I can officially say good bye to my rest days 👋🏼 had a small but good session this afternoon!... Starting something like this is incredibly daunting that feeling of not knowing if I’m doing It right or the little voice in my head that consistently says “you ent gna do this” but I’ll be honest thoughts and feelings like that serve no place in my practice 💪🏼 I take something difficult I want to do... I break it down into easier chunks... I practice each chunk.. then I put them together! Something I’ve always done I find it extremely affective. Here’s me practicing a chunk from something new I want to do.

Tomorrow is DAY 3 of #getdownandyoga and we are challenging your balance. Test your bodies limits - find that point between the teetering edge and stillness. As a dancer, balance is imperative, but there is such fun in learning what throws us OFF balance, how we can reverse it and fall. Or what feels almost impossible to balance... that is a challenge that needs to be mastered. So I encourage you to tilt and to fall! Be wild! For long time now I’ve been thinking about getting some canes. But had so many things putting me off the idea.... for one look how flippin high it is!! 😳 (they do come in smaller sizes btw I got the big ones) but seriously all things that put me off doing this make me want it more. The point behind my practice is to know what I can do being on the floor or in the air it shouldn’t matter!!Big thanks to @fitnessbymarko_ for sorting me out big time!! The guy is seriously talented. His equipment is top quality! And he answered a ton of questions I had for him 👊🏼 definitely check him out if your after guidance!

Practicing finding stillness in the midst of chaos. Pema Chödrön says the mind can be a dangerous place sometimes. She equates our thoughts to an unruly elephant stomping around. Think about that... imagine even an unruly pony for a moment.. I wouldn’t want that in my house. Since we live in our thoughts it’s up to us to recognize the power our minds have, and to accept that there is an elephant level of chaos potential up there. Maybe we can find peace with that elephant instead, and recognize our ability to harness all of that power. Even if it’s only a few minutes out of the day.
