I have a sick kiddo home today and all he wanted for lunch was a grilled cheese sandwich. As I'm making his grilled cheese sandwich 😜, my stomach is growling! He doesn't like the crust so I have to cut them off....which are my fave!!! The old me would cut more than just a little of the crust and call that MY lunch! Basically I'd be sharing his lunch 🤦♀️ NOT today..... Today I carefully cut just enough of the crust off and left the perfect amount of bread and cheese for my kiddo 😘😘😘 NOT 🚫 touching any of his cheese sandwich! Then....I made my non-negotiable healthiest meal of my day! This bad boy fills me up more than that empty carb cheese sandwich ever would of. You know what my biggest pet peeve is when I go to a craft show? When people are selling a product, but when you look at them, they aren't wearing it.....OR....when you ask about the products the response is "I've never tried them, but....". Typically these people last maaaybeee a year in their business, then quit. “I already eat healthy. Why would I need to drink that?” 🤔 Let me be honest & tell you I often have people ask me this question about the shake I drink, & I don’t mind answering it. It’s a very valid question! Here are a few things I’d like to point out: 1). One of the easiest answers is, even if you are already eating healthy, there are most likely some gaps in your nutrition. Are you eating all the nutrition your body needs in a day to obtain your best health? Honestly, it would be difficult to eat that much food and have access to it. 2) Do you often eat yacon root, ashwaganda, sacha inchi, cami camu, schisandra, or konjac root (for starters)? Ever even heard of those??? I know I sure hadn’t!! These are just a few of the MANY super foods in this shake that help bring down cholesterol, fight depression, prevent heart disease, improve digestion, improve your immune system, increase energy, & basically positively affect all body systems. 3). Our food today just isn’t as healthy as it was 20 years ago. Unfortunately, we overuse pesticides & that means our soil has less nutrients than it once had. If the nutrients aren’t in the soil, then the food won’t have as many nutrients either. FBF - what what?!?! 🤰 This popped up over on the book today and I guess I never really went back to think about just how far I’ve come. I remember how big of a mess I was but I didn’t know JUST how big until I saw this picture this morning. 😳🤦♀️🤷♀️ Maybe because I’m in the process of starting a new program with a group of women starting their journey also, that I’m more in tune but this hit home today. What’s funny is, I was just having a conversation with the hubs this morning about how I felt at the end of my pregnancy and the very beginning after. At a time when I should have been enjoying my last baby experience, nursing newborn bliss, the back of my mind was consumed with losing baby weight. I was 38 years old and my friends jokes were starting to take hold of my mind. Three months postpartum I attempted T25. It was comedy. But this guy! This is the same dude from Insanity??? I kept attempting and kept going back for me. His words of encouragement spoke to my soul and saw something in me that I didn’t. I had no idea who Shaun T was or his WHY. Had no idea how much he would move me over the next few years. Until now. Thank you @shaunt for telling me I could do it. Then SHOWING me how. Consistency and one of these things here in this photo I’ve been the most consistent with... it’s the most taboo one in the picture... you know the “shake” back there. I mean before I understood what the purpose and goal should be with one versus what I thought because of advertising and media I was just like you. I thought that “shakes” were a gimmick and wouldn’t work for me because the exposure and experience I had prior led me to believe it was something other than what it was. I thought it was a meal replacement like a protein shake or like Slimfast or Ensure.... like it was for people who had poor nutrition habits and couldn’t get the right nutrients. Well I was partially right... I mean that is the point if it’s a total meal replacement it should give you the nutrients from a total meal and be able to sufficiently fuel your body... not just give you “protein”. Which that’s where my disconnect was... I mean I wasn’t protein deficient... I was nutrient deficient. Here’s the thing... I’m 37 and will be 38 in a month and I’m the healthiest I’ve been my entire life... a lot has to do with my lifestyle but most of that is from this “shake”. Think of it more like a multivitamin + protein blend + supergreen shot + antioxidant/immune boosting supplement + stress support vitamin complex + digestive enzyme supplement + probiotic/prebiotic supplement. So this old man can get his health on, on the go, and properly. I also add a power greens formula to my shake and other ingredients to fit my needs and meal plan for the day... it’s good as a meal replacement or stand alone as a snack. WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS??? So you don’t buy into the hype and opinions of others and take advice from someone who’s been there. A most wonderful fast and fabulous couple of days in Worthing catching up with my gorgeous friend Melanie who lives close by and last night attending the most amazing workshop in plant-based healthy breakfasts with the phenomenonal Kam. Kam is an accomplished chef and has recently trained with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating and utilising her own journey with food, helps us to understand how to reverse years of negative self image and programming to make friends with food and live a life that is happy, healthy and whole. Last night's masterclass was a feast for the senses, exemplifying how a healthy start to the day will satiate the mind and body so that 'quick fix' default responses stay in the past where they belong and never having to make the excuse that you've got no time or energy. The recipes were delicious, simple and attainable and Kam drew upon her Indian ethnicity to ramp up our often British blandness. Up and at it before the sun. Does this sound like your reality?! I always hated having to wake up early when I was in school and craved my weekends to sleep in. #oldladystatus Now don’t get me wrong sometimes I do still LOVE to sleep in but I always feel so groggy and useless on the days that I do (like yesterday). It’s not always perfect, some days my excuses are stronger than my commitment but that doesn’t mean I throw in the towel! Today, I pushed past those excuses, got in a workout and out the door with the healthiest meal I will have today in hand. I find it so wild that I can get my probiotics, prebiotics, adaptogens, essential nutrients, protein and so much more in a little shake. This thing has been a GAME CHANGER in my life! It has helped fuel my body with all the nutrients my diet was lacking and now I feel so full of energy and hardly get sick. My digestion has never been better. Haters gonna hate ✌🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I talk to people all day long about my daily shake I drink. Once people hear the price, they’re out 🤷🏻♀️ which makes me laugh cuz that was soooo me before I realized how beneficial this little drink is... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once I finally gave it after months of my own research, I was hooked! And that’s part of the reason I signed as a coach. I wanted that discount you get 😜 do the math and it comes out to about $3.70/day. I’m sorry, but with the rise of minimum wage, you can’t get a Taco Bell or Wendy’s for under $5 anymore. And truth be told, I’ve never had to pay out of pocket for it 🤷🏻♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Think about it this way, it’s like buying 30 meals up front. Plus, this ensures I’m filling in my nutritional gaps cuz let’s face it, I like to party and I don’t always eat all my veggies 🙊 this little shake makes sure I’m having at least one healthy meal a day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ More haters rolling in?? I’m okay with that 🥳 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I share this, not to convince you but simply because I normally have dry, brittle nails. Combination of poor diet I’m sure and my thyroid. The only change I have made these last couple months was drinking this shake daily. My nails right at this moment are long and oh so pretty 🥰 which is something they have never been. They always broke the moment they got long. And they have been this length for over a month now. I’m attributing this little miracle to my superfoods shake! Also, my hair is longer, it gives me a little energy boost and tastes like a chocolate milkshake 🙌🏻 SOLD! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now, enough about healthy stuff. On today's lunch time episode of "Sharing is Caring" Let's take a second to talk about this. I have had my morning breakfast shake 16 days in 2019....in a row...there have been 16 days in the new year I make it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY why? Because this is LEGIT GOLD. I DEFINITELY notice a difference when I have it and when I don't (spoiler alert, the days I do are definitely better). People say that being healthy is expensive, but for about $4 a day I get the equivalent of eating 6 salads, my chocolate fix that's healthy for me, all of the nutrients my body needs (when I was flying THAT was a challenge), it gives me energy, makes me feel good overall, and I (disclaimer: not scientifically proven, but I'm just saying) have noticed my hair grows faster and healthier Being fit and healthy doesn't HAVE TO be difficult...youve just gotta show up daily for YOU ❤️

So I did a thing! After a lot of thought and consideration, I decided it was the right choice. I hired a CHEF!!! 👩🍳 More specifically, a Shakeo Chef! This talented young lady is a shake master and makes my daily dose of dense nutrition each day. She uses creative recipes to make me a delicious, nutritious shake that I absolutely love! Plus, she works for sample sips and hugs so I can't beat it! ❤️ For real though, Sierra has taken over the majority of my shake making and I couldn't be happier about it. She saves me time by taking this task off my hands, she gets to use her creative juices, and she is participating in a healthy habit. Sierra knows how important my daily shake is to me and she is proud to make it each day. 🍓Auri's chocoBerry Smoothie Bowl🍓 . I always see these recipes and I had limited smoothie supplies so I made my own 😜 Mom and son bowls for breakfast 👩👧💖 . Recipe: 1 scoop chocolate vegan nutrition shake 3 frozen strawberries 1/2 c frozen blueberries 1 c water 1 c ice Splash of unsweetened almond milk ❄lots of ice❄ Blend!!! Until frozen yogurt consistency is created. . I topped it with less than a 1/2 cup of blueberries, handful of granola, and sprinkle if coconut shavings (Noah refused the coconut) . And then💥BOOM💥 ENJOY a healthy yumy ice cream breakfast 💓 We sure enjoyed it.....also it was crazy filling.
