This caption really spoke to me. It is important to make the environment that surrounds you as harmonious as possible, but what’s even more important is to notice what thoughts you entertain. Taking charge of deeply embedded thoughts and transforming them from toxin to nurturance can be a challenge. The first step is noticing what you are allowing to be entertained. Having moments of stillness to really listen to what you are telling yourself can be trying, because it is truth. But then what? How do you start the transformation? One way that I have found to be productive is to replace worry with gratitude and judgement/anger with compassion. Rather than worrying about what you don’t have, focus and be grateful on what you do have. Worrying pulls you out of the current moment and keeps you from being present. Why let worry suck joy out of you when you could be filling yourself up in gratitude with what you’ve already been blessed with. 💕 Anger and judgement are simply a mirror image of your own insecurities. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be engaged to have a reaction. Filling the experience with compassion will bring healing to the other person and yourself. Keep trying, one small step at a time. I always say, “if it’s costing you your peace, it’s too expensive.” This is a famous online quote I found and I’m not really sure who the author of it is but I use it a compass to navigate my life though this life. 💛 We must seek peace in all day we do - our work, our relationships (personal and professional), our choices, values, morality. These are just a few of the different areas I like to pay close attention to and these will be different for each person. -
Using tools such as this is so powerful. The solution portion does not need to be filled out immediately after jotting down your peace disrupters, unless it feels natural and it flows. I like to give myself some time. I’ll write down what’s causing me anxiety/sadness or any subsequent negative emotion and leave it to my unconscious mind to become conscious of the solution. -
Usually when I’m completing the first part of quick self-check, I tend to be in a worrisome space of mind- these things are still bothering me and I haven’t found a solution yet. The Full #Yoga Relaxation
Lay down on a mat or on a blanket on the floor in a well ventilated room. Abandon your body on the floor.
The hands are slightly apart from your body, the palms are facing upwards. The legs are slightly apart from each other. Become aware of your #body and of the floor.
#Exhale several times, slowly and #deeply .
Then #focus your attention upon your left leg and relax it from the toes to the pelvic area, muscle by muscle, from #bottom to top.
Experience in each part you relax fine vibrations, a slight sensation of heating and the loss of body outline.
Continue in the same way relaxing the right leg, then continue by relaxing the left arm, right arm, buttock muscles, pelvic muscles, the abdominal area, the back muscles, the chest muscles, the shoulders, the neck, the head.
