November 2018 | The beginning. My hair is baby fine, relatively thin, but very strong. I have been using bleach, henna, and chemical dyes for many years.
This is the start of my journey to the healthiest hair I can possibly grow.
Now I’m fading and growing out henna in favor of my natural color. No more coloring.
Starting from just around shoulder length and growing to waist. No more cutting from this point, only self performed dustings.
I used a honey lightening treatment twice and did notice a difference. Hair was also noticeably visibly dry from many (wonderful) hot showers.
I have since excluded my hair from getting wet with hot water. I have also started using a BBB, using the inverse method, and opted for a higher protein diet. My next step is to start transitioning into co washing!
Hi friends, long time no see! We had an unfortunate accidental hair cutting experience a couple weeks ago (Viv tried cutting out her own elastics but ended up cutting off chunks of hair 🥺😵) but we got it fixed and I’m learning to do styles with some short pieces!
Today I did my favorite style, 4 braids on the left connected to a high right side pony, but I did something I had never done before...STRAIGHT HAIR! It makes Viv look SO grown up! It’s such a fun change and it makes it look like a totally different style!
