Come to think of it, we must have been crazy to go for teppenyaki on such a hot day. But Charlotte turned 23 months old today and it’s Logan’s half birthday tomorrow (as he keeps reminding us) so we went! It’s fun to celebrate the little things. 💝

I don't have a magic and I'm not forcing them, they ask me to eat that.
#Justdoit , every day, the most important thing, you have to eat it, often and they will see you and then, boom-they have a new habit.
Parents often overlook these healthy foods and go straight to what they think are more "kid-friendly foods," such as hot dogs, pizza, french fries, chicken nuggets, juice, and soda.
Your kids would be much better off learning to avoid those types of high-calorie, high-fat foods with foods that are high in fiber, low in fat, and have calcium, iron, and other vitamins and minerals, including these healthful foods that most kids love.
Like most fruits, apples are a great snack food.
They are juicy, sweet, have vitamin C, are low in calories (about 90 calories for a medium apple) and have about 5g of fiberfor an unpeeled whole apple.
Instead of giving their kids an unpeeled whole apple or a cut up whole apple, parents often give kids peeled apples, applesauce or apple juice as alternatives. Peeling the apple makes it lose about half of its fiber, and applesauce is also much lower in fiber than a whole apple and has more sugar and calories.

Yesterday at Elizabeth Shopping Center they decorated little buckets with baby carrot seedlings in them in a Peter Rabbit inspired craft activity! So sweet! Then my eldest daughter met and hugged Peter Rabbit- such a highlight for a 5 year old!! They also gave out vouchers for free ice cream cones for the kids at the local cafe! #brilliant -
Today we went to the Little Foodies by @drakessupermarkets which was brilliant!! The girls made hamburgers, cut up salad ingredients and assembled their burgers! They also had a tour of the supermarket out the back in the different food prep areas and then they were given a free show bag with some goodies in it! It also included an apple but my daughter said to me that she will eat the healthy food first and then the treats.... bless!! 😍

Basking in the winter sun this morning, the warmth was just beautiful. #tramoline All whilst I was picking up their creativity from cubby house making aka sh#!, cleaning the toilet and a mountain washing, I swear there are four people that live here that I don’t even know about.
They on the other hand are not so impressed that I’ve put them down after a home made ‘subway’ lunch for a rest.
This is the second one this holidays and whilst I don’t expect them to actually sleep I am a firm believer of rested kids are happy kids.
Yes we do have home days, the school term is so busy between school, out of school activities or the odd birthday party, some days our kids just want to play outside in their yard, pull out their toys or just be creative together, sometimes not together as all siblings have moments wanting self space, being apart.
