This is becoming a bit of a classic for River. Recipe from @young_gums Beth is the go to for super healthy , tasty baby recipes. I always like making this the day following a roast chicken as I slow cook the bones over night to make a stock. Will share my recipe for this if it's helpful.

I had no plans on making baby food myself this time around, but last week I read an article on @fatherly that changed my mind. Consumer Reports just released findings of "troublesome" amounts of heavy metals found in food for babies and toddlers. Heavy metals are no joke - they are known carcinogens and can cause developmental issues in kids under 4. Baby foods with 'rice and sweet potatoes are also more likely to contain an unsafe amount of heavy metals,' Fatherly reports. Interestingly enough, both organic and regular versions were affected equally.

💚banana oat pancakes (recipe coming soon it needs a little tweaking) 💚blueberry sauce
💚plain whole milk yogurt with a sprinkle of hemp seeds .
I was going to round out Everett’s plate with a few slices of banana, but he was too hangry to wait anymore. He seemed to really love the pancakes which made me happy! .
Blueberry sauce - 1 1/4 cups of blueberries (this was the amount I had on hand) 😹
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup - 2 tablespoons of water - 1 tablespoon of chia seeds .
Cook on medium heat till the blueberries start breaking down and then simmered for just a few more minutes.

Unfortunately, this common piece of advice gives mothers false hope + can put a lot of pressure on mealtime. If a baby is genuinely hungry + their appetite has been satiated appropriately then absolutely, they may not wake up for milk as much!
But with such a promise, the risk of over-feeding runs high which can burden a brand-new digestive system. This causes food to move through the GI like sludge, consequently rotting in the guts.
Perhaps baby will sleep longer however it may come at a cost. The ideal solution is to respect baby’s cues at mealtime;
