View to the old Tbilisi.
Last night, I was cursing out that I'd been asked to work all the way out at UBC with a start time that would mean dealing with rush hour traffic. But I'm trying to change my perspective on my own life so when I remembered one of my top Vancouver locations was around the corner, I figured it was a blessing in disguise.
I haven't been to the ocean or a beach since leaving Asia, so I decided to go for a stroll as the lights came out to play for the night. #hellobc
I still think about what it’d be like to leave a lot. I don’t know why I wasn’t born into a place bigger than this, and could never quite figure out why I never had the guts to go, despite being drawn to mountains and desert and roads for as long as I can remember. But what would it be like, to hop in my imaginary van with some dreamed-up friends and one-day dog. Which way? Alpine lakes west, hot springs south, slot canyons yet to be found. I don’t know why I was born into the East Coast. The only direction worth going is north and I wouldn’t miss the beach at all, no way. I wonder if I’d get sick of it, if flying home would get too expensive, if I’d ever get used to camping in 20 degrees. Instagram doesn’t help, but I still think about what it’d be like now had all this existed when I was younger, before I arbitrarily chose to plant myself somewhere, to show me a world existed outside of New England before my roots grew too deep. A weekend here, five days there never feels like enough but the thing is, I don’t think I’ll ever leave.

Meteor Crater is 700 feet deep, and over 4,000 feet across chillin' in the middle of a giant desert😎👽
Headed to Phoenix now but we enjoyed our 4 days in Winslow at Meteor Crater RV park which was super nice, with a delicious apple tree right outside our 5th wheel🍎
We spent yesterday at Petrified National Forest which was SUPER cool. Right up there with Rocky Mountain National Park. Pics to come stay tuned!🌲🌳🌵
