A tale of the girl from Kashmir. As we were busy taking photo, we saw her. Standing near the river with the morning temperature super cold. We passed her again and asked her if we could take her pic. She posed. We thanked her and gave her kitkat. She was on her way to school and was waiting for the bus. I looked around but I don’t really see any nearby houses. She must have walked out from her village. As we left her, I tried to see if there are any nearby school. The nearest school I think took us about half an hour journey up the winding road and that school is just a small building, a gov sch for the girls. Singaporean kids are so fortunate. #pahalgam#kashmir#hazanisya_travelogue#hazanisya#travelogue#traveling#travel#kashmiri#travelphotography#winter#winterholiday#picoftheday#pictureoftheday
The tale abt two men who wanted to have a photo with the hubs.. Mr Fayaz, came from a poor village in south Kashmir, been working at Shalimar & Moonshine houseboat as the caretaker(we think he is also the manager coz he can converse quite good English) went all out to rectify the houseboat wifi problem(big prob for Sgp also😝) He told hubs to give him and Husin good review in Tripadvisor. For each good review, he will get an increment. So he asked for our goodwill to write 4 reviews 2 from me and 2 from hubs. We told him we will do once we are back in Sg. In Sya Allah anything for money.
Mr Sharjahan Husin came from a very poor village in Kashmir but nearer to the China border. You will never guess how old he is. He is only 47 but I guess hardship has taken away his youth. He told us abt how he travelled to Srinagar after both his parents passed away. Living in a small house with his family of two kids, per mth 2000 rupee=$40. He told us to bring him a new hp if we come to Kashmir again. Y? Becoz his hp is a 2nd mono ringtone type of hp that is taped with duct tape. He bought it for 600 rupee=$10. He said he will pray to Allah for us to come back and bring him a new hp.😆 In Sya Allah Mr Husin.
After an afternoon rest, we decided to checkout an all halal foodcourt. Quite a distance from where we stay, abt 30minutes. So we grab there. Abt 220baht for the ride & paid 2 tolls of 50baht & 25baht. So was it worth the journey & jam(fyi the plc is near the stadium & our Lions were playing against the Elephants masa tu)? YES!!! If only we stay near the plc, I wld definitely come again! Price wise super cheap. Most abt 40-50baht per plate. There are halal warungs by the sides which we did not try. Perut dah nak meletop, mcm mana nak try. Wlpn ayam goreng makciks memanggil2 hubby said must resist coz mlm2 tak bagus mkn goreng2.😭😭😭. Takpelah, hopefully theres a next time for us to try the warungs plak.. #hazanisya#hazanisya_familia#travel#traveling#hazanisya_travelogue#picoftheday#travelphotography#miniplaza59#pictureoftheday#thailand
