I was coming out of the Last Bookstore downtown and I noticed the beautiful light in the street reflecting off of the buildings. There was a lot of people waiting at the bus stop and I saw a man walking up to each person and they all seemed to be stepping away from him. He turned on a dime and started walking straight for me. He said as he approached me in a quiet husky voice, “can you help me?” I said that I wasn't sure if I can help you but I did have a few bucks in my wallet. I handed him the money. I asked him what his name was. He said in that same quiet and husky voice, “Carren.” I had a roll of expired slide film that a friend in NY gave me in my camera and I really like the tones it captured from the scene. #hasselblad500cm
