hello darlings. it have been just 7 days of offline life but i have already impression to be out of current online flow for a few years. at least it feels like that. today is my first dayoff at #monastery and also first time when we got our phones back for a few hours. i just wanted to say that im doing well so far. its very hard for me to adapt to the strict #monastery routine psychologically but also physically. fron 5am till 10 am im busy with any kind of monastic obligations: classes, chores, chanting sessions and meditation. lack of sleep, rest and personal space was the hardest part so far. but i guess its just first week and hope it will be easier afterwards. we speak a lot about selfcultivation here, so i hope through the daily hardships and discipline learn something about myself and my personal limits. so the experience is super challenging but very interesting. the #monasticlife is so different from everything i have seen before and moreover the traditional #chinese context makes it even more surrealist. f.e. #thepicoftheday of our evening #chanting sessions in the beautiful #haijin 🌝🙏i have few more hours with phone to answer your comments and messages. for my local friends: its possible to visit me every saturday afternoon, till 4pm i can show you around the monastery, unfortunately im not allowed to leave the territory but you will see the fgs is so huge we will find what to be busy with. thank you very much for your support and concern. i will tell and show you more of my current #monasticlife 🙏 miss you all just terribly. with best wishes ❤
