Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight, mind, and more. "Sleep used to be kind of ignored, like parking our car in a garage and picking it up in the morning," says David Rapoport, MD, director of the NYU Sleep Disorders Program.
Not anymore. Here are some health benefits researchers have discovered about a good night’s sleep.

One of my latest obsessions (fitness-wise) is TRX 😎 I ended up trying TRX because a friend was driving me nuts about its benefits 😂 now I don’t need a lot of convincing when it comes to gym classes so I went. I cursed, I fell and I was incapable of doing a lot of those exercises BUT I LOVED IT! I think it’s really important to SPICE UP 🌶 your fitness routine once in a while 🥇 your body gets used very fast with the exercises you’re doing so it is recommended to change it once a month. So don’t go to aerobic classes or running every day, mix it all up. Try something that CHALLENGES you, something that makes you LAUGH, CURSE and SWEAT in the same time ❤️ @polarglobal #trxworkout

Green tea is loaded with health benefits. Based on Harvard Health data, green tea may help lower LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
Study carried out by Purdue university points out that benefits of green tea can be further increased, if it is taken with a dash of lemon juice.
According to this team, lemon juice makes green tea’s antioxidants more readily available for absorption. Body can absorb as much as six times more catechins in presence of lemon juice. Lemon juice also can reduce the effect of certain compounds in green tea that can restrict ability to absorb iron from foods.
Talking about the importance of having CLARITY and how it ties into nutrition and health, with these other lovely ladies ✨ for FANCL’s newsletter out this month!! 🗞
“There is a big psychological aspect to eating. It is important to help clients understand why they are eating and how they are eating, as much as what they are eating. We also want to develop awareness of the physical, emotional and mental cues surrounding food. In order to bring about sustainable change, it’s more important to have clarity on our motivations and underlying psyche, rather than clarity on goals that are solely focused on a physical outcome (like losing 5kg). Asking, “How can we be the best versions of ourselves?” helps us gain clarity. I remind my clients that fueling our bodies well is a practice of self-love, self-care and compassion” ✨🌸

Chocolate is often called a “superfood”, but not all 🍫 is created equal...⠀
Milk Vs Dark 🍫 ⠀
Most of the benefits of chocolate are found in cacao / dark chocolate varieties with no or minimum heat treatment and no or minimum ingredients added. Milk chocolate is more processed with milk solids, cream & sugar with fewer benefits. In general, the darker the better.⠀
Some Tips on Cacao:⠀
👉🏼 It contains caffeine, a small amount but if you're caffeine sensitive this can effect your sleep. Avoid it a 1-2 hours before bed.⠀
👉🏼 Contains benefits (below) but calories at the same time. Be mindful with quantities.⠀
👉🏼 Contains high levels of histamines. People who suffer from migraines will know to avoid fermented foods for this reason.⠀
👉🏼 Addictive properties, hard to Stop ✋🏻⠀
👉🏼 Opt for raw cacao which keeps intact more of the associated benefits mentioned below...⠀
Some benefits of high quality cacao:⠀
👉🏼 Protection against free radicals due to high antioxidant levels.⠀
👉🏼 Keeping heart healthy, lowering blood pressure & improving Blood flow, reducing risk of heart attack or stroke.⠀
👉🏼 Improved cognition with increased blood flow to the brain, contains compounds of theobromine + caffeine stimulating brain function.⠀
👉🏼 A good source of micronutrients such as Manganese, Magnesium & Copper!⠀
Personally I like 70% after lunch or dinner (not caffeine sensitive). ⠀

HMT has created ATP FUEL the first ATP product of its kind. ATP is the ONLY energy source that the human body can truly utilize, irrespective of aerobic or anaerobic activity. ATP is responsible for virtually all (100%) of metabolic processes in living organisms.
ATP has been shown to enhance the delivery of oxygen, glucose and other nutrients to working skeletal muscle. ATP has been shown to do the following:
*ATP stimulates glycogen building in skeletal muscle via GLUT4 insulin transport.
*ATP increases vasodilation via the ATP degenerated product adenosine as a vasodilator.
*ATP increases oxygen flow and L-Arginine uptake through GLUT4 insulin transport which increases the uptake of amino acids and other nutrients.

Γνωρίζετε ότι το κάρδαμο, ➡️Το μασούσαν οι αρχαίοι Αιγύπτιοι για να δροσίσουν την αναπνοή τους, ➡️ Οι Άραβες το βάζουν ακόμα στον καφέ και στο τσάι τους για να πετύχουν καλύτερη γεύση και το θεωρούν σύμβολο φιλίας και φιλοξενίας και ➡️ Οι Έλληνες και οι Ρωμαίοι το χρησιμοποιούσαν ως άρωμα;
Ollie and I like to sit and watch tv at the end of the day. In a 24-h day time is spent in either sedentary behaviour, sleeping, light-moderate-or vigorous physical activity, and whatever is chosen can have different associations with health. A change in activity can have multiplicative impact. For example replacing sedentary time with increased activity adds activity and decreases sedentary time. Research has found that reallocating 30 min/day of sedentary time with light physical activity (like walking) reduced mortality risk by 20% over five-years. Evidence consistently suggest that replacing sedentary time with higher intensities of physical activity is associated with reduced mortality. The point: Just replacing some sitting around time with a little more activity does have an impact on health. I’m not saying be active all day but think of adding some movement during times you’re normally still. There are of course more health benefits to replacing light activity with moderate or high intensity activity. Research on the benefits of standing over sitting is still on-going. #doglover#tvtime#sedentary#activity#lifestylemedicine

"@medicalmedium teaches us that it’s crucial to be eating healing foods in our current day and has deemed these ten as especially important.
This is because our environment is changing so rapidly, causing us great stress. Depleted nutrients in our soil, pollution, toxins, chemicals, pathogens and so forth are making it a challenge to stay healthy, let alone thrive.
To combat the demands that our bodies are under, it’s vital that we feed them extraordinary foods. These are the foods that are most healing and have adapted themselves to the stresses placed upon them, by developing survival techniques. Therefore, they will do the same for us when we eat them. They will help us to make it through these stresses like they have.
These 10 foods offer us loads of minerals, phytochemicals, antioxidants and micronutrients that can’t be replicated by any man-made vitamins. They not only treat deficiencies, but they also help to prevent them.
So, if you want to heal and be as healthy as you desire to be, try to incorporate as many of these into your diet as you can.
Some of the ways I've been making sure that I get these top 10 foods in is:
✅ 100% celery juice first thing each morning on an empty stomach. Celery in another juice later on, as part of an adrenal snack and/or in a green salad. ✅ Wild blueberries, papaya (sometimes), cilantro, spirulina, ginger, 2+ cups leafy greens and coconut water in my daily heavy metal detox smoothie. ✅ Ginger in salad dressing and the MM Ginger Water. ✅ Sprouts as part of an adrenal snack, in collard wraps and in green salads. ✅ Garlic in homemade salad dressings and on potatoes. I double the garlic in every recipe that calls for it. ✅ Coconut Water in the Medical Medium Aloe Cooler. ✅ Papaya as part of an adrenal snack or lunch. ✅ Cilantro in guacamole. ✅ Many of these foods can be found in @medicalmedium recipes.
❓Are YOU getting these vital foods in your daily diet?
This info was paraphrased from the “10 Super Healing Foods pdf” on medicalmedium.com. Go there to learn what the health benefits are of these 10 foods!"
Let’s talk a bit about Fennel for a sec. I have been sharing about this plant a lot in my stories and have been getting some questions SO I thought I would break it down a bit for ya.
From a bulb to a stalk to a frond this veggie is so good for you! Like celery, the entire plant is edible which lends itself to a variety of cooking applications. It’s a member of the parsley family too!
It’s high in vitamin C, lots of iron, fiber and potassium. The essential oil fennel can be purchased by itself AND you will find it in digize (great to get things moving in the tum tum and help it feel better), and few of the supplements from YL like Mindwise (hello brain and heart support at its finest).
If you hit the google it will give you so many more of the health benefits, as well. Search cancer and fennel, heart disease and fennel, blood pressure and fennel and more then get some fennel in yo life! #youareworthit#healthbenefits

Do BCAA’s break intermittent fasting? .
The answer is YES they do! So I take them close to when I’m about to break my fast 💪.
BCAAs have macronutrient value as well as caloric value which would make them technically food. .
Don’t forget that one of the objectives of intermittent fasting is to have very low levels of insulin during the fasting interval. So, if you take a supplement like the BCAAs that has the potential to signal insulin release, you are also technically breaking your fast.
An animal study published in the journal Cell Research found that following intermittent fasting for up to 16 weeks helps prevent obesity, and preliminary benefits were apparent after just six weeks! The researchers found that It kickstarts the metabolism and helps burn more fat by generating body heat. “Intermittent fasting without a reduction in calorie intake can be a preventative and therapeutic approach against obesity and metabolic disorders,” says study author Kyoung-Han Kim, according to Science Daily.
Summary of benefits 👉 💫Intermittent fasting changes the function of cells, genes and hormones 💫help with weight loss, targeting hard to lose belly fat the dangerous fat 💫can help reduce insulin resistance, lowering your risk of Type 2 diabetes 💫 can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body 💫 May be beneficial for heart health 💫induces cellular repair processes

The health benefits of chai teas isn’t only just to enjoy them on cool seasons, but they really pack a good source Polyphenols which are mostly found in plants but used as photochemical foods for them. But to us it is recognized through the body as powerful antioxidants that may help with cellular damages caused by free radicals from either our environmental elements and food even. May also help with the expansion of blood vessels hence slowing down formations of blood clots and heart disease. On the flip side though, anyone who’s caffeine sensitive or avoiding it isn’t recommended in drinking this. But more than welcome making your own which is even better! Nature’s natural caffeine is much safer than conventional. I personally am only waiting for fall to roll in so I can get into making this delicious/healthy drink again! To your health and taste buds! ☕️ #chailover
