Every so often I get asked: are you a Beachbody coach? 
Nope! (However, I did fall for that crap once in my life 😫) Every thing I share on this page is based on my training, experience and education.  A bit about my background and qualifications: 
I began teaching group fitness in college and  continued by becoming a certified personal trainer.  I took a break from teaching/training to work in insurance industry and have some babies.

I couldn’t stop the itch- I missed teaching and training others, so I became re-certified and added Zumba, Precision Nutrition and a Women’s Fitness specialization to my long of certifications.  All of these have helped me to create a client centered, habit based and scientifically backed method of coaching women to move away from disordered eating patterns and poor body image to living balanced, healthy and HAPPY patterns.  It’s not a diet.  It’s not a program you buy for 4 payments of 39.95.  It’s not selling you tiny containers or cleanses or pre-portioned astronaut food.

D48 #365project: Who else out there has that negative voice in their head that is like a Pavlov‘s dog response whenever you see/hear something you want? What I mean by that is whenever I would see something I want or hear somebody talk about achieving something that I want to achieve it would trigger that voice and because I had such little belief in myself, it was almost inevitable that that voice would win out. That other part of me that always wanted more thankfully would never completely give up, it might take a moment to heal from the beating, but it never went away! I feel that these habits are starting to make me feel a belief in myself that hasn’t been there in the past. So much so that recently when I see things that I want that voice of belief is stronger and it’s more of a fair fight! The one day I intend that voice of belief to be so strong that the roles have completely reversed and the only thing they hear inside my head is you can do it! I now know with time and effort consistently applied this will happen, wait I mean it is happening! Make tomorrow a great day!

When I tell people that I want to live to be over 100 years old, they usually respond with, “Oh gosh! I never want to be that old. That sounds awful.” At first I found that really confusing. I didn’t understand why that wouldn’t be awesome.

I realized that my vision of living that old looked a lot different than their perspective of it. I picture Ryan and I still serving our local community. I see us playing with our great grand children. I see us with energy and strength.

Maybe it sounds crazy, but I’ve met enough people who are in their 80’s and 90’s that still have a sharp mind and an able body who didn’t intentionally eat the way I eat and teach my clients to (granted, they lived off of better food in their earlier life than we do these days) to believe and have hope for a high quality of life well into my early hundreds!

The notion that we’re bound to get diabetes, dementia, or have a heart attack before 70 is both tragic and extremely misinformed.
.
More and more research is showing the the top degenerative diseases that people are experiencing as they age are preventable. Our bodies are very forgiving and are designed to heal when given proper nutrition. .
What we eat becomes the building blocks of our body. Change what you eat, change what you’re made of.

I’ve considered myself an extremist for most of my life. I either eat ridiculously healthy or terribly unhealthy. I workout hard every day or skip 3-5 days. I’ll sometimes work all day and into the night past 3am because I just can’t pull myself off.

Then after, you’ll feel like you might as well walk out to your car. And drive to the gym. If you can just get to the gym and do one set of something, you’ll almost always finish your workout.

You’ll get that feeling half way through your workout where you feel amazing and think, “This is why I go to the gym.”

Make sure to put energy towards all important areas in your life, not just the easy or comfortable ones. As soon as you’ve solidified habits in one area (say health), focus more energy towards another (say relationships), and then another until you are balanced and happy. This should be a continuous outward growth throughout your life.

I’ve considered myself an extremist for most of my life. I either eat ridiculously healthy or terribly unhealthy. I workout hard every day or skip 3-5 days. I’ll sometimes work all day and into the night past 3am because I just can’t pull myself off. • • I’ve recognized this pattern in myself and have worked hard to create more balance in all areas of my life • • Understanding that even doing something half ass for 5 minutes is better than nothing. Esta receta es infaltable en el menú semanal!
INGREDIENTES
👉MASA DE FAJITAS ✔300 gr. de harina integral
✔190 ml. De agua
✔50 ml. de aceite
✔8 gr. de sal
✔1 cda de amapola
✔1 cda de amaranto
👉RELLENO
✔1 cebolla grande cortada en julianas
✔1 morrón rojo grande cortadas en julianas
✔1 morrón verde grande cortadas en julianas
✔4 champiñones grandes fileteados
✔3 cdas de choclo
✔2 cdas de queso crema light
✔Sal, pimentón dulce, perejil
PREPARACIÓN
👉MASA
Mezclar todos los ingredientes hasta formar una masa compacta. Llevar a la mesada previamente enharinada y amasar durante 5 minutos hasta que quede homogénea y elástica. Luego formar un cilindro y cortarlo en 10 trozos. 
Formar  bolitas con cada trozo y amasar con el rodillo hasta lograr una tortilla redonda de medio centímetro de grosor apróx.
Cocinar en una sartén, cada tortilla armada, durante 30 segundos de cada lado. Reservar.
👉RELLENO
En un wok saltear la cebolla, los morrones y los champiñones. Luego incorporar los granos de choclos y agregar condimentos junto con el queso crema. 
Armar cada fajita con el relleno y llevar al horno para que te queden calentitas!!

It has got to be one of the most annoying things to experience. hi oddly enough seem to be starting to require less sleep than I have been used to for, well all of my life & I really do hope this is truly a fluke. To just require 5 hrs of sleep a night would help my productivity tremendously. I mean come on that’s at least an extra 2 hrs every day & time is the one thing that’s hard to get more of. So it will be interesting to see if this is the case. Make tomorrow a great day!

I am currently in the constant learning and doing of what FEAR and EGO are and the effects they have on us. These two can make or break someone. What we achieve, relationships we make, decisions we take, everything in life can be driven by the two.

On FEAR: One of my favorite quotes lately is “Nunca nadie se arrepiente de ser valiente” “No one ever regrets being brave”. Fear-less. Sometimes we get caught in the worrying and that can cause fears: We worry about the “what if’s” and the PAST and the FUTURE which affects our PRESENT. We worry about the people that depend on us, and about many things that we really don’t have any control over. What I am saying is that worrying is different than caring. I care a lot about my family, my friends, and my businesses. But I’ve stopped worrying about them and instead CARING even deeper and enjoying them even more. Being intentional with everything that I care about.

On EGO: I do believe we need ego as a driver for creating things in life and achieving them. But ego truly is the enemy when we don’t have the awareness about what it is doing to us or for us.

I see ego as a large strong bushy tree that we need to continue to shape and give life to. We must keep it trimmed from the unnecessary and help it become bigger and stronger for itself, so it also provides shade and fruits to those around it.

This summer I finally feel like I’m getting back to myself, and some balance. I committed to establishing new habits that helped me keep and set boundaries with the amount and kind of work I did, to doing more of the things that bring me joy and less of the things that don’t, to slowing down, to being with friends and to putting adventures back on the priority list. 
We’ve taken lots of walks, many many bike rides, visited friends, had friends over for dinner, wine, or both, taken a minimum of a once weekly day trip, and spent more time connecting as a family. 
I’ve still been working, plenty, and I’ve taught 40+ classes a month at the studio, BUT, I made sure that my time there was about connecting and NOT about working. 
What a difference a shift in intention makes. 
Finally, finally, I can feel my feet again, I can breathe.  I can have some time to myself, I can make time to move my body every day, give myself permission to not spend my evenings working, take naps when I need them and maximize the time I do spend working to be highly efficient and productive. 
When I was operating in exhaustion mode, sleep deprived, energetically depleted and running my life as though everything on was fire at the same time (because... it kinda was), nothing felt satisfying, not at all. 
As I’m rebuilding my foundation, re-establishing habits that fill me I’m able to root down into joyful stability. 
As I head into my last week off of teaching I’m committing to maintaining these habits as we move into the new school year, and getting back into my body and my strength again. 
I’m grateful for the lessons that brought me to this place, and especially grateful to finally have stepped out of the shadow and into the sun again.

Fact is other parents are active with children of all ages. That choose to feed their kids healthier food options so that they learn these habits.

Fact is, people with disabilities or injuries decide to have no choice but to heal or want to find different ways to be active.
.
Fact is you have the same 24 hours in the day as people who work 10-12hrs a day and STILL make their health a priority. .
.
So why not you? Why dont you deserve a quality of life. Why dont you deserve to be happy and healthy?
Because you do!
Find the time, eliminate that excuse and come talk to me for a realistic plan of action. I will organize your time for you. And figure it out.

I started the gym from 2016 but I was not getting the results I wanted instead I was putting on weight like everyday. I never wanted to change my eating habits because I'm a foodie 😂 then I started to get uncomfortable and irritated when persons kept on asking if I'm pregnant 😒. Now I said enough is enough, changed my eating habits and work out harder in the gym 💪. Now look at me 👀😍 getting back to where I was.
