenfreebread#glutenfreeeats
Told the kids we’re having nachos for dinner 😂🙌🏻😋 (but really they had #pepperboats and loved them) 😍 They both “hate” peppers so I call this a #momwin 💗
Do you know where your food came from? SPOILER ALERT 🚨 I do!⠀
The more you can buy local, the better in my eyes. This includes options for fresh produce, meats, etc. depending on what you have available. Sometimes it’s not always an option, (& can vary depending on seasonality) but it’s a great to explore if options are available and what they each can include!⠀
Try checking out 👉🏻farmers markets, Community Supported Agriculture’s (CSAs) and food cooperatives (food co-ops) to get a head start!⠀
There are so many benefits to eating local but just to name a few:⠀
🍉 produce is picked at its peak (say that five times fast! 😂) meaning there is more flavaaaa!⠀
🥕food is coming from a local source meaning MORE micronutrients...ya know, that stuff that makes out bodies work like tick tock.⠀
🍏 local seasonality - eating more variety can make healthy eating more desirable and palatable! Fresh foods taste good! And feed your gut bugs! That’s a win win in my book. 😏⠀
Share with me one way you eat local or one way listed here that you want to explore/know more about! 👇🏻👇🏻See my IG stories for my latest farmers market goods & let me tell ya...there is some good stuff! 🤤⠀
🌺Nature gives joy🌺
A simple bouquet of zinnias, dill, and lemon balm can dress up an entire home. The colors, fragrances, and sheer life force can bring tremendous uplift. .
Here are a few tips to keep cut flowers fresh:
*Cut the stems of the flowers at an angle. This allows the flower to soak up nutrients more easily.
*Add a drop of Melaleuca essential oil and a teaspoon of sugar to a cup of water and add to a flower water. The melaleuca helps kill bacteria that leads to mold growth.
*Use filtered water to reduce the amount of chlorine and other minerals or chemicals often found in tap water. These substances diminish plant health.
*Change flower water and recut flower stems (just a tiny bit) every 2–3 days. A cut flower stem eventually seals up, preventing nutrient assimilation. So cutting the stems and adding more nutrients helps preserve the flowers.
*Keep cut flowers away from direct heat and light (if possible).
Bring more fresh foods and flowers into your life. Simple wellness tip!

Lunch + coffee (aka matcha latte) with Anna the other day!!!! We went to true food kitchen and it was very yummy. They have so many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Anna got the ancient grains bowl with tofu (which I think is one of their popular dishes) and I got the seasonal salad w all the veg😊 and some goat cheese. and then we went to this coffee shop called coffeebar in Menlo Park. Their matcha latte was SUPER good!!!!! I really liked it. Especially the heart!
If you think you will not be able to taste popcorn again after starting a lectin free / grain free diet, think again. Sorghum, a grain native to Africa and and a staple in Africa, India, Central America is the fifth most important cereal crop in the world (according to Wikipedia). Sorghum is lectin free and gluten free and it pops exactly like corn, it’s just much smaller. I also use it to replace rice in different dishes like risottos or cabbage rolls. I’ve been eating super low carb this past week, and starting the cleanse tomorrow, so I felt like having some carbs tonight. The essential of making the sorghum pop is a stainless steel thick pan with a tight lid (I use a small sauce pan from @allclad). I add a small quantity of avocado oil to the heated pan (medium to high heat), add the sorghum so it’s spaced out and doesn’t cover the entire bottom of the pan, add the lid and shake the pan regularly. You will hear them pop and when you stop hearing the pops they are ready. I added ghee, salt and Parmigiano to these. 😋 #plantparadox#theplantparadox#lectinfree#lectinfreediet#glutenfree#popcorn#sorghum#poppedsorghum#guthealth#antiinflammatorydiet#thenewhealthy#foodismedicine#grainfree#sugarfree#healthyfoodie#dallasfoodie#texasfoodie#romanianfoodie#weightlossinspiration

What you need to hear:
Before I carry on, I want to say happy To my American Followers 💚 Secondly, my latest podcast episode about “Consistency Over Perfection” has just been released. (Link in my Story Highlights)
It’s halfway through 2018. Are you still on track or have you lost track of your goals?
If you’re feeling a lack of motivation or have given up on your goals, you need to read this:
It’s ok, it’s normal to feel like this. Forgive yourself for feeling this way.
Now, I could have said “ SUCK IT UP and stop being a loser, no pain no gain!” - unfortunately, this is what most of the fitness industry would say to you.
It’s easy to sell a hard and unforgiving mentality, and that’s probably because most of us need a kick up the bum to get started.
However, it’s not so easy to sell a more realistic and sustainable mindset.
Truth is that this is part of the process. Progress is not linear.
Consistency > Perfection.
As long as we are at least taking small steps consistently, we are making progress.
E.g. If you’ve missed a few gym sessions but are still eating veggies with every meal, you’re still making progress.
Focus on the small wins.
Take it step by step, day by day. Let the small wins give you the momentum to get back on track.
No matter how small it may be (e.g. 5 mins of stretching instead of attending 1 hour of yoga) it’s still a win.
Hope that made sense. Now go out there and WIN! 👊 ⠀

#FredMeyersPartner What’s your favorite stone fruit? Peaches have always been my number one and they are finally in season! I picked a few up from my neighborhood Fred Meyer’s, which carries local, fresh stone fruit including peaches, nectarines, apricots and plums. Although I love biting into a fresh, juicy peach, I also like using them in my baking, smoothies and frozen recipes like this No-Bake Peaches & Cream Cake. @FredMeyerStores #FreddyFinds
