Don’t be so uptight about your day.
Ditch the schedule.
This is something I struggle with so much and I work one each day. Today just made me think about it because I forgot to get one of my staple foods. Now if you have ever been food obsessed, this can really ruin your day and cause you to freak out. Not having what you planned and having to switch on the spot to something else used to give my mind an excuse to not eat. However today I realized how far I have come. Instead of freaking out, I didn’t even give it a second thought. I simply ate something else.
I consumed my thoughts with things outside of food. I wasn’t thinking about food all day so I forgot to grab something at the store.
It is so important to find a life outside of your mental illness. To not let it define your day and make you schedule every little thing. It’s great to forget and just adapt.
So take today and forget a little because you can. Your thoughts should be filled with better things anyways.
