🎶 These are a few of my favorite things! 🎶 Ever since having a baby, I’ve taken my nightly skincare routine very seriously. It’s like to own mini spa day every single night and I look forward to it. My absolute FAVORITE thing to use is this cleansing balm by @beautycounter. It’s seriously magical and like butter for your skin. DOES IT GET BETTER THAN THAT? I think not. This morning I woke up to my husband and our sweet baby girl. She was crawling on the kitchen floor while he made us pumpkin pancakes. I took in the moment in my bathrobe, just thinking about how grateful I am for this man and the family we are creating. We don’t have any fancy anniversary plans and we decided to not even get each other presents or cards this year. We’re headed out on a family camping trip instead and are going to give each other the best gift: TIME.
Getting up and showing up EVEN when you don’t want to. Rollin’ on less than 5 hours of sleep, but made a commitment to myself and to my FitFam girls to be consistent for the next 8 weeks. .
So here I am.....Day 2 ✔️

A great day to make a fresh start! Today marks Day 1 of an 8 week program where I’m focused on nailing my nutrition!! 2 months from now I see and feel like I’ve given my all!!

It’s Monday! And it’s a great day to start something new! As a matter of fact, I started my new (old) job today, and I’m so happy to be back!

It happens. We fall out of routine. Or we get sucked into one.
Summer happened. It was great. Lots of time with the kiddos. Did a great 4 day a week program. Had lots of adventures. Ate more than I should have. Stepped away from my phone a bit more than normal (which was good.) But now I’m ready. .
Ready for routine. Ready to refocus.
The kids are back into school and activity routine now. And Now its my turn. I’ve been all over the place, so now it’s my time.
I have the next two weeks planned out and then I am jumping into round 2 of the 4 day a week program. Building strength. Pushing myself. Challenging myself physically and mentally. It is a new season and my favorite and I am going to make it a great one. I’m not waiting for the new year, or the holidays to be over. I’m starting now!! That way when those special occasions happen I don’t feel bad enjoying them a little. And I won’t have dug a huge hole to get out of in the new year. .
Are you ready?? 4 days a week?? Real food? Real life?? I’d love to have you!! Let’s do this!! .
Habit. Not a very exciting word. But truly can be life changing.
Small consistent habits make drastic differences long term and even short term.
I love to be going by 530AM but the hard part is remembering that the night before. I aim for 8 hours of sleep so yes that means I need to have lights out by 930. #yesthatmakesmesoundold Sleep is important for SO many reasons. I love mornings. So I’m committing to bed by 930PM through the end of this month.

Last 90 Days challenge. And I’m pumped!! 💪🏻💪🏻 The idea is to end 2018 with the same focus (or, better yet, MORE) when we started the year. This gal is so motivating and the book, if you have not read it yet, has so many “Ah HA!” moments, I can’t imagine this 90 day challenge won’t be awesome. Who’s going to join me?
What sets my soul on fire is knowing that I have the power to change my life. I’m the only one who can lose the weight for me, and fuel my body with healthy food. Life doesn't always go the way we plan. No matter how old we get, sometimes it's still a hard pill to swallow.
Infertility is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with and knowing we are headed down that path once again is hard. 😞
I am thankful every day that I get to wake up to such a beautiful, funny and loving little girl and am hopeful someday we will be blessed with another addition to our family. 🙏
So now we start the next journey. 🤞it's a short and successful one!

Day 6/80 ahhhh the work out week is done!! I had to find my focus this morning, so I zoned in on my Dads memory stone. I kept telling myself fight for it like he did, be strong like he was. If he could be strong and positive in his weakest moments then so can I. We just need to step out of our comfort zones, push harder, fight for it, get out of our heads. 42.5 million Americans struggle with mental illness EACH YEAR...but we rarely ever hear anyone talk about..bout to break the stigma RIGHT NOW...
As a new mom, struggling to find her way-lost, confused & disconnected from the world...I would get so upset & start to cry or yell at the drop of a bottle or cry from our new baby....I would pray everyday, I would be able to get a nap in, shower & be able to pump before she would wake up from a nap...otherwise I'd have to listen to her cry until I was done pumping...maternity leave was extremely difficult...kind of like a beautiful hell...I was isolated, unable to feel a deep passion for being a mom & could only focus on when I'd be able to go back to work...struggling with finding meaning & routine again...
Having an outlet to MOVE your BODY is so critical...to clear your mind, relieve stress & provide additional energy...whether it's anxiety, depression, or any other mental illness. The NEED TO MOVE, fuel the body properly & have a sense of COMMUNITY...literally...is EVERYTHING....MENTAL HEALTH DOES NOT MAKE US WEAK...it does NOT DEFINE US...
❤️👯Starting October 1st, our team is going to focus on becoming more mentally positive, learn healthy ways to cope besides turning to binge eating, filling our minds with comparison of others (like why is that mom//woman so perfect? When really we are ALL SHIT SHOWS...) & of course...building SUPPORTS that are easily accessible...& supportive yet hold us accountable....does your mental health stand in the way? Here are 5 tidbits about me:
1. If you can’t tell by my feed, I’m a new mom to a month old baby girl named Rooney.
2. My husband and I started dating 11 years ago and we have been married for 4 of those!
3. I love being outside but I absolutely hate being hot! Someday we will have to move away from SC because weathering the summer for 3/4 of the year is a dealbreaker.
4. My favorite restaurant in Augusta is Villa Europa! I love German food and it’s something I haven’t perfected cooking at home. You can usually catch me there for my birthday.
5. The coolest thing I’ve ever done outdoors is hike Arthur’s Seat on our honeymoon in Edinburgh! Tell me the best adventure you’ve ever taken in the comments below.

It is amazing what sleep can do! I am a night owl and getting to bed at a descent Time is a struggle. I usually get about 6 hours of not so good sleep. I usually have two kids ages 3 and 5 make it to my bed and sleep on top of me! The joys of parent hood! Last night was the first night in awhile that I got 8 hours of sleep and my workout was amazing . All my weights increased!
My goal is to be in bed by 10:30 pm. It will take some time because usually it is about 1 am!
There is always something to improve!
Here is Leg day! The video is of a lunge with an oblique twist. I used a 10 lb. plate to work my shoulders. You can use without or with more weight depending on your fitness level. Great for legs, glute, and obliques!
