Okay so what now?! 😱
Three weeks of October done already and we are about to head into the final stretch.
Time goes fast when you're having fun family, or when you're struggling apparently 😂 jk
They say that it takes 21 days to form a habit, buy I say who is they?!🤔 because for me I know, that some habits take waaaay longer and some just don't even stick (@thejedione the situps never made it past the first week for me 🙄 buuuttt study has improved slighyly @illucive)
We're all so different and what might be easy for someone, may be someone else's biggest obstacle to overcome.
It's all about what works for you or me, without comparing our journey to the person next to us.
These last few months of challenges have taught me a lot, but one of the main things has been how we can literally destroy our intentions and wins along the way by comparing where we are with someone elses journey or path, not realising you are looking at their chapter 17 with your chapter 3.
Focus is crucial when you are trying to adopt new routines and actions and that can't happen when you're looking outwards all the time and judging yourself and thinking about where you 'should be'.
This month has been about setting things up, trying out strategies, letting go of some parts of our days that are no longer serving us, and creating more abundance in the things and habits that do.
As you start this day 21, know that where you are right now is perfect, whether that means you are located on the corner of struggle street and zero motivation or you feel so bawsed up and strong you're thinking about competing in a half marathon for Novembers challenge (ayyyeeew are we all doing this again next month?!!!😏🤗🤣)
It's all perfect, because we grow through what we go through- nah shhh you dooooo and no I'm just stealing the latest meme/quote doing its rounds on social media 🤣😏 it's true💯
You know how we do it fams
As many times as you need to....
Have a blessed day🙌🏼⭐
Busy and productive Saturday (evening grocery run for next week heeeeyy🤗) before a day of exploring English Heritage sites tomorrow. This picture has no relevance bar I want to be back near a coast hiking 🍁🌊
Turns out burgers aren’t always a bad 🍔
This tasty dinner is a @lindamccartneyfoods burger with butternut squash chips, pickled slaw and salad
Super tasty, nutritious and a perfect Saturday night dinner ❤️
Temperatures dropped 40 degrees overnight last Sunday then it rained nonstop. Clouds overhead now, but earlier it was sunny and my neighborhood was so green.
I walked around for hours this morning Face-timing my coaching clients and my coach, hours of walking in a maybe boring suburban neighborhood but a lovely one with a variety of plants and gardens and bushes and trees.
I love how I feel right now and I love how my clients felt by the end of our calls,
and I’m trying to figure out how to create my dream coaching practice, which would look like this:
tiny, tiny fraction of clients would be remote,
bigger fraction of clients in-person,
both of those would be one-hour sessions weekly,
then maybe a four-hour once a month session throughout which we’re hiking/ canoeing/ in motion and outdoors,
and also, retreats.
I’d really love to host maybe two retreats or adult camp-like-things each year, a week or two fully immersed in fitness and healthy eating and crafts and writing and exploring and group coaching and sisterhood.
How do I do this?! Where do I begin?? That’s what I want to create, but
I’m really resistant to doing my own digital marketing and my own business building again. I strongly do not want to that.
I want the universe to flow a solution to me.
Anyway, allow and flow. We’ll see.
This weekend I'll:
Finish homework on direct communication and nutrition.
Re-read a couple @annelamott books and maybe pick up a couple new poetry books and probably something else from my reading list.
I’m also in the mood for wine later, but I probably shouldn’t, but that sounds really nice.
And lifting. Hoping to breakthrough my mental plateau on deadlifts. Two weeks out from my meet, so kinda need to get my shit together.
I’ll leave you with this irrelevant thing my kid said that made me smile and nod so maybe you'll smile and nod too: “Korea and diarrhea both rhyme.”
Yup. Cool. Until next week, may something wonderful happen to you.
