#livetsomguide

There are two crucial factors (a person and a place) in my returning to white water kayaking after eleven years of absence, meaning proper WW sit-in kayaking. I stopped competing in 2001. when I started studying kinesiology, and started WW kayaking for fun in 2012. In the meantime I've been working as a raft guide, in-line roller skating coach, skiing teacher and tour leader, triathlon coach... Then in 2012. thing shifted. I got fired as a triathlon coach from Zagreb Triathlon Association (won't get into reasons now) and met my ex and (then) future boss, in my kayaking club. So that season I did the course and started working as an outdoor guide for @raftrektravel And loved it from the start. Focus is on river kayaking and rafting. One of the colleagues was Marko Lini (his FB name), who fell head over heels in love with kayaking and, with his enthusiasm, pulled me completely back into it. That's the person.
The place is Toplana rapid on Sava river, almost in the middle of Zagreb city. Our home run which I rediscovered with him. Now I have a car and a roof-rack so it takes me 10min to get there from my garage and have a perfect session.
And that's where we made are first serious video edit, about our favorite playground. Markolini and I spent a whole week on my computer, learning how editing works and were super proud of the outcome. Which got only 500-ish views on YouTube. But who cares, we love it (the rapid and the video alike), and here it is... Joy of Flood 🙂❤️ https://youtu.be/O_O00KEc-M0 (linked in my bio)
Why climb Mt Elbrus?
Not only becuase its the highest peak in Europe, one of the seven summits but its also a great adventure in the Caucasus that will give you unforgettable memories. .
The north route is remote and at the beginning green and full of flowering life. The higher you get the more mountaineering skills required.
I would say its a life changing adventure. If You are interested or want to join us next summer please contact @expeditionsresor .
Took the picture, of Elbrus and its reflection in the water during a morning walk just before the sunrise, erlier this year.
