"This challenge did a lot for me. Over the past 30 days I have lost 6.8 pounds, which for me is a lot of weight since I am not a large person. Prior the challenge I basically ate anything I wanted and I didn't cook a lot. This challenge forced me to plan ahead more to prepare my foods for the week. I started cooking a lot more and caring more about the items I was eating. I started reading the ingredients in food more, which made me realize how many items have added sugar! The first week was tough, but to be honest I don't miss dairy, bread, or alcohol. Prior to the challenge, I never ate this many vegetables or made sure to drink this much water.
My pain has decreased and my energy has increased throughout the challenge. I don't know which of the items I removed from my diet helped or if it was the increased vegetables or added fish oil, but something was off (probably all of the above!!!). This challenge showed me I need to be more thoughtful of the items I eat, as well as the portion sizes. I will definitely continue to think of these portion sizes during each future meal and continue to work more vegetables into each meal. "
