MY FIRST EVER POST (I think it was this, lol), 4 YEARS AGO
It was almost four years ago, I started to share my recipes online, via Facebook. This 'Tikka Cheese Boti' was one of the first recipes I posted. It took off immediately and within a couple of hours, it was already being replicated in many kitchens 🎆🎇🎉
Some served it with chips, used it as a sandwich filling, put it inside pitta bread, mixed it with cooked pasta, served with potato/sweet potato wedges, the serving suggestions just went on and on. Ma'sha'Allah, it was an absolute hit 👍👏 and, every person that replicated this dish, made it to perfection 👌 .
Today, I received a message from a recently married young lady. She sent me a photo of her version of this 'Tikka Cheese Boti', which she made for her in-laws and, went on to explain that her mum first made this dish nearly four years ago. Here she was today, rustling up the very same dish for her new family. She told me that her mum has been making this dish, literally every week since 2014, when I first shared it. .
It was such a beautiful, loving message. The thought of this sweet young lady taking my recipes with her, from her maternal home to her marital home, makes me want to do even more than I already am 💖
