🔥 HOW DO WE GET OVERWEIGHT 🔥⠀
At this moment we have an obesity epidemic. You can not deny this, we are all getting heavier than 50 years ago. 🍽️⠀
But surprisingly we are not eating more calories than we did before this was the case, so what has changed? 🤔⠀
This interesting post by @Chadhargrove1 gives a great overview of what has changed! 🗓️⠀
There are two main factors that have changed in our lives. 👇🏼⠀
1. The first thing that has changed is that the quality of our food has greatly changed for the worst. ⠀
We eat more processed and low quality foods, that will leave us hungrier and less satisfied. ⠀
When you consume mostly whole foods, calorie control is way easier. Since you get in more fiber, vitamins and nutrients. ⠀
2. Secondly our lifestyle has changed. We are sitting more than ever, And expend fewer calories than we did back then. ⠀
So back then our energy intake matched the output, but today that isn't the case any more. ⠀

Всю свою жизнь у меня были андройды и я ненавидела айфоны и всю эту яблочную продукцию. Вся семья поголовно начиная от Мамы заканчивая парнем ходили с ними. А я ходила с Асусом, купленным за 20 тысяч. Меня полностью устраивала эта модель и характеристики, да и цена для меня была достаточно дорогой, тк прежде мои телефоны не превышали более 10к. Для меня в телефоне важны лишь три вещи: Камера, батарея, интернет. Через менее чем год, телефон начал плохо заряжаться, испортилась Камера, батарея уже не та, и иногда подвисать, что крайне раздражало меня. И в один момент я в первые в своей жизни разбила экран и в тот момент я поняла, что мне нужен новый телефон. Я начала смотреть очередную новою модель Асуса, та, что понравилась стоила около 30к, достаточно большие деньги да? У меня тогда было лишь 5 тысяч в кармане. И парень как-то сказал, лучше айфон в рассрочку возьми.. я посмеялась и сказала, что таким дерьмом пользоваться не собираюсь. И сама на следующий день начала смотреть модели. Меня не интересовал цвет, год и прочее, интересовали так-же характеристики. И тут глаз упал на 8+, а упал из-за цвета 🤣 приятно розово-золотистый цвет😍И я влюбилась, скачала приложение хом кредит и подала заявку на рассрочку и мне одобрили! Я трясущимися руками открывала его и по секрету скажу, телефон все ещё в заводской пленке 🤣. Тк я очень бережливая в плане дорогих вещей. Я бегала как маленький ребёнок и фотографировала все подряд, в данный момент у меня на телефоне более 6тыс фотографий... ну вы понимаете, какая у меня лихорадка до сих пор..) Не могу сказать окончательно, смогу ли я когда либо вернуться обратно к андр, я влюбилась в этот яблочный телефон, его производительность и кучу достоинств и полезных программ. А на какой стороне вы 🍏/📱? Added two new movements to my arsenal today 😎. Saw my fellow trainer @stayready.fitness being explosive with his power cleans so I wanted to learn some new tricks. Took me about an hour to get this movement down so it was challenging to say the least 😅. I’ll worry about the weight once I get my technique on point. As always, criticism is welcomed 💪🏾.

I know it's "shocking" to hear that nothing comes easy. It's unlikely that something that you will place long-term value on and get so much satisfaction from is going to be easy. tis a very random combination of things but this is my GLUTE, BACK, and SHOULDER workout from saturday! I knew I wanted to get a good lift it but didn’t know what so I combined all of my faves and this was the final product. it was so nice to just be able to take my time in the gym and this workout was just what my sleepy self needed before a long weekend of studying for stats. y’all know the drill SWIPE for vids, SAVE it for lataaaa and try it yourself 😊
1. hip thrusts 2x15, 2x10, 2x6 (increase weight as reps decrease :) )
2. assisted pull ups 4x10
3. seated dumbbell overhead press 2x10-12, 2x6-8
4. lateral raises 4x12
↳ SS external rotations 4x12
5. single arm lat pulldown 3x10 each
↳ SS plate row 3x12
6. glute bridge 4x12
↳ SS cable kickback 4x10 each
i’ve been thinking long and hard about my own goals recently - physical and not. i’m in that phase where everyone is wondering what you want to do with your life and to be honest, I still have absolutely no idea. anyone else around age 21-22ish just as lost as I am? i’m sure i’m not the only one. it’s hard sometimes to stay focused when the horizon seems so broad no matter how you look at it but I guess that’s kind of the point. idk where i’m going with this honestly i guess the moral of the story is keep your head up, eyes wide, and absorb everything. I feel like i’ve learned more in the last year or college than i did in my entire first 2 years combined and a lot of that I attribute to really trying to keep my mind open to any possibility. and my life path looks a lot different now than it did for that reason. idk this is ridiculously jumbled so I shall leave it at that. ANYWAY hope you’re all having a lovely monday so far - it’s perfect outside and i think that’s contributing to my v low stress levels. have a wonderful evening pals 💕

RECIPE BELOW👇 Now that it's winter I feel like it's time to start cooking a load of soups and stews! This butterbean & vegetable soup was delicious!! (Serves 4)
1 celery stick, sliced
2 carrots, sliced
1 leek, trimmed & sliced
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp chopped rosemary
600ml veggie stock
1 X 400g can chopped tomatoes
1 X 400g can butter beans, drained
Fry the celery, carrots, leek and paprika over a medium heat for 3-4 mins. Pour over the stock and tomatoes then add the butter beans and rosemary. Bring to the boil then cover and simmer for 15 mins.

Whipping up another batch of activated nuts! This time I did pecans and peanuts 😋 They were long soaking yesterday, and slow drying over night. I have been experimenting with creating homemade peanut butter using the activated nut as they are easier to digest. But I can't seem to get the smooth consistency that I want, and I'm too scared that if I keep my food processor on for too long she will die on me 😂 Maybe when I can afford a super duper one, will I be able to create my oh so desired activated nut butters 🤗

I've been getting ready for dinner party season 🥂 I will be hosting my very first dinner party in my house, which means it will be the first time using the dining room 🙌🏼 (4 months after moving in 😅)

I've just randomly placed things in baskets under the console table for now, so I will probably rejig those before my first official dinner party in 10 days. I also have a couple of pictures I'm hoping to get up on the wall before then.

There are so many things you don't think about though when it's just you eating. Have I got enough place mats?! Should I use plates or bowls?! What glasses should I use? Should I have a centrepiece?! Buffet style food or plated food?! And the all important question what should I cook to show off my culinary genius?! 🤣🤣 No pressure! I think I'll rope mum in to help 😇

I have got so many things to do, and so many lists, that the gym is having to take a back seat once again. When I'm there I think about all the work I've got to do and when I'm working I'm thinking Ooo, it would be good to train today 😅 Do you have that conversation with yourself?! For the next few months I have got to give my work 100% but hopefully I can squeeze a few workouts in once I've got the majority of my to-do list under control!
